So I have mixed feelings about this place. I heard that it's communal seating. I don5 like strangers so that doesn't work for me but there's always the bar. Now let me tell you I'm very impressed with their menu!! They have entrees you won't find anywhere else. But what I most loved was their version of old fashioned. Our last visit( family ) there was marginal , mainly due to the quality of the burger. The salad has gotten smaller and they took away the Pearl street burger which was killer. First time visit to this new place! It's pretty close to Galleria Mall. Private parking lot. Nearby Lazy Dog also. The vibe is awesome!! Such a COOL place! Huge bar with tv's and seating all around. Great 'pit' with couches and large comfy chairs. Great outdoor area with a fireplace and heaters. We sat outside even though it was cold - and we were fine. Very nice service. Everyone greeted us with a smile. Our waitress was great. Large selection of local beers and whiskeys. Interesting drink menu. I had the chicken sandwich and truffle fries and a Moscow Mule. Everything was good. The truffle fries come with a sauce like gravy instead of oil, etc. I didn't really care for the texture and dipping my fries. I had the lovely opportunity to attend their soft opening and I instantly fell in love with everything they had to offer from a wide variety of options, kind staff, beautiful exterior and interior designs, clean restrooms, and just an overall great vibe. Everything seemed to run very smoothly. The kind staff were attentive with a genuine smile and were knowledgeable about everything on the menus. I learned that they offer over thirty rotating American craft beers on tap, good selection of small-batch whiskeys, and different wines and you can ask what pairs best with items on the menu. I enjoyed their bourbon caramel pecan cake and campfire chocolate fudge brownie paired with vanilla bean ice cream. The cake was very light and not too sweet but brownie was a little too rich and maybe it was missing something - but still perfect for sharing! The main menu offers homemade Americanized style cuisines such as fried Mac and Cheese balls, cauliflower bites, and Fish Taco with chips and salsa. They do specialize in gourmet burgers / sandwiches and it honestly all looked sounded delicious. The Fresno Fig Burger had a nice balance of sweet, tangy, and salty components that was my favorite! In my perspective, there seems to be a limited selection for fully vegan and or gluten free choices, but I still appreciate what they have to offer prepared from scratch. Amazing spot to catch up with family and friends over a drink and bite. Comfortable and cozy environment, pleasant hospitality, and there is something for everyone. Very nice bar/grill. My son and i had dinner here tonight. At 5 it was pretty quiet, but ramped up by 7:30 when a few folks were waiting to be seated. If it hadn't been raining, i'm sure these folks would have been sitting in the nice outside area. Simple menu leans toward burgers. Son tried the bison after the server recommended it. Son said it was very tasty, but he didn't like the hot pepper on it. I had the ahi salad. I thought it was adequate, but a little on the small side. The dressing was really tasty, wish i asked to have it on the side. Ahi looked nice, but was flavorless. We also had the white truffle fries. The dipping sauce was very good, but the shaved white truffle didn't add anything in terms of flavor. Service was attentive and quick. read more

I am rating this a 3, but this is more of a 3 minus....possibly based on the ambiance, the good service, and the fact that my fiancee and I did not order a drink (she wasn't up for one, and I had to drive home after a long day). I didn't know that peppers were added, but once you get passed the delicious crunchy fried batter, one expects to bite through to soft and gooey cheesiness.....a "crunch" was not welcome, and through the texture off. This may be a personal preference type issue, so I am not dinging them, per se, but I wouldn't order them again, for this reason alone. BEWARE if you are a mac and cheese ball purist (Is that a thing? Heck....fried anything cheese will have me going!) For my main order, I got the fig burger, which was bacon, fig jam, and goat cheese on a bun. The burger was impressive....I ordered it well done, yet it did not lose any juiciness. As the goat cheese and bacon were salty and powerful, my minor complaint would that there should have been more fig jam to help neutralize the strong tastes, but would definitely order again, and ask for extra jam. Why the "minus," you ask? My fiancee's chicken strips tasted like burnt oil (her words). If you are a bar specializing in drinks and "bar food," you need to know how to fry right. Great burger, but bad on the frying dishes. Even with a three, this is one of those restaurants that I wouldn't recommend, but if friends wanted to get a drink and/or eat here, I wouldn't put up a fight, and just go along. read more

