I'm writing this review specifically in regards to services provided at Bravo Beauty, which is located at the Off Center Salon & Spa in West Hartford, CT. I'm newly a WeHa dweller, and was searching for a locally accessible and experienced Aesthetic APRN or MD to get maintenance injectables (Botox or Dysport), and other similar services (peels, microdermabrasion, etc.). I was seeking a proficiently knowledgeable practitioner with exceptionally high standards, quality products and services offered. I am savvy enough of a shopper/client/patient to look for a provider offering quality services that are NOT ridiculously overpriced or underpriced but then diluted. Until, in this area, the vast majority of local businesses (especially spa and nonsurgical cosmetic beauty services) tend to mark up their prices astronomically! All simply due to the zip code their businesses reside in. However, when I found the fabulous and highly acclaimed Aesthetic APRN, Alicia Bravo, Owner of Bravo Beauty, I was enthralled! I am beyond neurotic when it comes to throughly researching such a practitioner, especially when it comes to these types of services. Alicia came hugely recommended and had a roaringly flawless internet presence as well! It's exceptionally rare to find a business without any negative reviews; however, I did not come across even one bad review for her or her business, Bravo Beauty! I was even more impressed when I called to schedule an appointment and she honored her Groupon rate offer. I was a new customer and the offer had sold out (her offers regularly sell out quickly) online. I'm not one to typically purchase any type of cosmetic services at a discounted price, but in this instance I felt confident that it was entirely safe and would be a quality transaction. Her reviews spoke for themselves and there were a plethora of them to back up the fanfare! When I later met Alicia, I told her about her positive and polished reviews. She then explained to me that she's attempting to grow her business and that thousands of women see her offers online this way. It made entire sense to me. When I first arrived at the Off Center Salon and Spa to visit Bravo Beauty, I was thoroughly impressed with the modern decor, friendly staff, and overall cleanliness standards reminiscent of a hospital. Alicia as a practitioner is very knowledgeable, vivacious, and I immediately felt at ease speaking with her. She was very thorough, and I didn't feel rushed during my appointment at all. I felt that Alicia knew the science of injectables exceedingly well and I was quite impressed that she wasn't trying to sell or pressure me to purchase more services than I actually needed. I had only used Dysport in the past and told her that even though I'm in my early 30's, that I had been given way too much of it in the past. She then explained to me that Dysport often produces a, "softer," look in contrast to Botox. She then recommended that we use 20 units, instead of 40 units and that if I felt I needed more, to call her in 10-14 days. I was very happy with the outcome of my experience using Bravo Beauty as a nonsurgical cosmetic provider and I would HIGHLY recommend her services to a friend or family member! I give her 5 stars without even blinking and typically I can be quite critical, so know that if I believe her business and standards are this superb that it's truly a rarity! read more

Went here to use a groupon i got for a shellac manicure, executive pedicure, and wax with Lani. She was great, super nice and did a fantastic job! I especially loved the executive pedicure which includes a hot stone massage. My only complaint was that the other staff in the salon were not very nice, especially the receptionist. Overall I can't speak for the other services, but I definitely recommend the nail service with Lani! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Renee and Off Center Skin Care. The facials are phenomenal. Renee takes the time to really assess your skin and tailor a treatment to your specific needs. She is very personable and really knows what she is talking about. I learned more about my skin with her than I have ever learned at any other facial. I had a great Groupon experience! The mani/pedi combo was the best. The salon is immaculately clean, bright. Very calming, soothing environment; a great place to go and unwind for an hour and half and let yourself be pampered. I've already booked a second appointment - which I have never done before with other Groupons .... This place doesn't even deserve one star. Horrible horrible service. I went here twice, I really gave it a chance. Started off both times with the horribly rude receptionist, who has no clue how to smile or be polite. She was so snobby she made me want to turn around and run before I even stepped foot in the door. The my services both times were with Lani, shellac pedi eyebrow wax and tinted, but the second time she skipped so many steps that she did before, I was completely rushed,and she got in an arguement with me about the color I wanted on my nails! Not only are they way to Overpriced, She added hidden fees and MADE me purchase some nail kit for $5 that in no way is worth a nail file, toe separters and a tiny foot scruber. Lastly I could Have did a better job painting my nails. Should have learned my lesson the first time. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst emeny. read more
