Was excited to find a place with online appointments and I still had to wait about 25 minutes past my appointment. Also the woman that was working on me was rough and I texted my friends that she was going to make me bleed and 2 minutes later she took a chunk out of my pinky toe with the foot rasp. It's been a week and my toe still has not healed. I was not given any sort of discount for that so when I asked for one, the owner/manager seemed mad about it and gave me a lousy $10 off. I shouldn't have had to pay at all and I certainly shouldn't have had to ask for one. Poor customer service and rough technicians read more

My pedicure was great but she didn't put the toe spreader in well which caused it to smudge one of my toenails and she got annoyed with me for asking for it to be fixed. The dip nails that I received were pretty bad. The entire process was rushed and the person doing my nails didn't seem to put much effort in. The nails were really poorly shaped. The woman sitting next to me being served by a different person actually asked to stop halfway through and just pay for what had been done so far because her nails were being shaped so poorly. I have been going to this salon for a few months. I always go to Ken and he does a great job. I always make online appts. The last time I made an appt, they called me to see if I was on my way 15 min beforehand. They clearly had an opening wanting to fill. But today, I'm mad! I rearranged my schedule for my appt at 215 that I made A WEEK AGO!! they had the audacity to call me half an hour before my appt asking if I could come in an hour later! no! I ended up cancelling my appt because obviously he bit off more than he could chew and took people when I had a set appointment! I will never go here again. I Came here a couple times had a great experience today not so much. First off start was bad they tell me to sit at a seat for pedicure tell me to put foot in bath it was freezing water. An a lady told me to put my feet in I said no it's cold she smirked at me like she's better than me. Then no one came for another five mins I should have got up an left. Finally a guy came didn't even make the water warm I was freezing the whole time. After I got home noticed he did a half ass Job for 55 dollars that's ridiculous my feet are ruff and didn't really do anything to make me feel comfortable I'm pissed was freezing the whole time. I've been coming here for the last 3 months and really happy with all of my nail services. The salon is clean and comfortable with nice decor and calm atmosphere. At first I got gel and it was good, but I work with my nails a lot and it chilled after a week... however when I switched to dip, game changer! It has lasted over 3 weeks! No chips whatsoever and looks amazing minus my natural regrowth. Pricing is on par with other nail salons and all of the techs have been nice and talented. read more

If I could rate negative stars I would. I made an appointment online a couple days before my first time utilizing this salon. I wanted a gel manicure and gel pedicure. I arrived promptly 15 minutes before my scheduled time they took me to the back and started working on my toes. Then another woman comes over and starts taking the polish off my hands which I thought at first was very convenient so it to minimize the time I was in the salon Then two girls come in and they request the person that's doing my toes and then the woman leaves to go work on them. I was absolutely mortified and it only gets worse than the woman that I thought was only taking my polish off proceeds to do my nails while sitting in the pedicure chair so I'm leaning to the left-hand side uncomfortable and having to hold the bowl of water in my lap, getting shavings all over my dress from the nail polish being removed as well as the UV light having to be propped up on my lap. Another woman comes over and does my toes has no communication except for between each other keeps looking around walks away several times the woman doing my hands rushes the service. The nails are not all the way dry I get up to go to leave and I could tell that they knew I was not satisfied because they tried to offer me a gift card for the next service. I told the receptionist I was not happy that I didn't get to have the proper service by sitting down and having my hands done separately than my toes, she literally just stared at me. I left the gift card. I proceeded to walk out the door and inspected my nails to see that half the polished was missing off several fingers getting your nails done as luxury, and I worked very hard for my money so I went back in and politely asked for my hands to be redone. They all seem to converse between each other, but they attempted to redo the service. At least this time I got to sit at the table the nails were less than subpar, but I was going to leave to not make a scene as I had my young daughter with me as well. I tried to do the right thing and reach out to the email address that was listed on their website. I was not looking for an entire service for free, but I was looking to understand why I was treated differently as a first time customer and I saw a multiple women come in and out of the salon and get to do their pedicure separate than their hands. I emailed the manager and she did nothing to help me. She was extremely rude. Do not go here. It's not worth it. You'll leave unsatisfied and your money doesn't matter to them nor the customer service. absolutely disgusted. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have tried this place a few times and they've always been decent, nothing to write home about. They are never on time even with an appointment. And anytime I have requested a specific person, I end up with someone else. They are not very friendly in there either. I went in for an acrylic fill yesterday which took an hour and a half. The tech Kim drilled my nails so hard she cut my finger. She made multiple fingers bleed. She drilled all of my cuticles off! All of my fingers have been burning because of this. The acrylic is so thick and ugly. And my nails are way too long, even though I asked her 3 times to make them shorter. I asked for the chrome top coat and later learned it's an extra $15! My 4 year old daughter could have painted them better. I don't think this tech knew what she was doing. I will never go back and don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I need to start this review by saying I really wanted to like this place; close to my house, very nice and clean and what seemed like nice staff. I called earlier to make appointments for my sister and myself - they were scheduled for 5:15p. We arrived on time and we're told that one of us could get started but it would be a little wait for the second person because they were short staffed - understandable so we said ok. My pedicure was started on time and we figured it okay for her to wait a little bit since I was also getting a gel manicure. What should have been a few minutes turned into an hour plus wait for my sister. She sat in cold water and a tub that stopped working properly. I had to ask for them to refill her tub so she would at least have warm water - her pedicure started at about 6:30p Come to find out a walk in was accepted before our appointments. My gel manicure started at about 6:45p - we both started to feel rushed since the place closes at 7pm. The person doing my nails started doing a regular manicure at first and needed to wipe my nails clean and start over, once he started with the gel polish I tried to excuse myself multiple times saying I just needed to go because I could tell the quality of what I was receiving was going to be poor. Nail polish all over my skin, half my nails not colored - I made mention of it and again said I just needed to leave figuring at this point I will just go somewhere else another day. He put on another coat and then said "come back tomorrow and I'll redo them" clearly seeing how awful the application was as well. We went to pay and I made it clear that if it was so bad that I needed to come back I would not pay for that service. My sister was still charged full price despite waiting so long which I was unhappy with as well. Khony was very sweet as she was who we dealt with for our pedicures and when I went to tip her asked for the managers number before leaving which she gave. We were out the door when I realized I left my shoes so my sister went back into grab them. Walking back in she fell on the floor, not one person tried to help her or retrieve the shoes - she had to ask bluntly. When she fell the dried polish on her toes already chipped and she hurt her knee. I have been getting my nails done for 20+ years and I have never had an experience like this before. I really am never one to complain having worked in hospitality my whole life but this was unlike anything I have ever dealt with before. 5:15pm to 7:45pm for 2 pedicures and a gel manicure with appointments is crazy. A walk in should have had to wait not us. There were opportunities where this could have been avoided for all. I am understanding of the times and being short staffed and also understanding of problems that arise. If we had been made privy of the wait time or what happened we could have made the decision on our own to wait or not - really just so displeased with this experience and the fact that we both need to go back somewhere and have our nails done again. read more