Sunday, 2/13/2022 - Checked out Eureka! restaurant in Roseville, Ca. Lazy Dog restaurant was the next building over. Quiet and clean area. Upon arrival: Pros: 1) lots of parking. 2) they have a bar inside the restaurant and outside the restaurant. 3) There's seating inside the restaurant and seating outside the restaurant. 4) the hostess was ready to seat us as soon as we walked in. She was very friendly and professional with a smile. 5) we sat outside with an umbrella for shade. Today was pretty hot for February. 6) we ordered a bloody mary, wings, crispy brussel sprouts, charred grill cauliflower, and American cheese burger with truffle cheese fries. 7) all of our foods were good. Except.... (see cons below). 8) waitress checked on us several times. She was very quick getting our refills or if we needed anything. She was very nice and professional. 9) the water here tasted good. No metal taste. 10) tables, chairs, plates, utensils, and cups all clean. 11) women's bathroom was clean. There's 2 stalls and a baby changing table. 12) it wasn't too loud here. We were able to talk and hear each other. Cons: 1) the charred grilled cauliflower had a weird after taste. None of us liked it. 2) the crispy brussel sprouts dish was not crispy. It was very soggy. Still good. But I was expecting to get some crisp when I bite into them. All was soggy. 3) my friend said burger was just ok. Not much flavor. Conclusion: I liked this place. Not too bad. But I don't think I'd go out of my way to come here again. But if someone asked me for a nice quiet place to have lunch, nice ambiance, be able to talk and hear one another, I'd say it's ok here. We had a nice time sitting outside talking. It's very clean here. At least we didn't have any issues. May have to try a different dish should I ever pass by this way in the future. read more

This was a great restaurant and we stumbled upon it since the other restaurant had a long wait. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. We ended up getting an couple appetizers - wings and cauliflower bits - both were very good. The cauliflower bites came with a garlic aioli and the bites were cooked perfectly. I ended up getting a french dip for dinner, which was good, but the burger menu sounded good and some that were coming out to other tables looked amazing. Definitely trying a burger next time and this is a restaurant you don't want to pass by on! read more

First thing I want to say is the chicken is incredible. I wish they sold the chicken tenders by the bucket. The chicken sandwich was even more amazing, I'm still thinking about it. Decent beer selection. Really nice staff and it is a very nice and clean restaurant. Our food came out perfectly. Kids meal was first (love places that do that), appetizer next, and with just enough time to finish our appetizers our food came next. I ordered the steak salad which was really good but I wish my stead was cut a little thinner but overall delicious. The outdoor set up was kind of a little weird and we kept getting gnats in the drinks but that's just from being outside I guess so that's why it is 4 stars not 5. Can't wait to come back! read more

Was bored in my hotel room so walked over around 9:30pm. They had the Lakers game on and some great beers on tap that I hadn't tried yet, so was a very pleasant experience. The bartender was amazing and recommended some awesome beers including a Key Lime Pie Sour and a Velvet Cheescake Sour. Their sweet potato fries were on point. As I was leaving, I left my credit card. The bartender ran me down while walking to the parking lot to make sure I had it. I don't know many people that would be willing to do that. Wanted a new place to try for lunch and came across this place. It is located right next to Lazy Dog. I was a little concerned that there was not a wait compared to the Dog's massive amount of ppl standing outside waiting there. We walk in and got seated right away. Much smaller inside than you'd think. About 1/3 of the dining area is outside. The cool part was that there is a roll up door from the bar and it opens to the patio so you can sit at the bar outside or walk up and order while you are out there. The menu is very limited, one page. It is either apps, burgers, or sandwiches along with a great variety of craft beers. I ordered the spicy crispy chicken sandwich that comes with fries. Friend ordered the Napa Chicken sand. We shared the grilled Brussels sprouts. The sprouts had good flavor although a little undercooked, the bigger pieces were very hard. Out came our sandwiches and they looked good. The fries were very good, not frozen. chicken was very fresh and moist. The crisp was perfect. However, the breading on it was extremely salty. I thought maybe it was the spice but no it was just a mouthful of salt that i could not eat it. Plus they gave me this tiny cup of water when that is all I had. I started to just take the coating off but the waitress asked is everything okay. She offered to have them remake it but thought if it was pre-made batter that it would still be salty so opted for the Napa instead. Napa was good and tasty. I would return. The flavors and freshness is definitely there. It has a good easy going vibe for just hanging out with friends. A bit trendy so not the type of place my mother would enjoy. read more

