Came in last night for my birthday dinner. The vibe was really modern. We had a hard time finding parking so we parked in the garage across the street. As we walked up we saw a place to park in the same building, not sure if that's the parking but next time we will check it out. We walked in and there was a huge party already sat and a few people scattered through out the restaurant. We got our table and a nice young lady took our orders. I got the bison burger with a side of Mac n cheese balls and my boyfriend got the barbecue burger with a side of fries. That bison burger was so freaking good. I always forget to take the before picture but it looked as good as it tasted. The fried Mac n cheese balls were also freakin amazing. My boyfriend's burger was great as well and the fries were good. I ordered the spicy watermelon aqua Fresca, duuuuude. DEVINE. I would come back just for that. I noticed that someone at the big party ordered one but sent it back so it's probably not something to order unless you know you like spicy drinks. It was perfect for me. My party was seated right away, the server was quick and efficient, making sure that we always had what we needed. I ordered the veggie burger and I honestly can say that it was probably one of the best ones that I've had in the Phoenix Area. The bun had a sweetness to it, to enhance the flavor of their house-made burger. The condiments were perfectly arranged and the fries, though not the best that I've had, were perfectly fine. Menu offers great selection, food is good. Would recommend their smash burger if you want something that is relatively quick. Chicken sandwich is good as well. The negative is the bar. Understandable there are busy nights and you can get passed over, but when you look multiple bartenders in the eye when they walk by and no one comes over to you to ask if you would like a drink. Says something about the service. Yet sitting at the bar for over 20 minutes is not really good service I would say. Unfortunately this review has to be made. My girlfriend and I went to the Eureka in Austin Texas last year and we loved it! Was spectacular. We were so enthusiastic to get to the Eureka in Tempe once it opened as we live in Tucson and were pumped to drive up. When we got there we were seated fast and in the middle of the restaurant. It took about 10 minutes from the time we sat down to get waters. Reason seemed to be that they were understaffed along with it just being a new restaurant. Whatever, totally understand, and tried to be patient with it. I ordered the cheese burger and my girlfriend got the chicken tenders and they came out about 15 minutes later. They tasted meh, average, and a little frozen food. Which was throughly disappointing due to our last experience at the Austin location. As we were getting our bill (of course this was an accident and I'd never bash a place for spilling something) but if it couldn't get worse one of the managers was walking by and went to grab the glasses of water on our table for whatever ever reason and ended up knocking the entire pitcher of water all over me. Not happy lol, but was okay but didn't want to make it a big deal. Charged $70 (didn't get a drink) for dinner and upon leaving they gave us 3 $10 eureka gift cards. Thanks haha. Anyways (I wish I was done) two nights ago we went to the one in Vegas and it was spectacular (review for theirs also has been made). So riding off of that Eureka wave and driving back to Tucson we had those gift cards and decided to give Eureka another shot. Hoped that they had a chance to figure out the new restaurant and get it more efficient. When we went there last night nothing changed. The poor server was the only one in the entire restaurant, the food took so long to come out and it was so hot in the restaurant. I get it's a heat warning but it was ridiculously hot. Food again mediocre and wildly disappointing. To top it all off the gift cards only worked one at a time and only on specific menu items. Was wildly disappointed and really wish this Eureka could figure it out. Wish I took more pictures but had such a long drive never thought to think about it! EUREKA, DO BETTER!! Went here for lunch 8/23/24 and it was delicious! I wish I remembered our servers name, he was fantastic, very sweet and attentive, had great recommendations and didn't rush us while me and my friend caught up. I had run a half marathon earlier that day, and was looking for a spot with variety in their menu for a good, well earned, dinner. I saw this place on Yelp, and it looked like an upscale bar and grill, so we decided to give it a try. It was a Sunday night, so it was pretty empty when we got there. We were seated right away and our server was very welcoming. We each ordered a glass of wine, and started with wings and Mac n cheese balls for appetizers. I ordered the bbq bacon burger with fries and my friend had the Napa chicken sandwich with a side salad. A few minutes after we ordered our server came back to inform me that they had run out of hamburger buns and asked if I was ok with one of their bread options. I said yes, but I can't remember which bread I went with. The appetizers were great, and my friend enjoyed her sandwich. The burger was ok, but I think it probably would have been better with a hamburger bun instead of bread. Overall we were satisfied though, and it definitely fit the upscale bar and grill image I had pictured when I saw it on Yelp. If I am ever in town again, I will definitely give this place another try. I am only giving it four stars because of them being out of hamburger buns. read more

I was very curious about this place because it kept popping up on my searches for places to eat. It's super casual and chill. Felt very clean and had good chill vibes is the best I could explain it. I won't lie, I have been very disappointed with the food scene in Arizona. We came into this place when there was only one other table finishing up. With that, our service should of been better than what we had. Water was spilled, and our server didn't really paid much attention to us. She didn't get us a new water to replaced what was spilled or new napkins after using everything we had to clean up the mess until we asked for it. When ordering, she did tell us that breakfast burrito was smaller- which we appreciated but when asking for sides for the Napa chicken sandwich there was no mention it's an up charge for the Mac and cheese option she gave us. As for the food, nothing was great or horrible. Kinda felt like all the food they were doing a little too extra. The steak had no flavor to me- definitely needed A1 sauce to help. The Napa chicken sandwich had pesto that was overpowering the whole meal. The breakfast burrito was the best thing out of everything (forgot to take a picture). Parking was difficult but we happened upon a nearby. Atmosphere is clean, crisp and modern but for the most part pretty empty of customers at 8pm on a Saturday night.... Not a good sign and we shortly found out why. My modelo beer was fine but partners draft apple cider was flat as a door nail. After about 30 minutes our dinners arrived with apologies for taking so long as they were " short on staff"...how many times are we gonna have to hear this excuse? Partner ordered shredded pork nachos which when arrived were not even warm to the touch and had to ask the waiter to please just reheat in the microwave.....and he is extremely averse to ever sending anything back so this spoke volumes to me. That's pretty bad if you can't even get nachos right!. The cheese was hard. The beans were in a puddle underneath everything. The meat was cold. They just were not....Nachos! I got fish and chips which by definition mean what we Americans call French fries. Instead were some odd looking roundish balls of cooked potatoes almost too lewd to describe. The fish.... Imagine making a one by one inch stick of sliced fish and breading it with thick unappealing dough and over frying it. I guess a glorified fish stick is what they were aiming for. I tried my best to eat around the breading for the tough morsels of fish but wound up discarding most of my dinner. Overall a pitiful, painful and poor choice for dinner. read more

