We came into Eureka and overall it was a mixed visit. The fried pickles were okay, nothing too special and could have been a little crispier + the dip was not very impressive. The cheeseburger itself was good but the fries were a letdown this time as they came out cold which was surprising since they are usually hot, crispy, and really good. The mac and cheese balls stole the show as always. Perfectly crispy, cheesy and the ranch dip is amazing!! They never disappoint! The kids cheeseburger was straightforward and exactly what you would expect. Service, however, really stood out today in not the best way. The host was friendly and welcoming but our waitress seemed distracted and a bit unprepared. She forgot my drink and even my daughter's meal which set things back and when the food finally did come out there was no effort to check in or make things right. It almost felt like she was either new or just not very attentive. I do love the outside seating and this is one of my regular spots but today felt a bit lazy compared to the usual standard. Edmon was hands down the highlight of the night. From the moment we sat down, he had a great attitude and made everyone feel welcome without being over the top. You can tell he actually knows what he's doing behind the bar, every drink came out quick and tasted exactly how it should. What really stood out was how he handled the rush. Even when it got busy, he stayed calm, kept checking in on us, and never made us feel like we were waiting. He's the kind of bartender that keeps the energy up and makes the whole experience better. Any visit to Eureka is a good time! This spot is even better than what we're used to with SoCal Eurekas. Good mix of indoor and outdoor seating, with convenient heating lamps and classy fire pits to keep outdoor patrons warm and cozy. Service is excellent, staff is friendly, place is clean and kept tidy, food (as expected) is tasty with delicious burgers made to order, and plenty of parking out front. My wife won this round - her Fresno Fig burger was the winner of our meal by far. I had the Eureka! American burger which always hit the spot, but Fresno Fig was hands down better (dependent on personal preference, of course). Daughter had a BBQ Bacon burger which was also fantastic. Drinks are plentiful and best part I love about their outdoor seating is that TVs from inside are visible so you can still enjoy sport events while enjoying the weather! This Eureka location holds up to its high standards that we're used to compared to multiple Eureka! locations in SoCal. Craving a mouth watering burger? Not really my style of place to eat. I'd call it a step up from chilis. Beers weren't very cold and happy hour is limited. Stood by the door with my 9.5 month pregnant wife for more than five minutes while the bar tender said nothing and just waited for the server to come out from the back. Nice ambiance I'd say that was the biggest star. Food was mid. With so much other good food in the area this place doesn't stand out. Wouldn't come back. read more

I didn't appreciate the upsellng of appetizers, alcoholic drinks and items that add an additional cost to an entree. If we had wanted any of that, we would have ordered them. I don't need the wait staff pushing them. A real turn off. I had the fish tacos. They were 2 street taco size. I didn't want frys so I asked to sub coleslaw , which was an additional 3.00 charge. We've been here once so far. It was a busy night and packed inside. We still received very good, and speedy, service. We enjoyed the burger and fish n chips a lot, the burger patty was unexpectedly small though (in my opinion). But service, food quality, and flavors were great. Eureka is so fun! Our last foray to the restaurant was in Berkeley, and we came to the Roseville location for a taste of familiarity. Eureka did not disappoint. Service was fairly quick, good beers were rotating through, and the vibe was active and friendly. We saw lots of families, couples, and groups of people out having a good time with either the indoor or outdoor seating. It's attached to La Popular next door, which we will have to try sometime soon. Parking was easy, there are lots of spaces available. Beers: 5/5 on the sours Burger: 4/5 on the double smash, could've used more than just cheese and pickles Tacos: 2.5/5 the tortillas fell apart immediately, I couldn't taste the fish, and honestly it could've just been a chip with salsa given what I tasted So excited to have had a good experience, we'll definitely be back! read more

The service was great! Indie was attentive and very sweet. The ambiance is dark, so dark that we were unable to read the menu without a flashlight. The actual menu is not what you find on Yelp or on line. We went for bison burgers, or the Crispy Veggie Beet Burger - nope - no longer serving either of these. We opted for the fish tacos. Generous serving (3) with no flavor whatsoever. If we had not had ranch and Tabasco to add to the meal there would have been no flavor. We will not likely return. read more

First of all, let me just say the greeter at the door was great! She was warm, friendly, had a genuine smile on her face and she chatted with us. Asked where we preferred to sit and she helped clear/clean the table to sit us. We sat in a corner table (half booth/half chairs). Our waitress came, name started with an E*-not sure if I can name her, and we placed our orders. I told her it was our first time there (most places would take this as an opportunity to provide the best service and food quality, right?). It took awhile to get our food and she apologized for the wait. When we finally got our food, we noticed we weren't even given utensils wrapped in the white napkins that every other table seated received. So we had to wait and flag down another waitress' attention to ask for some. Food was underwhelming, (except for the truffle fries - those were delish), serving size were small, my fish tacos were cold - like the fish itself was cold and I haven't had fish tacos before so I don't really know if that's how it was supposed to be, but it was cold. She came around to clear dishes fast. At one point, a bit too fast where my son was literally still eating and finishing off the fries and she takes the plate away from him. My daughter and I had to look at each other and we had to tell her that he was still working on it. We asked for the check. Waited again to get her attention to just pay the check. She scans the card on the reader and instead of handing me my card, she holds it in between my daughter and I, so I reach out and take it. She proceeds to do the same with the card reader, instead of handing it to me since I am clearly the one paying, she holds it in between me and my daughter again. The vibe was just very unpleasant even though she had a smile on her face. You know the saying actions speak louder than words? Well, we got the hint and we won't be back. Apparently, upon reading some of your one and two star reviews, others have felt the same way about the service they received. Maybe really try to talk with your servers and chefs if you want to avoid more negative reviews. read more

