I get my brows done once a year, and I'll never go to this location again. Both the waxer and the receptionist pushed sales harder than the service. I had to decline the same product 3 times as they kept offering it. I think it is important to evaluate the customer at hand before offering a product. The receptionist acknowledged that I only come once a year, but still pushed (not offered pushed) the buy 3 get 1 free package. Why would I spent $75 to get my brows waxed for the next 4 years? Ultimately, I paid for the service but opted not to tip. I did not have a good experience with the service side. After I declined gratuity, the receptionist demeanor completely changed. They didn't say goodbye as I left, or wish me a good day, as they did every other customer I watched leave. read more

I've never left a yelp review.. I've been getting Brazilian waxes for a few years, I'm not consistent with who I get them from anymore or with when I get them. I've gone to this location quite a few times and it's always been fine, as fine as a wax could be I guess nothing spectacular. It was my first leg wax so maybe this is just how they feel but my legs are on fire i do use European Wax products weekly but I guess they didn't help this time? I have wax on my legs (on vag..) still, which I feel like happens on accident sometimes but this is bad practice with how much is on me.. in my option. This place is great! All the gals here are super friendly and helpful, ready to explain all about their four-step waxing process and answer all of your questions. I don't know about you, but I love being walked through what is being done. I know a lot of beauty salons just assume that you have done this your whole life and know what to do, when, and what to expect. That isn't the case here. Brandy did a fantastic job on my super squirrelly brows, not only measuring where the brows should be in accordance with my face structure, but explaining how to help achieve the brow shape I want. They were long overdue and Brandy did a great makeover on them. I like having eyebrows on the thicker side and I always have this secret fear that they will be waxed too thin when I go to a new place. But she kept the general style of my eyebrows and went over what I was looking for in brows before beginning. They turned out perfect. I ended up snagging some of the brow gel she used after realizing that there was an easy fix for my rogue brow hairs that end up going all the directions sometimes by the end of the day. Like hairspray for my eye brows, I'm in! I also find the set up of the place, with its super private rooms brick corridors and professional tables with paper covers (just like at the doctor's office) that are changed after each guest, very soothing. So I will preface this review with I have been coming here for 2 years and this is my first really bad experience. Normally this would not warrant a negative review but my experience was so bad I wish to save others from the same fate. My waxer was a very sweet lady name Sandra and I really wish I could give it a 5 star review because of how friendly she was, however the wax experience was the worst one I've received in my life. Normally when you get a Brazilian, you can expect some pain. However, when your wax specialist SLOWLY pulls off each strip as opposed to quickly ripping it off like a bandaid - it's basically unbearable. I was so close to getting up and leaving in the middle of the wax but I wanted to save us both the embarrassment. If this had been my first experience getting a Brazilian, I would never get one again. read more

I had been going to the Tempe Marketplace wax center, but sadly, my tech transferred to a far location. Luckily, this new European Wax Center opened up recently, so I decided to give them a try! Making an appointment was very easy over the phone, and the front desk was very friendly. My tech was Erin, and she was very thorough, attentive, and was pleasant to talk to. They offer package deals, and allow you to pay the amount over a series of months. The convenient location in the Whole Food shopping plaza also makes it ideal. I came here for my first ever under arm wax.... I was nervous yes, but my waxer told me I had nothing to worry about because there are more painful parts ( use your imagination). She was able to educate me on the benefits of waxing your underarms and what are things to expect from waxing them. Everything she said made sense and being the person I am I did some research after and she was right in point. The girls up front were super friendly and told me about their different packages they offer ( some are unlimited) it seems like a huge savings. They also have different products you can use for every different situation. I am considering signing up for the underarm package I feel it would be perfect for the summer. I went 4 days ago and still no growth! The waxer did tell me since it's my first time I will most likely see growth sooner, but so far nothing and I'm happy. read more

My favorite center to go for waxing! The girls at the front reception desk are always friendly and accommodating for any scheduling changes. My waxer, Ari, is always professional and making sure I'm comfortable. Plus their rooms and restroom are always so clean and spotless. Recently I've also started using more of their products. Ari suggested The Reveal Me exfoliating gel and the Smooth Me ingrown hair serum. They are now part of my regimen and have saved my skin (legs, underarms, Brazilian) from further scarring of ingrowns I was battling with for years. They changed the ingredients over the last year and I have been having an allergic reaction to this new disgusting and cheap material they use. And they won't even cancel my passes without taking 25 dollars off of each one! This location is always quick and clean! I usually call ahead or go online to schedule an appointment because they are so busy. I get my eyebrows waxed and don't see a particular waxer. I've probably had 4 or 5 different people wax my eyebrows there and they've all been great! They're great about walking you through the steps and cleaning your skin before hand. They use a wax that hardens and then they peel it off. It's quick and if you're use to waxing then it's no pain at all! They also use a cooling gel to reduce redness. I have always had a good experience here! My only complaint is that it's a little pricey. After tip, an eyebrow wax can be $24. But for a clean and knowledgeable place, it's worth it! read more

