Always a pleasure to come here. The ladies who do nails here are wonderful. Very helpful, creative and attentive. They take their time and make sure to do a great job. I have been here several times and the experience has always been positive. Usually gets busy so try and schedule an appointment if you can. They are also very clean which is extremely important for me to even consider to visit. However, they do accept walk ins but try to come as early as possible. They do take card and offer a limited number of parking spaces. Prices are also reasonable. If you are in the area, give them a try. read more

This review is for the 30 minute Hot Oil Massage with Carmen. Note: The entire 30 minutes is NOT with hot oil, that comes at the end after your knots are all out and feeling quite relaxed and limber. Perfect pressure used, seemed to sense when you tighten (or relax) under certain areas/due to any knots in your back. At the end was stretching of the arms, as well as slight stretching of fingers to realign them. Carmen knows what she's doing, and she's personable and very nice, too! Only thing I wished, was that the room was a bit warmer, since times it felt a little drafty. After moving to the neighborhood of the salon I excitedly decided to try them out as I was so close to them. I went there for a full leg waxing and the quality of the work was worse then if I had poorly shaved my own legs. There were still ingrown hairs you could still see the root of every hair on my leg so it looked as if I haven't even shaved my legs at all. Meanwhile, my mother was there insisting that SOMEHOW my legs look less hairy but it barely made a difference. I ended up having to go back home and shave. So, that was a supreme waste of money. Getting legs waxed here never again. They tried to use a tiny strip to wax both my legs. After doing a bit the work try to continue with tiny strip. She says it does take any more hair off. I've come to this salon on and off for years. Every time I have a good experience and go back, I'm swiftly reminded of why i don't go. So my first criticism would be the work is very inconsistent. The woman who did my nails amazing last time did a botch job yesterday. This is long but bear with me so you know what to expect when going there. I got a regular pedicure and gel manicure. She was very rough. Pushing and pulling my legs and hands in the directions she needed. Which I understand sometimes, but really it was the whole time. The pedicure seemed unsanitary so I'm hoping for the best (no plastic cover in tub, and the tools she used she picked up from the trolley beside her so I can confirm if they were sanitized between uses.) The pedicure is mostly fine, my real problem is my hands. I get gel manicures done every two weeks for years. She filed my nails so thin to get the gel off (instead of being patient for the acetone to work) that even after 5 coats of gel, my nails are able to bend. I have never had someone bake my hands for almost 4 minutes straight to cure. And this was each hand, each coat. She kept turning the machine on when the timer went off. I asked for round shape (which my nails already were) and she proceeded to file them into some sort of...almond shape? None of the nails matched and the filing job was uneven and horrible. She filed the sides on such a slope that they are too thin for the width of my finger 3 hands. On the rest one side is clearly shorter and crooked compared to the other. When I left i immediately bought a file to try to fix it. What I came up with I suppose is decent, but this is why I pay for professionals to do my nails in the first place. The last and final straw was the amount of times she cut me. My cuticles can be excessive, so she paid a lot of attention to that, but i have 4 pretty big cuts. She didn't apologize once or seem to care. She put the special oil on one finger only. I work in a job that puts me in contact with a lot of germs and chemicals and cuts on my fingers are going to affect me for weeks. I Also - I may not look it....but I'm Latina. I understand and speak Spanish fluently. Maybe the workers should be mindful of that while they're speaking to each other while working on a client. If you have such an issue with the Asian woman who looks like she's probably the hair dresser, maybe talk to her directly instead of being mean amongst yourselves like children. read more

