Please reconsider buying a Kia. First, the engine on my 2019 Rio with 44k miles that was maintained perfectly broke down. Then I have to wait 8 days for the nearest appointment just to get the car diagnosed to see if its eligible for repair under the manufacturers warranty. During this time, you CANNOT get a rental or reimbursement for a rental until the car has been through god knows how many tests and diagnoses even after they tell you that the engine does not work and the piston walls are severely scored. Then, once they do find something, they have to open up a line of communication with Kia corporate or somebody above them, which can take up to 7-10 days. It took the full 10 days for my case. So now it's been over 3 weeks that I haven't had a vehicle which by the way I am still making payments on, and I still have no idea when I will even be able to get a rental let alone get my car repaired. Also, Kia customer service across the board is total garbage. Try calling for yourself, see how long it takes to get connected to customer service, not the sales department lol. The best time I've ever gotten someone to pickup the phone was around 25 minutes which is actually amazing when you compare it to the other 5 or 6 times that I called and it took 1.5 to 2 hours to speak to someone. I'm not the only one, look it up. You can't even find an email for them, probably because they dont want you to have a paper trail. I would give a negative 5 stars if possible for doing the worst job imaginable. read more

HORRIBLE! I started the purchase and pricing process online with Ali Carson. But, I never received any quotes or estimates. This lasted for 3 days, only to discover Ali was an AI robot!! When I finally got in touch with human salesperson, he jerked me around, laughed at me via text for choosing to drive to a dealership that respected my time and kept sending me links to vehicles I was not interested in. All of this after a less than enjoyable experience three years earlier where I was overcharged for oil changes and not treated with a transparent process. Save your time and money. Despite my disregarding her commentary rebuttal, she persisted. My parent is a senior citizen and the clerk attempted to persuade and insist. She went as far as to state she knew my recently deceased father BETTER than I. My deceased father would NEVER pay for a battery, service fee, and labor at a dealership. I purchased a used piece of junk from them 5 months ago. They lied and told me it was never in an accident. The front bumper is a totally different color from the rest of my vehicle. The front-end collision sensor pops up from time to time indicating that as well. The screen jumps occasionally and will be out soon. The button on my tailgate has never worked to close it, only the one by the steering wheel works. The entire exhaust system is rusted out and needs to be replaced and due to this I'm forced to drive this abomination around with my asthmatic child in it. The transmission seems to be doing something weird as well, when I try to stop it wants to keep going. I have reached out to my salesperson with no response. We already paid over 1000.00 for the services they suggested that will fix the car problem. Be careful when taking your car in for services. My car was magically damaged from the dealership to our home. As soon as I noticed my car was damaged, I immediately reported it to Evans Kia. I sent them pictures of the damages. It took them a week to respond stating they didn't see anything on their camera where my car was damaged. I asked to see the video footage so I will see if they'll show it to me. Update: They stated they cannot show me any video footage due to customer privacy. Worst car shopping experience ever. This dealership is charging an unbelievable mark up which is listed in the picture as an added on window sticker, "market adjustment." For a low end, base model Kia Rio that has MSRP of $17K they want $25K. The salesman put a dealer sheet in front of me with an out the door price of $27K that included my trade in. I seriously thought I was being pranked. They were offering me $750 for my trade in, a 2008 Honda Accord LXP sedan, runs great has 140K miles. I left and bought a 2022 Corolla for $20K out the door at Milton Reuben Toyota. They gave me $4800 for my trade in. Was in and out in less than an hour with a test drive. Ordered a 2023 Sportage SX Prestige Hybrid on 5 May 2023, made a deposit for it, and was told it would be in within 90 days. Agreed to MSRP price with tinting and their Kia plus service. -Received a text message on 11 July at 11:47 stating "Good afternoon this is JR Richardson Sales Manager at Evans Kia. I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that the sportage that you ordered is currently in transit and will be here on the 18th (July)." -No follow through. I came back to town so I could get the vehicle and called the salesman on the 19th ready to pick it up. He didn't even remember who I was or what vehicle I had ordered. He had to check and call me back saying they didn't know where the vehicle was. - I made several phone calls and visits to the dealership over the next few weeks. Drove several other vehicles after they said they would give me a good deal on another one. The deals were way worse than the one I agreed to and put a down payment on. They were also more expensive vehicles so actually raising my cost around $7K. -I went from 3 vehicles to 0 from the time I ordered to when I received the text that my new car was coming in. My son wrecked one and I sold the other 2 in order to pay for the new one on the 19th only to find out it really wasn't here. - I was extremely frustrated and called another local Kia dealership, agreed on a price of a Kia Sorento on 9 Aug. This is THE WORST experience I've had ever with ANY customer service. It's unorganized, multiple people that did not sell you your car telling you multiple things. I purchased my car in January and did a trade in, I had to get a duplicate title and set an appointment in another state (because I'm active duty military) to go get it, they told me not to worry about it because they'll submit the paperwork to do it, once they received what they needed to do so, no one told me anything. I had to find out that they didn't submit anything and that I had a hold and couldn't receive my tags. Thank God the lady at the tag office extended my temporary tags. Also will give you the runaround with things you need done for your car that was not in the carfax shown but within documents I've found inside the actual car after purchasing. My credit was also dinged 6 times when we agreed on another number. Not military friendly, not people friendly, just don't go to purchase a car. Don't even drive by this place, just bad all around. The only nice people were in the service area and they agreed that the sales people don't know what they're doing and they don't care, as long as they sold a car. I've had people from other car dealerships be more helpful on this car than the actual place where I've purchased it. ZERO STARS. Should've did more research, please save yourselves. read more