A friend wanted to try this place for the 1st time so we went for dinner. We started with the macaroni and cheese ball appetizer. They were so good with the beer cheese sauce on the inside but had a little kick to them like jalapeño poppers, we wish we could get full off of just those alone. I had the cowboy burger cooked medium well with the regular fries. You can upgrade your fries for additional charge for something like their sweet potato fries. My burger was tasty and those onion strings are great, even for those who don't like onions. My friend enjoyed her burger as well. She had the Fresno Fig along with a beer. I had their only cider option they had on their drink menu. It was good and crisp and not too sweet. We came in for a quick sunday bite! There was about a 5 min wait without reservations. I opted for the lavender iced tea since I'm pregnant which was delicious! We chose the cauliflower and wings from the appetizer menu. Both were delicious! My husband got the spicy fried chicken sandwich and loved it. I opted for the watermelon salad. I shared the bison burger and a bone marrow burger. Very good burgers and simple, with no toppings. The bison burger had a pepper that was a bit spicy but I was able to wash it down with some beer samplers. I want to start this review off by saying that the waiter and waitress involved with our party were amazing! Super friendly, very tentative, and provided us with nothing but top tier services. So THANK YOU, this 3 star is not for you. I would give those two individuals 5 stars, but I came here to share the entire experience. A few weeks in advance, I called Eureka! in Roseville and asked if they could accommodate a party of 30, for a retirement party (drinks and apps) with some staff, and if we could rent out half of the back patio area for 2 hours. The staff member did seem a little confused by my request. I asked if there was a manager I could speak with and run this by them since sometimes contracts are involved when requesting a space for a large party like that. She said no, it's fine. I made your reservation for 30+ people and that you want the patio area. I had a weird feeling about it, since this is not usually how the process is.. I have booked many events and 9x:10 you need to sign a contract and provide a down payment, but I got a text while on the phone that the reservation was made and confirmed. I asked since we will be ordering apps, how soon would they like me to place that order? She said to call a few days prior. Now, forward to a few days prior to this event. I call and a lady answers. I tell her we have a Retirement party coming up and I was told to call a few days in advance to place the Appetizer order. She seemed confused, so I asked her if she sees our reservation. She confirmed she did, 30 people, patio area.. I said okay, perfect. Can I place the order? Again, sounds confused but said sure. I again, was getting an odd feeling so I asked to speak with a Manager just so I can confirm everything. She said no, it's all good.. what would you like? I provided the order and after we hung up, immediately told a coworker that something is not sitting well with me. Now it's the day of the retirement party. I get a call at 10:55am from the Male Manager (they have two managers there - 1 male and 1 female). I did not catch names so I want to make sure to acknowledge it was a male. The male manager called me the morning of our event and told me he could not accommodate us. He said absolutely not, we cannot give you the patio space for 30+ people. I told him that he could not do that to me the day of this event. An involved manager, should have been WELL AWARE of the schedules / reservations in advanced and not the morning of, and should have called me sooner, if there was a problem. He explained that I should have signed a contract and provided a deposit. I explained my experience (everything listed above), that I have asked to speak with a manager on multiple occasions, I did question the fact if we needed to do a contract and was told no. I did tell him that the process sat funny with me, and that I had a bad feeling. I also told him that maybe he should inform his staff of the process or have all reservations for 10+ go through him. He was very rude on the phone and just kept saying he cannot accommodate. I again told him that I was sorry but he cannot do that to me the day of and that we will be there. How they choose to seat us, will be up to them at that point. That was when he decided to accommodate us and said he would provide half the patio area for our event. I thanked him and asked if he would like a deposit now, and I could pay over the phone. He declined. Then 4pm rolls around and I show up a few minutes early just to make sure all is going to be fine. I walk in and the restaurant is EMPTY - 4 guest to be exact. A gentleman greets me at the door and the Female Manager is standing there with him. I let them know we have a reservation for 30+ she kinda hesitated, explained she was the other manager there, but she is going to get the male manager that called me this morning. I am waiting for 10+ min for this other manager to come out - the female manager returns and says she could not find him.. 5 min late, he comes out from the back and looks confused. He said, "So... something you need?" Very rude, cold, not smiling, looks irritated and just not very welcoming at all. I said, "I am the person you spoke with this morning about the party of 30. The other manager said that she was going to get you?" He said, "Okay. Yeah, so you can have half the patio." I said, "Great, thank you!" After that the waiter and waitress took it from there and provided us with a great experience. Our food order was never submitted prior, so I had to tell them again once we got there. They handled it very professionally and the event turned our great! Great drinks, great food, great space.. everyone enjoyed themselves.. but in the background of it all, this location lacks strong Leadership / Managers. It's clear their managers are not running this place efficiently. Neither the male or female wanted to work with me when I arrived and passed me off.
