The reviews don't lie- EV Charging Solutions truly deliver the best service & pricing. I recently purchased a new Tesla; my first EV. As such, I needed a home charger installed into my home. Of course I hopped on Yelp to find a qualified installer to get this done for me. I own a new construction home that had some conduit ran for EV Charging, but I was still very hesitant about having work done on my house. The idea of any type of construction made me uneasy. Upon reaching out to EV Charging Solutions, Ed was quickly responsive and made me feel at ease. He asked me a few questions and gave me a straightforward quote. I informed him I'd be travelling and would reach out when I'm back. Sure enough, he was just as responsive when I was ready to pull the trigger. He showed up to the installation appointment on time. He has a very cool work truck that is wrapped in the company logo. He was also very clean and presentable. Additionally, he was very nice, personable and gave us his opinions and suggestions on the installation. The work performed was phenomenal. I didn't notice any damage or alteration done to my house. This was the biggest aspect that I was nervous about. The charger has been working perfectly since; I waited a while before writing this review. Honestly, Ed and this company is who you should hire for this type of service. Every aspect of my interaction was pleasant and up to my (high) standards. Eduardo did an excellent job answering my questions with patience and detail, while also providing a competitive quote. On the day of the installation, he was friendly and quick to get started. The workmanship of the install itself was amazing, exactly what I wanted. Once finished, we had some trouble setting up the Chargepoint Home Flex due to a weak wifi signal. Where some installers would have said that was my problem and went on their way, he helped me troubleshoot and patiently waited as we tried different changes to my wifi setup to make it work. He even called Chargepoint support and drove a conversation with them to see what we could do. When Chargepoint gave up, he stayed resilient with me and we found a way to bypass the problem to complete setup. While we weren't able to solve the original problem that day, he left me with a good idea of what to try next. I was able to solve it myself later that week and it now works flawlessly! I couldn't have asked for a better partner in getting this important work done.

Wow. I'm new to EV cars and Eduardo's customer service and communication is A+++++. After contacting several competitors, I knew I wanted to go with Eduardo. From a picture of my subpanel, he was able to provide me with a clear detailed estimate. He was also very familiar that I would need a 60A so that the charging rate would be 48A for my car. These small details made a difference in the initial response. I could also see the work he had done on Yelp and the install was very neat. Plus best price among the competition as well for a quality install! On the day of appointment, he texted me when he was on his way. Arrival on time is a HUGE plus for me as I hate when other businesses provide 2 hr windows and usually come late. After a quick chat of placement, he quickly started the install. We discussed installing to cover up the box that the builder had originally created. The whole installation was completed in under 40 min. Afterwards, he helped me set up the charger within the Chargepoint app and as well as the charging scheduled in my KIA ev9. Payment was simple through Venmo. I'm uber impressed and would recommend any new to EVs to contact Eduardo if they need to have a charger installed. I would call him the white glove experience of EV installers.

Update to my previous review. I got my Tesla a few weeks after EV Charging Solutions did my install. I set my car to charge Sat night at midnight. Well, half my circuit blew and I woke up at 4am on Sunday morning with my power out. I texted Eduardo at 8am on Sunday morning in a panic as my refrigerator was out and food would go bad and my wife and I work long hours during the week so it would not be easy to get someone to come out. Could I find an electrician to come out on Sunday? Here's where Eduardo saved the day. He drove from Tracy to San Jose (family in tow) to diagnose and fix the problem. It turns out it had nothing to do with the wiring Eduardo did but was the original outside main circuit breaker in my 50 year old home which went bad. He fixed it and made sure everything was up and running before he left. C'mon, who provides that level of service to their customers? Only the owner of a company who truly cares about their clients would do such a thing. As much as I care about having a great job at a good price (which Eduardo did), I also care about follow up and a company standing behind their work (and this wasn't even Eduardo's work he was fixing). The bottom line is that Eduardo and EV Charging Solutions are the real deal and that rare combination of Excellent work, good price, and outstanding Customer service and care. I am full of gratitude to Eduardo. I can't remember the last time I felt this way about any company. read more

Ed installed the Tesla wall charger in my garage, and the whole experience was pretty awesome and smooth. When I called few other contractors on yelp, they barely had time to speak/respond reasonably with a quote and was quite a hassle to get a hold on generally with the EV charger demand going up lately. However, with Ed, it was so easy to speak over the phone, was super responsive throughout getting my questions answered and getting a range of quote over the phone and scheduling was a breeze. He was very patient during installation while explaining all the installation options/intricacies involved with my breaker/wiring and I also felt comfortable with that knowledge. His rates are very reasonable and affordable and also got installation of Nest video doorbell while at it. After installation, he also helped me navigate through phone/wifi setup without rushing to leave. Overall, I highly highly recommend Ed for any of his electric services and EV charger installations in particular! read more

Needed three pictures placed over the fireplace and two light fixtures changed out. Ed showed up on time, brought everything he needed and was very professional. He took the time to measure everything and make sure that the pictures were evenly spaced and leveled over the fireplace, he paid attention to detail. Unless you are a great DIY person, which I am not, I suggest you contact Ed. Awesome professional and friendly service. We had a number of jobs we needed to get done including installing curtain rods, mounting TV, and assisting with home security installation. Ed did it all. He knows his stuff and is very meticulous. I am so happy with how everything came out. Eduardo was so great and did an amazing job. I had him come out to install my tv and a light fixture and he did more than that. He installed the tv above the fireplace, shelf below the tv, ran the wire strip so no wires are visible, installed the light fixture and installed the wall art on each side of the tv. Ed was a big help when he installed out level 2 home charger. Not only did he install the unit exactly how we wanted it he even offered some tips/advice before and after the installation. This is all new to my wife and I so we had a lot of questions and Ed was extremely patient with us as he answered all our questions with detail. Ed installed a EV charger outlet in my garage yesterday and I had a satisfying experience from getting the estimates and the final outcome. Ed knows his stuff!! He was able to come up with creative ways to get the connection from panel outside the house and placing the outlet almost 15 feet inside. Very neatly done and he tested all connections, explained all the details on various Amp usage scenarios and cleaned up before leaving. read more

