After calling and arranging to bring my car for corrective service, then having to wait for someone to arrive after an hour and a half, we were sent away and told they could not diagnose the car or even look at it at all to come back in a week. Now we had the car in for service on 7/23, we (2 woman) waited this morning for over an hour and sent away in a car that was not working right. Also there were other people waiting that left because no one was there to answer questions or even telephone calls. We drove over an hour and a half to get there so we waisted over 3 hours this morning for morning! There are no redeeming qualities to the service provided by Eurotech-Ltd. I will never trust them to do anything on my car and i would tell anyone looking to get service here to please not waste your time! Go elsewhere! We found another mechanic that told us Eurotech did not put parts back on our car that are essential to the car working properly. He called Eurotech to ask if they still had the parts and he was told he could have the job! No value whatsoever! No accountability whatsoever! Unacceptable! read more

We were in a jam because we had to drive 8 hours back to Vegas and our brakes were making a weird sound. We took our Navigator to Euro tech and the owner (I believe his name is Dave) was extremely helpful and knew right away what needed to be done. He got the parts and had our car fixed the very next day. He also went out of his way to give us a ride home for the night because they had to keep our car. After dropping my car off and asking Twice what the cost would be for diagnosis I was told both times it was 65.00. And that price I agreed on. Then 3 days later they called to say it was the CO2 sensor and would cost 350.00! For a 60.00 part that screws in and has one wire to be installed. I asked WHY so much. Then I was informed 130.00 was for diagnosis!?!? Double the amount I was promised on drop off. I argued with Kaylee the one who told me this twice. She gave me some lame excuse. BUT that's not what I was quoted and WHY so much to Install it half hour is what Book says. But they ONLY DO hour increments!! So I drove across the street and let Tanager auto do it for 86.00 part and install! NEVER to return again. I should have remembered how bad my last experience was with my Porsche. RIPPED OFF. My Porsche Boxster S made it all of the way from the Bay Area to South Lake Tahoe without any problem. However, as soon as we got within a mile of our hotel, the light on the coolant gauge started to blink and the water temperature started to climb. The next day, we started out on a drive and after a few miles the coolant temperature went all the way to maximum on the gauge. While I was dealing with AAA to get a flatbed, my partner looked up Eurotech on her phone, which seemed to one of the few German car specialists in the Tahoe Area. It turns out they were a good choice. They diagnosed the problem and replaced the water pump and thermostat. Two days later and $1,100+ poorer, we were back on the road. If I had been in the Bay Area, I'm sure I could have gotten the work done at a better price. But, under the circumstances, paying the "Tahoe Premium" was well worth it to have the job done quickly and correctly. I'd use them again under the same circumstances. read more

Had one cylinder misfiring for our Mercedes C300 (w205 2.4L turbo engine) while on vacation in Lake Tahoe. Eurotech was able to fix it in 24 hours by replacing the spark plugs and the ignition coils. Car has been running great since. read more

