I was seeking a proficiently knowledgeable practitioner with exceptionally high standards, quality products and services offered. I am savvy enough of a shopper/client/patient to look for a provider offering quality services that are NOT ridiculously overpriced or underpriced but then diluted. Until, in this area, the vast majority of local businesses (especially spa and nonsurgical cosmetic beauty services) tend to mark up their prices astronomically! All simply due to the zip code their businesses reside in. However, when I found the fabulous and highly acclaimed Aesthetic APRN, Alicia Bravo, Owner of Bravo Beauty, I was enthralled! I am beyond neurotic when it comes to throughly researching such a practitioner, especially when it comes to these types of services. Alicia came hugely recommended and had a roaringly flawless internet presence as well! It's exceptionally rare to find a business without any negative reviews; however, I did not come across even one bad review for her or her business, Bravo Beauty! I was even more impressed when I called to schedule an appointment and she honored her Groupon rate offer. I was a new customer and the offer had sold out (her offers regularly sell out quickly) online. I'm not one to typically purchase any type of cosmetic services at a discounted price, but in this instance I felt confident that it was entirely safe and would be a quality transaction. Her reviews spoke for themselves and there were a plethora of them to back up the fanfare! When I later met Alicia, I told her about her positive and polished reviews. She then explained to me that she's attempting to grow her business and that thousands of women see her offers online this way. It made entire sense to me. When I first arrived at the Off Center Salon and Spa to visit Bravo Beauty, I was thoroughly impressed with the modern decor, friendly staff, and overall cleanliness standards reminiscent of a hospital. Alicia as a practitioner is very knowledgeable, vivacious, and I immediately felt at ease speaking with her. She was very thorough, and I didn't feel rushed during my appointment at all. I felt that Alicia knew the science of injectables exceedingly well and I was quite impressed that she wasn't trying to sell or pressure me to purchase more services than I actually needed. I had only used Dysport in the past and told her that even though I'm in my early 30's, that I had been given way too much of it in the past. She then explained to me that Dysport often produces a, "softer," look in contrast to Botox. She then recommended that we use 20 units, instead of 40 units and that if I felt I needed more, to call her in 10-14 days. I was very happy with the outcome of my experience using Bravo Beauty as a nonsurgical cosmetic provider and I would HIGHLY recommend her services to a friend or family member! I give her 5 stars without even blinking and typically I can be quite critical, so know that if I believe her business and standards are this superb that it's truly a rarity!

My commitment is shown in my willingness to, year after year, drive down here from Boston [North Easton, Quincy, Downtown Boston, and/or Medford, depending on the year] to get my hair snip snapped. Now that i'm temporarily local again, the distance has diminished quite a bit, but - I digress. Don't get me wrong, i've tried other places, but it never comes out as good. Hey, maybe I suck at explaining how I want my hair cut. I can live with that. My fault or not - they do good work. A lot of other places cut it too short, or cut it so straight I look like Lloyd Christmas on a good day. (Dumb & Dumber reference.) I like to come out with just a shorter version of the crazy spiked whateverness I walked in with. I can always tell they did a good job when I come home from getting a haircut and my dad looks at me, pauses, and then tells me that I should "go get a haircut." I would recommend Kiki and/or Rihanna (no, not THAT one) but anyone they hire would be a good choice. I like going to the same person because I can just go in and sit there and i don't have to explain a thing. On another note, Contours has been doing my mom's hair for years, and she does the whole 6-hour experience (cut, color, ....other hair things) and she's always happy - and trust me, if she's not happy, she would be the first one to tell you. The people are super friendly, there is always fresh coffee and some sort of food (bagels, pastries, and/or mini sandwiches) to munch on when you get there / before you leave. Not the cheapest place in the world, but in the grand scheme of things, $41 for a guy's haircut every 9 weeks isn't a big deal.