As a new Tesla Model Y owner, getting a home charger installed quickly and efficiently was a top priority. After browsing Yelp, EV Charging Solutions stood out with some really positive reviews, and I can certainly see why! From the initial call, I was impressed. Someone answered right away and was able to answer all of my questions thoroughly. What made the process even smoother was their availability to install the charger the following Monday - my day off! This level of convenience made the whole experience incredibly easy. The technician, ED, arrived right on time on Monday, which is always a great start. He had a fantastic personality, making the whole interaction pleasant. The installation itself was completed in just a little over an hour, which was much faster than I anticipated. I opted for an outdoor installation on the side of my garage, and the technician did an excellent job. The finished result was very clean and professional, exactly what I was hoping for. I recently had Ed come over to install a Tesla Wall Connector at my home. My entire wall is covered with pegboard, so Ed needed to cut a square hole to properly install the connector. I was initially worried that the installation would leave a visible hole behind the connector, but Ed skillfully cut a shape that matched the Wall Connector almost perfectly. I needed to install my own Emporia Pro charger with a load balancer and wanted to get it done quickly and with a permit. I reached out to EV Charger Expert. I communicated with two people from the company: Kirill, the sales manager, and Erin, the electrician/installer. **The Good** Kirill is very prompt and responsive. He always answers the phone and is willing to discuss the details. He clearly knows the intricacies of EV charger installations, even in more complex situations. He was able to schedule the installation very quickly, and the work was completed on time. The city inspection was done one month later and passed without any issues. So, my primary goal was achieved: I had my charger installed, permitted, and running ASAP. **The Bad** The cost of the installation was fairly high. I paid $2,450 for installation, materials, and the permit. Since I provided my own charger, I believe the labor and other installation costs represented the majority of that amount. For this price, I expected a very high-quality job. Erin installed and set up everything within one day. Two relatively minor problems occurred. If the company had handled these issues better, I would have given them four or even five stars. **1. The load balancer antenna** My charger includes a load balancer with a small antenna. The antenna is supposed to stick out from the metal subpanel so that it can receive a Wi-Fi signal. After the installation, the antenna was hanging through a large round hole in the subpanel. It looked unfinished and, in my opinion, was both unattractive and potentially unsafe. I could not convince the installer to cover the opening, so I had to do it myself. I made a trip to Home Depot, spent about $10 on parts, and made a simple cover myself. The antenna is now secure and the opening is properly covered. Please see the before-and-after pictures. **2. Stripped subpanel screw** During the installation, one of the four screws holding the subpanel door was stripped. I considered this a safety issue. I notified both the installer and the sales manager by SMS that evening, as soon as I noticed it. The installer called me back two days later and, to put it mildly, was quite rude. He told me that it was not an emergency and that they would take care of it on the day of the inspection. On the day of the inspection, Kirill did not have the appropriate replacement hardware. I suggested using a tap and a slightly larger screw to repair the stripped hole, but he declined. Once again, I had to make a trip to a hardware store, purchase a set of taps and screws, and repair it myself. To be fair, Kirill reimbursed me $30 for the cost of the screws and taps. In total, I made several trips to a hardware store and spent several hours fixing issues that I believe should have been addressed by the installer. **Overall** The installation was completed quickly, on schedule, and passed the city inspection without any problems. Kirill was also very responsive throughout the process. However, given the high price, I expected better attention to detail and better handling of the two relatively minor issues that came up. Neither problem was particularly difficult or expensive to fix, but in both cases, I ultimately had to resolve the issue myself. For me, the installation achieved its main objective, but the quality of the finishing work and the way the problems were handled left something to be desired. For these reasons, I am giving EV Charger Expert three stars.

I bought the latest generation Tesla Wall Charger and thought it would be a no-brainer to install. Most electrical contractors in the 2022-2023 requested a picture of our inside and outside electrical panels, made general assumptions of my configuration, and just quoted a flat rate. Prices ran from $1750 to $3000. I thought it was a rip off......it was clear demand pricing was going on as so many people were buying EV's at that time. I also was aware everything in sub-division was done cheaply, so I wanted someone to work with me to future-proof our electrical requirements. I had a gut feeling there was a gap(s) in our current configuration, because every home project we undertook uncovered poor workmanship or cheap materials. A trusted friend recommended Terry Diep from Veebuild Electricians. Super responsive and extremely thorough in everything he does. He came over to do a mini site survey and I wanted to talk with him about our plans to be "solar ready". He patiently walked me through my current original electrical panel (Brand = Challenger ~ cheap and was recalled as a fire hazard), and I needed a new sub-panel for the Tesla Wall Charger on its own dedicated circuit. In 2024, I had him install a brand new Leviton Load Center main breaker panel with smart breakers, so I can monitor everything within my home to gauge my actual electrical consumption. He also installed a new Seimens sub-panel to support the Tesla Wall Charger, a new outlet for the Toto Washlet in the downstairs bathroom, and the Tesla Home Charger. He was competitive with others in the area. Terry is well known for quality installations by the Pleasant Hill permit dept and electrical inspectors ~ it was clear he maintains a good relationship with them. Everything passed inspection without any issues. We were all ready for our next step to install solar and batteries, for which we finally did in 4Q/2025. Everything came together and works perfectly for our situation. We have referred Terry to multiple friends since, so he has done quite a bit of work in our social circle.