Service 5/5 Service was excellent. We came in for a super late dinner just about 9pm on a Friday night. It was not as busy as I thought, which was nice because we got seated right away. Our server was outstanding. Very nice young man. Courteous and swift with the orders. He constantly checked on us during our meal to make sure our needs were all met, and the food was up to par. Ambiance 5/5 Great location and the inside was clean, spacious layout, comfortable seats. They had a big bar as expected. Lots of stool tables around the bar for those coming to enjoy their long offerings of alcohol. They also have a nice heated outdoor patio. Food 3/5 so this is the area that we were not too impressed. - Burgers, that's what they're known for here. And they have a variety to choose from. We ordered the Jalapeo and the Double Smash. Both were great tasting burgers but nothing special. They were extremely small as well. - Baja Fish Tacos with sweet potato fries. They were ok. I was starting to feel Kalyn's people just come here to hang out and mostly for the bar -Nachos with pulled pork. Not good. We didn't finish it, nor box it up for home. We never leave leftovers either. -fried pickles. These were good. Nothing special that stood out about these. But they were tasty. Just small quantity. I bet It was 2 chopped up pickles. -Truffle fries; if you like the taste of truffle you will like these. They're Parmesan fries. But what made this dish was the truffle cheese dip that it came with. It was served warm and stayed creamy throughout our dinner. I even dipped some of the fried pickles in it. Overall the experience was great. It was our first time ever dining here and I've been curious. I won't be coming back though only because I didn't care too much for the food. read more

We were excited to finally try out your restaurant this morning and we are seriously disappointed in the 20 minutes we were there. The host set us immediately and was friendly. There was another couple on the patio and us. I used the restroom and a female server brought us water. A group of 3 came in after I had returned from the restroom, were seated, brought their drinks and ordered their food, while the female who brought us our water stayed inside on her phone. We thought after the male server took the party of threes order, he would acknowledge us but didn't. It was after being blatantly ignored in a near empty restaurant , we decided to go to Yard house because their food and service are typically on point...they didn't disappoint. I'm a Eureka fan and this Roseville location did not disappoint. I would order the glazed Brussel sprouts and fish and chips again and again. These Brussel sprouts are one of the best I've had- they come dressed with a sweet and tangy dressy. The fish was super crispy and lightly battered...I wish Eureka had tartar sauce but their malt vinegar aoili is a good substitute. Good stuff!! read more

Was here not too long ago. Forgot to review. It's not bad overall. the Mac n cheese balls were delicious. The dill ranch was great. Aged bone marrow burger - it looked pretty bland but it was really good and flavorful. The drink - I forgot what I got. It's really pretty. I took a gamble. Never had a drink with egg whites before. It was not that good. It was neither sweet or sour. It looked like it could be creamy. Unfortunately it lacked that too. It lacked any balance of flavor. - also the bartenders weren't the most responsive to those of us sitting at the bar. There were 3 but at many times they were joking and laughing against the wall. Looks are pretty deceiving. I'd come back. I'll get the food again. But not that drink. read more

I'm not going to include any pictures because it would not be doing any favors for the restaurant. We ordered a burger, chicken sandwich, fish and chips, nachos with chicken, macaroni and cheese bites, and Buffalo wings. I paid an extra $3.75 for tater tots on my burger. I received 7, total, that were stale, they should have been croutons for a salad. The Buffalo wings were plain, no sauce or seasoning even though I indicated the flavor I wanted. The truffle fries were just plain fries with a sauce container, no parmesean, stale as well. The burger was overcooked, and the chicken breast for the sandwich was dry and overcooked. The nachos were ok, as were the fish and chips. The quality for paying $150 for a meal left a lot to be desired. Presentation and quality like this is the reason why people are going out less. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because the staff was very friendly and welcoming. read more

This was my husband's and my first time at Eureka! and we really loved the atmosphere inside the restaurant--it's a great vibe. The burgers were also excellent, definitely worth trying. Unfortunately, the service ruined the experience. Our server, a middle-aged woman with glasses, came across as very condescending. Any questions we asked were answered in a dismissive tone, and her overall service skills were poor. On top of that, we were rushed through our meal and handed the check just 10-15 minutes after our food arrived, which made us feel like we weren't welcome to stay and enjoy our time. We came here randomly for a date night. There weren't many people there so it was quiet which this mom DEFINITELY can appreciate. We had a wonderful waitress who answered all of my nit picky questions and engaged in conversation and a few laughs. I'm doing this review a bit late so I've forgotten her name but I wish I could mention her cus she was great. We both ordered a burger and they were HUGE! Big huge patty but it didn't have very much seasoning flavor, more like a big patty of plain old beef. The toppings are really what made the burger. We ordered a Baja California burger, barbecue, bacon, ranch, burger and loaded tots. The tots were sooooo good I gotta give it to them, I'm not a tot girl and I liked them a lot.
