Fun diner type vibe restaurant in the Mount Dora area. We popped in here on our way to an antique…read moremarket nearby. There is plenty of parking in a lot out front and the space inside is more plentiful than it appears from the outside. We were greeted and told to pick a seat ourselves wherever suited us. After sitting we were offered menus (pictured) with breakfast, lunch and (surprisingly) Mexican Fiesta offerings. There is also a weekly specials chalkboard so check that out. I opted for the hot stacks with a side of the ham. Everything came out as ordered and was very tasty. The hot cakes are HUGE! The only downers were that my husband's hot cakes were slightly overcooked towards the burnt side. He didn't end up eating much of them, but we had plenty of other food so he was full from other items. The inside has an eclectic Americana vibe to it with knick knacks and miscellaneous items throughout. Overall: A- One slight hiccup on some hot cakes, the rest was super solid and worth a repeat visit.

People say all sorts of things on the internet, all too many times either false or blown out of proportion.i took a critical but wary eye at the posts. Then the resturant owner's wife posted, identified herself, and stated the issue had been corrected. Well, now it's confirmed by the owner's wife to be true! The next day though, there was a big orange notice on the door of the shut down by the Health Department notice. This morning, posted on that social media site on restaurant letterhead is an apology from the owner and acknowledgement of the issue. It's unfortunate for sure,I just can't see my way back to ever returning there.

She ordered the smoked salmon and bagel, and I had the fiesta rancheros. Both dishes were out of this world delicious. The home fries deserve a special shout-out: hands down the best I've ever had. Our waitress, Jessica, was phenomenal--super attentive, friendly, and efficient. She was wonderful with us and I noticed her engaging warmly with the other tables too. The whole atmosphere felt friendly and genuinely jovial. We finished with the peach cobbler served warm in a skillet with vanilla ice cream, and it was exceptional. Not overly sweet, perfectly balanced, and more of a crumbled consistency rather than a traditional crust--which made it even better. Absolutely perfect brunch experience. We'll definitely be back!

They have both heaters and fans outside so it's comfortable with any weather. The staff was overall friendly. We went two different mornings as we were traveling and had a night and day experience with our waitresses. Jessica M is AMAZING and a ball of sunshine. She is very kind and attentive. The other waitress did not seem like she even wanted to be there with very little communication... however, don't let one bad apple spoil the bunch. Their homemade onion and peach pepper sauce is SOO GOOD, and not spicy at all! Definitely bought some for home. Goes great with the breakfast potatoes. Highly recommend this quaint restaurant!

The restaurant was not too busy when we got there. Our friends were already seated and waiting for us. There had ordered water for the table and had their coffees. Joshua appeared shortly after we exchanged pleasantries with our group. He checked in and we ordered coffee as well. He returned with the coffee and took all our orders. Two of our friends frequent the cafe weekly so he already knew what they wanted. The rest of us were able to order. We received our food in a reasonable time. Joshua and Kim checked in periodically to make sure we didn't need anything and kept the coffee flowing. I had the Pot Roast Omelette with Home Fries and a Biscuit. It was ok. Everyone else enjoyed their food. I would recommend the cafe adding fresh fruits to the menu. By the time we got ready to leave, there was a line of people waiting to be seated. We had to sidled out the door. The cafe is quaint and popular with the locals of Mount Dora. I am open to returning and trying something else on the menu.