I had made an appointment here because The salon I thought I originally had an appointment unfortunately I did not due to a confusion in location. I ended up at the salon and all I can say is from the minute I walked in until the moment that I had to go back and actually fix the mess that they made of my nails was literally the worst experience. I am from the neighborhood and we do have good salons in the area however I was looking for a place that can specialize in a more advanced design skill set. Their pedicures are completely unsanitary from the minute I sat down I literally wanted to get up but of course I was in between a rock and a hard place and I gave you the benefit of the doubt. They do not use liners in the tub where you soak your feet. Which I honestly hadn't been to a salon that didn't do that before every customer in many many years. I assume that during these times that would be something that everyone would be doing at this point to ensure a sanitary experience. I had a cut on my toe for about a week and a half so I couldn't get a pedicure at my last salon. So I desperately needed one this time around the person doing my toes emphasized that it looks like I haven't gotten a pedicure in a very long time Lol! Of course I laughed it off and I explained why it looked like that but I just feel that if you don't know the persons reasoning for not doing their nails or their toes it shouldn't be a conversation it's actually unprofessional and inconsiderate to the client. She also pointed out the bruises that I had on my foot. It was time for me to do my acrylic nails which is what I had asked for on the phone before I even walked into the location. I wanted to make sure there was somebody that was going to be able to fulfill that. Apparently the person that was doing my toes couldn't do my nails so I'm assuming it was the owner or the person that does the facials was basically sitting there while I was getting my toes done putting all of these crazy size nails on my nail buds that didn't quite fit. She then started cutting them to my liking but didn't even ensure they were all even. She then takes me to her chair so basically the person doing my pedicure was not the same person doing my nails. I sit in her chair and she starts vigorously dipping my nails in powder so I'm assuming at this point she's doing powder acrylic not really sure. Then at that point has a facial waiting that's actually been waiting for over 45 minutes for her. She has another lady screaming at her that she told to come back in 10 minutes and didn't for fill her promise to take her in 10 minutes. So she shoves me off to somebody else who apparently is going to do a design. I remember her name design girl was Rosa. Rosa had not a clue how to achieve the design that I showed her. Let me also mentioned that they shoved off my friend that was also with me to Rosa so apparently Rosa is the only one in this establishment that knows how to do any kind of design but couldn't for fill any of these designs. Long story short I ended up just doing French. It's time to ring us up and after this horrifying experience of a pedicure and manicure, she rings me up and my total is $100. Now don't get me wrong when I think of $100 for a pleasurable experience and beautiful nails and a very relaxing pedicure it doesn't sound so bad. However after this nightmare $100 was very frustrating to give to this establishment. My friends total was $80 and she only got a pedicure and a gel manicure. Let me also mention that they file your toes during your pedicure with those little teeny tiny square nail filer's that you would use for a toddler's nail. And they also apparently ring out a rag in a sink that is supposed to be I guess a hot rag for the legs.?? Not really sure. We obviously left the salon furious put the cherry on top what is when my gel manicure peeled off of my nails literally two days later. I called to provide feedback and make a formal complaint the person invited me back in to redo the nails and to be honest I had another event to go to and I really could not go to this event with my nails looking this way. So I said OK and I gave it a second try. My nails are not even two days old and here we are again the polish is chipped bumpy and peeling off. I do not recommend this place to anyone I can't even say if it's cheap you're basically getting when you pay for because they are far far from cheap. They are very pricey they are not very nice and honestly not sanitary at all. I have been to this place is very long time ago and they used to do some amazing pedicures I'm not really sure what happened from what I hear they are under new ownership and it's honestly horrendous. So if you really don't have a place to go because you're in a situation like me go and buy some nail polish and do it yourself because this place is a waste of time and energy. read more

The only benefit to this nail salon is that they are able to accommodate people. The woman who did my nails although very nice did not do a good job on my powder gel manicure. My nails and the powder have repeatedly broken after not even a full two weeks. I have done powder gel for years and never had my nails break within 2-3 days of getting them done. read more

This is a long due review . I have been coming here for 10 years. This salon is now under new management and the new management is by far the nicest I've encountered . The new owners are polite and make you feel welcomed. All employees are good however my favorite are Carmen and Rosa. They always cut my cuticles without hurting me and do a great polish . They take their time and don't rush even when they see there are people waiting . I would recommend making an appointment and trying to get there on time . As customers we should be understanding that the same way they set time for you we should respect it and make it in time . If we are late we can't expect them to always take us especially if you haven't even called them to give a fair warning of being a few minutes late . I believe this place does great quality work and are very affordable and reasonable in price . There has been times where there has been a language barrier when calling in for an appointment however i would always recommend to all twice to confirm your appointment was taken and verified. Worst acrylics I've ever gotten in my life. My friend and i went in there to get a simple set of acrylic nails. We were in the salon for at least 3 hours even though there was barely any other customers in the salon. Both my nails and my friends were done very sloppy and uneven. The nails were all different sizes and the acrylic was bumpy. The woman doing our nails didn't even check to make sure each nail was the same length. The polish job was even worse! It was a clumpy bubbly mess! As if that's not bad enough, I was cut on my pinky due to too much filing. To add icing to the cake, just a few hours later one of the acrylic nails broke right off. The following day, another two fell off which has never happened to me so easily and right after getting them done. After they broke off, I noticed that there was a gap in between the acrylic nail and my actual nail which means they weren't placed properly and with space in the nail, you're risking getting a fungal infection if water or air gets in there. read more
