Experience where went well. Associates were warm and friendly. Inside had Halloween and fall decor. My wax specialist (Lillian?) was warm and caring. She gave me the results I wanted and informed me of ingrown hairs I had. She gave me tips on prepping my skin before waxing and tweezing. I have issues with irritation and hyperpigmentation. Update: got seen by a different girl. They said for a 5:30 appt. Got seen at 5:40. This girl must be new because she took twice as long and practically waxed my skin off. I've never had an experience like that. I've never been sore the next day after a wax but yet, here I am. Awful. I was stuck in traffic for a 5pm appointment. I called before 5 saying I was running late. They said if I didn't arrive by 5:09 I would be considered a no show. I arrived at 5:10. They told me I wasn't able to see the person I was comfortable with and did the job properly. After they rescheduled my appointment 3 times! And the last time they put me with some random waxed without my consent. I accepted a 5pm appointment in an attempt to get my service completed. Go elsewhere if you can. I had a 1:15 today 1/14/15 appointment today when I realized I was running behind I called no one answered the phone I called multiple times. I then texted the number that texted my phone to confirm no one responded. After multiple tries the young lady stated she she moved my appointment to 1:30 I told her okay she said I had 9 mins to get here. I pulled up at 1:38 and called as instructed per instructions due to covid checkin policy and she stated that it was 1:39 on her computer and I could not be seen. She then stated she would not go back and forth with me and HUNG UP on me. Then I came straight in and watched the women who was supposed to do my wax walk out the door. I really, REALLY wanted to like this place, you guys. I've had several friends who had satisfying experiences at EWC, but after approx. 5 visits, I have to say I'm not impressed. I'm a girl who loves a good Brazilian, but doesn't need all the bells and whistles that come with the higher price tags at other salons - which is why EWC sounded right up my alley. After my first experience, I was less than thrilled after getting home and noticing multiple stray hairs all up in my labia. While I appreciate that they at least waxed my front bare, THAT'S THE EASY AREA! I'd happily shave my mons on the daily, but I want you to get all up in my flaps - that's the tough spot! So, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and tried again. Same. Also, the waxer ignored my request to leave a tasteful triangle in the front. While I can appreciate that we all enjoy a different grooming style, I found my lady bits to be unrecognizable completely bare - I'm pretty sure it hadn't looked like that since like 2006. But alas, hair will grow back. The next time I made an appointment, I wrote a note about appreciating a THOROUGH job. While it was pleasant and friendly, I articulated my dissatisfaction with the prior experiences. To my pleasant surprise, the next time was great! Gabriella was AMAZEBALLS! Very detail-oriented. She was the only waxer I've had there that took out tweezers. I couldn't rave about her enough! I thought I had found "the one." Much to my dismay, when I went to make my next appointment with bae, I didn't see her name on the list of available waxers. I sent an email to EWC inquiring, but never got a response. I made an appointment anyway, AGAIN noting my preferences (including asking for Gabriella!) in my appointment notes. When I arrived I was told that my love, G, was no longer with the company. HEART. BROKEN. They gave me an appointment with another waxer, who they PROMISED was amazing and was even a trainer. Y'all. She also left all the stragglers in there, and seemed incredibly inconvenienced by my presence and barely said two words to me. I was unimpressed, at best. Please see below for my past review posted 10 months ago, I used to love this place. I just purchased a third package. I treat myself to the torture of having a wax done every month. Recently after they locked me in for a third package they have been slipping. My appointments have been booked for times my waxer doesn't work, I was notified when I arrived. They made it seem like she had called out. So I rescheduled for the next day. The next visit the key holder over slept or didn't show up, so the staff and customers were waiting outside. The FedEx man said "again" as he tried to make the delivery. After waiting about 30 minutes I left a note and a very unhappy voicemail. When they called to try to squeeze me in. They comped my service and I told them as long as Gina was there I would be there and that she was the reason I was so loyal to them. And the last straw was when they called two days before my wedding saying my waxer was no longer with the company. I did not have time in my schedule to reschedule with someone I did not know. I asked if they could refund my package since I hadn't made all of the payments already and they said no. I asked for a manager to call me the following week. And they did not. I have since written to the corporate office and am waiting for a response. They have about $350 of my hard earned dollars that I want back. At least a phone call as promised would be nice. ___________________________________ I am in love with the European wax center! I have been visiting them for about a year and a half and will not go anywhere else. I like the wax they use which you cannot find anywhere else. Sadly disappointed with European Waxing Center. I was told great things from a friend but I left disappointed. I have had some really great and some not so good Brazilians, and this place falls closer to one of the worst ones. I believe that you should be allowed to undress without the waxed in the room. I do not care that we are about to get real close, undressing in front of someone else is degrading. Yes, I could have asked but I shouldn't have to. Secondly, I was told that I would have to tweeze when I got home. However, she tweezed my underarms. If I am paying money to have all my hair removed it should be. Also, hair was left! I asked before I dressed (in front of her) and she said that she removed it all. WRONG!!! Upon my self tweeting I found more hair. Overall, do not go here. read more

