She gives hands-on corrections and great verbal instructions. There are a lot of different classes for all levels of yoga. Some of them are much slower and more hands-on than the faster paced classes. Linda is incredibly encouraging and uplifting. She weaves her humor in to serious topics around health and wellness. I would highly recommend Shakti Yoga Woodstock.

My husband took me as a birthday present last year, and it was so good that we had to go back again and I felt compelled to shared why. Victoria Balentine is the owner of the farm and the yoga instructor, and I cannot rave about her enough. She used to be a yoga teacher in NYC and, in addition to goat yoga, she is currently practicing as a wellness healer licensed in acupuncture and other holistic healing medicines. For that reason, she comes from a place of true genuine care and has such a great vibe. She has such a calming presence and she makes sure that everyone was comfortable and had ample goat experience. The goat yoga class itself PHENOMENAL. The goats were incredibly playful and affectionate, and it was so relaxing to do yoga while surrounded by them. Having them around while practicing yoga truly brings out your inner child :) After the yoga class, I took a farm tour with Victoria and her husband, where I learned all about the baby yoga goats as well as their mothers! The goat mothers were so sweet I couldnt tell you if the babies or mothers were cuter! We also met her adorable chickens and saw them laying eggs! She showed us how she milks the goats and makes a variety of amazing cheeses. She also grows all her own food and eats completely seasonally. I was so inspired by the humane and sustainable farming practices that the farm uses that every since then my husband and I have tried to adopt a seasonal diet and eat local whenever possible. Overall, I had such an incredible time at the goat yoga farm and farm tour with cheese tasting that we came back again the next year. This is an experience I highly recommend to everyone! Here are some of the things I loved most about my experience: The goats were so adorable and playful and bring out your inner child The yoga class was relaxing and fun. The goat yoga teacher/farm owner is phenomenal and inspirational The farm tour was so interesting and beautiful The cheese tasting was delicious. I started attending classes at NN in 2023, during its first iteration and am happily continuing to sink into my movement and healing journeys under its fantastic new stewards Catherine and May. They've recently added so many exciting new classes to the schedule; it's positively brimming with enticing offerings. If I hadn't decided to spring for a membership I'd definitely be having trouble choosing which classes to attend. The membership is more than worth the investment! As someone who was born and raised in the Hudson Valley, I'm so grateful that community-minded spaces like this exist. I'm always on the lookout for studios that center inclusivity and don't shy away from the full energetic spectrum of healing -- not just the white-washed, toxic positivity kinds that can too often accompany many healing modalities. There is so much value in being allowed the space to experience whatever comes up on your own terms within the walls of this beautiful, light-filled studio. The event was great. The staff was informative and attentive, especially knowing it was my first time. I was welcomed with some hot tea. Restrooms were clean. Gift shop has a lot of cool holistic stuff, like stones, salt (duh!), candles, teas, etc. I plan on coming back. I left feeling so refreshed!
