I had a very disappointing and humiliating experience at this salon. I was quoted a fixed price for permanent straightening. After I paid the agreed amount, the stylist became upset because I didn't include the tip, I told her that I was out of cash would pay her later but she kept yelling at me and started cussing me and asked me to leave . This happened in front of my children, which was extremely embarrassing and unprofessional. These people don't understand that tips are earned with kindness and good service not by demanding, and I really didn't have cash so couldn't pay but promised her to come back again, but she was super mean, think before you go to this disgusting place! Might happen with you too! These people are psychos!! No humanity! Little bit about their salon! The salon appeared very unclean. Hair was left all over the floor, and the overall space did not feel maintained. I did not see tools like combs or scissors being cleaned between clients. At one point, the same scissors appeared to be used after a customer had a cut, without being sanitized. Staff did not appear to wash their hands between clients. The broom used for cleaning looked very dirty. The restroom did not have soap available and did not appear hygienic. The salon also had an unpleasant smell. Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor hygiene practices, and the way I was treated make this a place I would not recommend. read more

Updating to show fully healed eyebrows & lips. Lina at Headliners Salon is amazing! Lips are especially painful to recover from, so just be warned. Nothing at all out of the ordinary, you just might as well take a Tylenol before the app & keep up with that for 2 days. Went to see Lina using a special I got for roots. I'm on a budget and their prices are reasonable. Got my roots done and a basic blow dry (most places now charge for this but shockingly I didn't get charged extra for this). Left with my roots no longer gray at an affordable price without being there for hours. Would return. Thanks Lina. :) Also this place gets busy which is a good sign! I wish I had checked the Google reviews for this salon before going, but I only checked Yelp. In the answered questions it says $40 for wash, cut and blow dry from 1 year ago, but when I got there I was told it is $45 for these services. Okay, that's fine, I accepted, and thought not that big of a deal.. but now that I think about it, it's quite a big price increase from 1 year to the next. Also, I declined getting the round brush along with the blow dry, saving her time and work (I don't like having the round brush blow dry). At the end, she pretty much demanded a tip.. made me feel like I was obligated to pay it. I felt no guilt whatsoever when I told her to only run my card for $45. She was not friendly towards me at all. I asked how she was doing and she didn't ask me.. maybe that's when I should have left. More rude behavior followed. She only glanced for a second at the pictures I brought and was more concerned with chit chatting with the other woman working there in their language and checking her phone. I thought she was extremely rude and unprofessional. You never know if they're talking about you.. like in the episode of Seinfeld. I knew I would never return here and I regret coming here. After 2 weeks, I hate my haircut. It's the worst cut I've ever gotten. Tips are provided for a good service, not just granted. To be so rude and unfriendly and to expect and ask me for a tip really was the icing and the whole experience didn't sit well with me at all. After I left, I checked the reviews on Google.. a bunch of others with the same experience I had. I need to be more careful.. the place I usually go to in Reseda charges $30 for these services and they are very nice. I took my friend here for a haircut and eyebrow wax. We had called in advance and they told us to walk-ins were welcome. We had already gone to the website to see what the prices were and it was definitely reasonable. When we arrived there were only three chairs in the waiting area, the ladies seemed very nice but some of them ignored us for the first couple minutes. When my friend was done she told me that they charged much more than what they have on their website. So if you come to this place please make sure to ask for the prices in advance because their website prices are definitely not accurate I believe it was $5 more for the haircut and several dollars more for the eyebrow wax. I came here for Microblading brows and semi permanent eyeliner tattoo. MEI did my Eyebrows and they came out AMAZING. I was so afraid to get my brows done because so many people dont do my eyebrows the way i like they either do it to thick or too thin. And i always feel as a black person no other race can typically get them correct. In fact i never get my eyebrows waxed for this reason. But Mei did them PERFECT. Seriously. She kept checking with me if i liked it and she did them better than I ever have. And now its permanent for a couple years!!!!!!! She draws and checks before starting and she constantly checks to make sure its even and complete. She's super detailed and im here for it.