I went in today to get in on the "first wax free" promotion that they do here. The salon was beautiful, very modern. One thing that was annoying though was the music that they played inside the treatment room. I was expecting the typical, soothing spa type of music. Calming waves, you know what I mean. The woman who did my eyebrows was very pleasant, but the wax itself was just ok. I look at eyebrow waxing as a sort of art, and either you have the vision, or you don't. This particular woman did not. It was fine, but honestly, I don't think I would ever pay $20 for the results that I experienced today ($16 plus tip)- for free, it was fine, for $20, not so much. I've been to this center twice - first for a leg wax, then for a Brazilian - and I have no complaints about either experience. The prices for the services I received were reasonable and there was no wait either time. I was in and out in no time. I love how clean the facilities are and was more than pleased with the condition of the restroom (in which they provide sanitary wipes for cleaning up). The staff I dealt with on each occasion was pleasant; The girl at the front desk was friendly and helpful and the waxers were knowledgeable and professional. I felt as comfortable as one can be with a stranger in their crotch. I'm a big fan of the hard wax they use, which is much easier on my incredibly sensitive skin than traditional wax and I purchased their ingrown hair serum which seems to be working quite well and smells more pleasant than most. All in all, a positive experience. read more

I am very disappointed with my experience. I got there 15 minutes early for my brows and lips to be waxed. I waited 10 minutes for someone to come out from the back to check me into my appointment. The front of the center was very clean, but it was a different story behind the glass door. When I was finally checked in, I was take back to a room that had not been cleaned since the last person who got waxed. There was black hair on the table and counter and a used paper sheet was still on the table. She did wipe it off and rolled out a new sheet but that should have been done before I got into the room. The technician was not a pleasant person. She was very aggressive when she pulled the wax off and didn't put any pressure on the spot she just waxed. When she was done waxing she didn't say anything. When I asked if she was finished all she said was "yes." Never once did she ask if I need anything cleaned up, waxed more, etc. Usually you are offered a small mirror to look at the technicians work but instead I had to walk over to the mirror to check out her work. Before I could really look at my face she was shooing me out to the front to pay. So when I got home, I looked in the mirror. My right eyebrow has more hair on it then my left (my husband even noticed) and there is so much peach fuzz still on my lip it doesn't look like I even got it wax. read more

This happens every time I try to make an appointment in Cranston so now I find myself going to north Attleboro instead. I have been coming regularly to European Wax Center for a full bikini wax for sometime now. Jennifer is my esthetician. She's super friendly and for my first wax she made sure to reassure me that nothing would be awkward about the experience, but it would hurt. She kept the conversation light and ongoing which was a nice distraction from what was actually happening. I will say that full bikinis do hurt (especially in the more sensitive areas) but only for the split second. After it was over, there was no residual pain but it was a bit tender. I would 100% recommend going to European Wax Center for your next wax. :) read more

I like this place because they specialize in waxing and I go here often because I like they wax they use and the environment. Unfortunately, they do not specialize in Waxing Specialists. It's very much a hit or miss, and today was a complete miss. A few months ago, I used to see Amanda for my brazilians. She was very kind and quick and she always got alllll of the hair (even the hidden ones) at my request. Mandy has since relocated so I made my next appointment blind, letting the store choose who would perform my wax. They gave me Regina, who is kind and friendly, and I didnt feel uncomfortable at all. However, Regina may need glasses or a head lamp because when I got home and really got in there to see her work, I saw how incomplete and bad my wax looked. I am of darker complexion with darker hair and when I look at my area, I understand how she might have missed some spots. But as a professional waxer, I firmly believe it is the job to NOT miss things like that. While Im sure she didnt mean ill, I can't praise Regina for her work because I feel like I didnt get what I paid for, which was "everything gone". Everything is not gone and I will be booking my appointments with only appraised technicians from now on. read more

She called to ask if she could come in the next day for a touch up or if they could give her a credit for her next appointment. I've been going here for almost 2 years. I got a new estetician who's been doing this for 3months. She obviously was not trained well because never have I ever experienced a rash like this. I got a brazilian and she couldn't get the wax off my me to the point where it continuously folded up and caused me sm pain. I'm a black woman with a didferent hair type and her training obviously did not cover all demographics. She waxed my skin in multiple different directions. Rachel was great! I was a little nervous because it was my first time getting waxed. Definitely not as bad as I thought, but it's a wax not a head rub. I was expecting some level of discomfort but she reminded me to breathe and it helped! I had a personal reason and had to make some changes to my original booking, but she was cool with it. I have my favorites and each person has their own style. It's important to find someone who will wax in a manner you prefer! So, walked in the place smelled like a hospital "sanitized" smell loved it! Prices are good! Everyone I interacted with was soo professional.