TLDR, up front: I'm willing to give them another shot because I think they were rather new when I had their food (I know what it's like to need to work out the kinks in a restaurant) & because the manager was really nice, but my experience was certainly less than favorable.... I ordered lunch for 3 for pickup, excited to try a new spot. Ordered the seared ahi tuna salad, French dip sammie with fries, beet veggie burger with a side salad, & a slice of carrot cake with a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Kind of pricy? Pretty sure before tip was $81. The ahi tuna smelled so strongly that you could smell it through the plastic container it'd been packed in - not a good sign. I couldn't eat it, leaving me with mostly greens. Worse, they forgot the dressing on the side. Ended up making a vinaigrette on the fly for it. Merp. :/ The French dip came without the side of au jus so was essentially an undressed beef sandwich. Apparently, it was ok, but that was after it was dressed with condiments from my house, another big bummer. On the plus side, the fries were super good. Crispy, fresh tasting, & didn't have truffle like I'd specified. The beet burger was honestly really creative & pretty tasty. So many places nowadays want to put an impossible or whatever (beyond? Is that the other one?) other engineered crap on their menu for pescatarians/vegetarians/vegans, & frankly, most of us don't want or like it. So I've got to give Eureka kudos for even putting a vegetarian burger on their menu! It fell apart - sorry, no, crumbled into pieces - & was impossible to eat with your hands, but was actually rather enjoyable even though eaten with a fork. It tasted fresh & had a good flavor & dark pink color to it like beets. Thumbs up to whomever's idea this was The carrot cake was def the highlight of the meal, it was delectable & would've been outstanding except the Asian ginger "dressing" I was missing from my ahi salad was in the box with the piece of cake, so we all thought it was the caramel dressing it was supposed to come with & dunked bites of cake into the sauce, which led to a rather foul bite. Kinda funny thinking back lol That said, the bites without the mismatched sauce were so good. It was nice to end the meal on a positive note. I did call the restaurant to report my experience & the manager that answered was really friendly & apologetic, saying how it wasn't up to her standards & that she'd make note of it so that if I wanted to come in, I could have credit to be taken care of next time, & that in & of itself was pretty remarkable; some restaurants just don't care anymore. Anyway. I've yet to go there in person so I can't speak to the establishment - cleanliness, ambiance, design, all that - nor do I know what kind of credit is waiting for me, but like I said, I'm willing to give it another shot because I'm pretty sure they were rather new at the time (this was early-mid May) & maybe (hopefully) they've figured out how to solve for some problems since then. read more

There's a new chain restaurant in Tempe that boasts an impressive menu and is a great addition to the area. However, my experience there today was a bit unusual, but that's understandable for a new eatery. I ordered the DA bone marrow burger with a side of broccoli and two local IPAs for my meal. Although the burger was decent, I regretted paying extra for the broccoli as it was only a small portion. While the burger itself was good, I think there are better options available on the menu for the price of $20. The burger's portion size is quite small, so I suggest exploring other options. (I didn't mention any ask on - if I wanted another drink or if I checked the meal's quality or dessert.) Toward the end of my meal, I raised a concern about the pricing but was offered a gift card. While I appreciate the gesture, I decided to decline the offer. In general, it's a good new addition to the area, and I'm sure other people will enjoy it. Maybe next time. read more

I never write reviews, and I need to be better as I use Yelp religiously, so keep that in mind as I take the time for this - we stumbled across Eureka! while visiting ASU and looking for a burger place for our high school senior, yet something vegetarian for my wife, and something with booze as I contemplated how much money I was going to part with over the next four years. Eureka! is pretty badass. The food is all made in house, the burger was great, perfectly cooked, the ahi poke nachos were an interesting take, but still good, house salad was great with a good house-made ranch, and the chicken sandwich was excellent - not dry at all. There are very few times where you have something that will create a craving, but the firecracker wings will do it. Cooked perfectly, but the sauce has a chipotle heat that you're gonna jones for. My concern, that I voiced to our knowledge and friendly sever, was that they were empty. She said they were relatively newly opened but get a lot of traffic after the games. So for those of us not local - please go, I need my wing fix the next time I'm in Tempe. read more

This place is in Tempe near the ASU Stadium. They have a great atmosphere and a nice indoor, outdoor concept. We sat at the bar, and the service was top notch. A little more on the classy side for the area, but highly recommended. The bartenders and servers are AWESOME. Very attentive and very respectful. They have some good craft beers on tap. And as far as the food goes, almost everything they have is made fresh and home made. We got the Mac n cheese balls as an appetizer, (to die for, i would come back for those alone), and we got the baha fish tacos and a double smash burger. OMG.