I made an appointment for 1pm, and wasn't sat at a salon desk until 1:18pm. Nobody should wait twenty mins if they have a scheduled appointment. The tech, (Tina) didn't shape my nails. She applied the dip powder before shaping my nails or clipping away dead skin. Once the dip powder was dried, she then clipped away dead skin. But did not shape them. She didn't ask how I wanted them shaped. If I had gone elsewhere, I would have gotten the shape I wanted .... Because the tech would have asked. She also clipped me twice and I bled. She didn't say sorry or even stop. She just kept clipping away. I was bleeding from the cuts. No apology. She had taken those clippers out of her drawer. Typically, nail salons sterilize their tools in an autoclav. These nail clippers were taken out of her drawer, which is not sterile. After she used them on me, and CUT me with them and caused me to bleed... she put them right back in the drawer. Clearly these tools are not being sterilized before or after they are used. I was horrified. I could have gotten a blood born pathogen from dirty clippers cutting me and causing me to bleed. The service was also $15 more than I usually pay anywhere else for the same service. I was not happy and most likely will not return. read more

I just left garden city mail incredibly disappointed. An older male was removing my nail polish. After wrapping them in foil, he left to work on another lady getting a pedicure. Without washing his hands or changing the drill head he used on me, he began working on her feet. Once finished he came back to remove the remaining gel polish. Again - without changing the drill head or washing his hands. I asked kindly for a clean drill, and he obliged. Once he began drilling my nails, he cut me once on my right pinkie finger and again on my right index finger. I pulled my hand back, and asked him not to use the drill anymore because he cut 50% of the fingers he has now worked on. He huffed and puffed and told me I needed to wait for another tech because I'M TOO PICKY. As if somehow his inability to use a drill or clean products is my fault? He told me I would have had to wait 20 minutes for another tech. So I got up and left. I asked to speak to a manager, and she apologized and said she would fix my nails in 10 minutes. I appreciate her trying to make the situation right, but the damage had been done. I walked out of the salon with my gel polished half removed and two bloody fingers. I have been going to this salon for a year and a half. I really hope they don't let this employee work on people's nails again until he reviews sanitation procedures and learns how to use the drill. Decided to come for the first time, my pedicure was over the top just amazing, but when it came to do mine and my friends nails the guy who did it not only cut her but cut me also. He cut her multiple times! When he was doing my nails he cut them way too short and cut the nails on an angle so they look crooked as well as putting them on my nails crooked. If I could give this place no stars I would. My sister and I (who's review will be up soon) had appointments for 5:15pm. At first glance the salon was super clean, beautifully decorated and quite. When the lady Came to bring us over to the pedicure station she said how they were short staffed (4 people staffed) and how she would start my sister's pedicure first because she was getting a mani and pedi and I was only getting a pedi. Little did I know I was gonna be sitting there for over an hour in a broken foot soaker that kept making horrific noises since the plastic wrap kept getting stuck in the jet, I literally had to hold the wrap back with my feet to stop it from sounding like it was going to explode. Then the woman doing my sister's nails just turned off the machine as a whole and I sat in cold water for probably 30 minutes. The man who was supposed to do my toes (thank god he didn't) took forever to take me because he decided to take an acrylic nail WALK IN which took forever so the woman doing my sister's nails had to do my pedi and he did her gel manicure. As I was drying my toes my sister came over absolutely pissed because the man did her nails TERRIBLY. Blue paint everywhere. When we finally paid which we shouldn't have, we left when my sister forgot her shoes. I went back in and slipped on the wet floor and hurt my ankle and knee and everyone just sat there and started at me until I yelled and asked someone to get the shoes. My toe polish chipped when I fell and I still had to pay full price and tip for awful service plus having to wait for over an hour.