Recently moved to Truckee full time. And realized I left my trusted mechanic in the Bay Area! Nooo! With a Range Rover Sport, you need someone who knows what they are doing. They can be finicky little buggers. I just needed just a simple minor service/oil change and EuroTech was referred to me. They were able to get me in the next day and because I was driving over from Truckee, they got me in first and done quickly! She heard I was having issues and went above and beyond to both help get my car to the shop (after hours), me to my destination, and then troubleshoot my options. This included: explaining part cost and options, giving me AAA tips to tow my car (cheaply), and allowing the car to stay in the lot for multiple days. After hearing about this place from Coop at Chevron I stopped down to have them check out a weird noise coming from my Audi. This was the 3rd shop to listen and know one could tell me what the problem was... While still on lunch Steve came over and gave it a listen. He immediately knew what it was. We spoke in detail about my Audi and Steve knew waaay more than I did. Then Dave showed up. He was awesome! We arrived in Tahoe earlier this week to find our coolant light on in my BMW 325xi. Moments later our engine started to overheat. After driving a short distance to the house, we (ok, my husband) realized that the coolant was leaking. First thing Monday, we called Eurotech and they said to come on by. Apparently it is fairly common for the coolant reservoirs to crack in the cold weather, which it turns out is what had happened. He had one on hand and we had our car back the next day. On a Saturday, had a Water Pump blow, in my 86 Audi 4000CS Quattro, going up the Mt. Rose Highway grade. I was only a couple miles up the grade, and about 2.5 miles away from Eurotech. On Monday, they were able to promptly schedule the service and order German OEM parts for a Tuesday completion. I drove the car downhill to the shop, without overheating. They completed the service as estimated. I received the car back on Tuesday evening. The service was wonderful and the prices were very honest and reasonable. Last weekend it was total snow storm up in Tahoe, was up in Incline Village with my family...Came up on Saturday in a major storm over the pass, my wife was worried, I told her not to worry, I have a bad ass car, the 2004 Audi A4 1.8 Liter Turbo AWD, made it!!!; However, on Sunday, told my wife I was going skiing at Squaw Valley, it was storming, she said what are you doing!!!, I said I am fine, I have the bad ass A4!!!, by 4:00 pm after storming all day, made it back to Incline, over some icy roads, then I got up on to HWY89; OK, then turned off on Gail into two feet of snow!! I said, I now what to do!!, downshifted into second, and punch it up the hill like a tank, turned onto Jill, made it around the roundabout and parked in the driveway, as my car slid into place, I saw steam coming up from my hood, a hissing shound...and coolent on the snow under my car...Shit!! That night looking up german car service in Incline Village, EuroTech!!! Called AAA in morning, put the car on the flat bed truck, took it down to meet Kailee at the front desk and Steve the owner...turned out I broke the termostate...Steve and his team had my car fixed the next day...awsome!!! I also have a VW Passat, and this is the second time I have taken my car to Eurotech. I live in both the Bay Area and Incline Village, and this is the ONLY place I will now go to, to have my VW Passat Serviced. The first time I brought my car in, a couple of years ago, I was frustrated as I was having a reoccurring problem with my coil-pack which was replaced twice already (by another mechanic). When I took it into Eurotech, they found the problem immediately, showed me why it was failing...(the previous mechanic used to much and the wrong kinda of grease + used an inferior part) ... and fixed it. The cost to replace it with the correct part, cost me no more than it did previously with an inferior aftermarket part. I have not had a problem with it since! Recently my car broke down and I had to have it towed from quite a distance (Cisco Grove). I had to leave back to the Bay Area fairly quickly and did not have the time to take care of it at that moment, however, I really really need my car fixed. I spoke with Steve and was able to mail my key to him. He picked up my car for me and squeezed me into his schedule. The repairs / replacements were for a timing belt, water pump, sensor, a service + he was able to work on my air-conditioning which had not been working for quite awhile. I could not believe how reasonable the price was, especially considering that he picked up my car for me, and the amount of work that was done and got it finished ahead of schedule! His prices are fair and reasonable. He is honest and takes the time to discuss the problems, how they are fixed, and how to maintain the vehicle. This place is amazing! My range rover broke down while we were staying in Lake Tahoe. I was gonna have it towed to dealer in Reno but fortunately I ran into a guy that had a vehicle like mine at a gas station and he referred me to Steve Holmes owner of euro tech. I towed my vehicle there and the staff and owner were very accommodating and helpful. They had my vehicle fixed with in 3 days and it was as good as new. After having a terrible and expensive experience with the Porsche Dealer in Reno, my neighbor in Incline Village recommended I take my Porsche 911 Cabriolet to Steve and his Team at Euro Tech. Our Range Rover blew a heater core in Tahoe City on the way to Death Valley. After a couple phone calls to local mechanics we were directed to these guys as the best mechanics for European cars in the area. They quickly understood the problem and that we were on vacation and devised a work around that would get us on the road quickly. By the time we finished lunch, they were test driving the car and even pointed out a light bulb that needed replacing. We went from our trip is off to back on the road in less than 3 hours.