I used to really love going here and even bought the yearly pass because my regular girl Tatum was so awesome and I always had a great experience but she is no longer with the company and the new girl they set my appointment with (I didn't even get her name ) was really not as friendly, even though I tip generously, I really wish I could cancel my membership and or find another person that's friendlier. Honestly, the people here were really helpful. All of the staff were really friendly and wanted me and my other two friends to have the best care and package. I got the Brazilian and it was my first time here so I knew what to expect but I was really happy with the results. The aesthetician was really friendly and she engaged in a lot of conversation to make me feel comfortable with the whole thing. The reception woman and you're not convincing me of my friend to get a buy three get one free package where you pay up front for 3 other waxes but they were cheaper! What I did like the most was I normally don't buy packages like that upfront but the reception lady wasn't pushy with her methods she let us think about if we wanted it or not and it made me feel more comfortable with spending that much money ($130 for the upfront waxes!) All in all I would recommend this place to a friend, and I'll definitely be coming here more often! read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS PLACE! I've been coming to this location for about a year now and I've always been very happy with how they do my brows here. Making the appointment is always a breeze. They have an option where you can go online and see when your favorite technician is available and you can book an appointment with them. They also will usually call the day before to remind you of your appointment and canceling can also be done online. In my experience, European Wax Centers are always very clean. They have disposable paper lining the chairs like you would see in a doctors office. The technician I usually go to is Erin and she is amazing! However I have also had very positive experiences with my walk-ins as well. The price for my brows is $18 before tip. I would say this is the average price if you were to go to a location of similar quality. You can get your brows done at nail salons for about $8 but I would rather spend the extra $10 for the comfort of knowing I will be 100% happy with my brows. read more

I received a voucher from ValPak in the mail offering a free wax or an upgrade to a Brazilian for $23.50 at their new location. The deal was so good that I had to try them! I am so glad I did. When I arrived I checked in at the front desk and was taken back to the room exactly on time which was great. My technician's name was MJ and she was extremely professional and meticulous. She explained their product and procedures which is something I always appreciate and kept checking with me for application pressure and pain to make sure I was comfortable. She took care of everything including cleaning and prepping the wax area which was different from my last place as I had to clean and prep myself with solution and cotton that I was given by my tech at Vivid Life Spa. I tried sugaring about 4 weeks ago and completely hated it now that I can compare it with this new experience. The application of the sugar was way too uncomfortable (lots of tugging on the hair) compared to the application and wax used here. The thing that surprised me the most is how little pain I experienced this time. It was my second time waxing so I'm sure that has to do with it as well but this was just so much better in regards to how little tugging my skin received. There were parts where I was ready for the pain and felt almost nothing. Last time I had a Brazilian I was disappointed with the results because I had a lot of stubble and several long hairs left (see my review for Vivid Life Spa) but this time I was completely smooth all the way around. I will definitely be purchasing a wax package here (about $400) and the best part is that they will give you payment arrangements (3 months) for it! How much better can it get? This was a very pleasant experience and the cleanliness, quality of work and professionalism is very much appreciated. I have found my new wax place. read more

I was on a recent trip to Phoenix Arizona and wanted to find a reputable place to get my legs waxed. I called my sister in NYC who works at a reuptable Manhatten Salon and knows people all over. She came back with this place. I knew I wanted to have a more pleasant experience than the nail salon ones I had prior, where the cost is less but the waxing is not good or neccessaily sanitary. For starters European Wax Center uses their own patented wax, it is a dark color and requires no wax strips to pull it off after it's on. It is all self contained, meaning they apply it and it takes a minute to harden, then they peel it off. It is just the wax meeting your unwanted hair, oh and an expert waxer. There is less waste with this method and so far what seems to be a cleaner wax. The rooms are well lit and sanitary. If you go know that hey will only hold your appointment for 7 minutes after the scheduled time. After that you will have to reschedule. I got a same day appointment fairly easy the day before Mother's Day, so maybe people were busy with those preparations? I got a very skilled woman named Brandy at the Tempe location near near Baseline. She had a good attitude, very professinal and friendly. She gave me a pretty good wax, there are only a few stray hairs that I'll tweeze away due to breakage and not missed patches (it happens). What I did not get was damaged skin, red blotches, burnt skin, or having to shave a whole patch of unwaxed area afterward. I may have found the perfect place, but we shall see in this grow out period. It's only been 5 days since my wax, so I'm giving 4 stars for now. read more

Time to start the tedious process of growing out my eyebrows....never again will I get them waxed at a nail salon! They make them sooo thin as well as hurt a lot and pull a little skin off in the process! The actual waxing salon facilities that specialize in just waxing anything are amazing! The waxing process Barely hurt and they use hard wax that only sticks to the hair not the skin! I'm impressed...definitely try it out its definitely worth the little extra $5-$10 you will spend.