part, our new car buying experience here was unpleasant, lengthy, and unorganized. We should have brought a sack lunch because, in our experience, once the keys to our trade-in were relinquished, we had no way of leaving the dealership for a bite to eat until after four hours later when we left the dealership with our conditional new car purchase. Our salesman and the sales manager were the only two exceptions to this unpleasant experience. Honestly, we had never encountered such a unique car buying process before such as this one. Even though we have excellent credit and income, are well qualified buyers, and arrived at the dealership with the funds to make a large down payment, we were asked to sign a conditional delivery document. Usually, and it our understanding, that this particular document is for subprime borrowers. Additionally, the second set of our new car keys were held from us until two days later. It felt strange to us to leave the dealership with our conditional new car purchase knowing that someone else had possession of our second set of car keys. We were told that our new car was ours to drive away, but technically only until the dealership received final loan approval and loan funding from Kia Finance. So, our question was at that point, were we approved or not? Therefore, we felt that we could not really drive or enjoy our new car purchase until several days later after our purchase, since we felt that we had to park our new car at home until we were told that the car was really ours to keep, and to avoid being charged mileage if we were asked to return the car. Additionally, we were asked to return to the dealership the next week so that our car could receive pre-delivery inspection. When we arrived at the service bay for this inspection, the service writer greeted us with frustration by asking us, what are y'all doing here. He then told us that we would have to wait three or 4 more hours for the inspection. The service writer did not greet us with a hello, how are you guys today, how may I help you guys today, good morning, no welcome greeting, and no congratulations on buying a new car from our dealership. Additionally, another staff member told us while we were on the phone with our car insurance agent to insure our new purchase, that he couldn't answer our agent's car safety feature question because he only does the paperwork. We were embarrassed and taken aback by this comment. We feel that the more appropriate response would have been for this staff member to say, I don't know the answer to your insurance agent's question, but I will try and find an answer for you, or I will ask your salesperson to join us in my office to provide the answer. read more

The price coming from the sales manager was 40% over the MSRP--from a sticker price of $51,000 to $71,000. I don't know who this joke of a sales manager thought he was dealing with when he tried to pull one over on us, but he was wrong in thinking we would be fool enough to fall for such a ridiculous offer. I wouldn't buy a brand new Telluride from them for $20,000 now because I refuse to give my money to a business with such unethical practices. If we offered to pay $20,000 for the premium nightfall edition of the Telluride, our offer would be just as ridiculous as his offer to us of $71,000. Potential customers, take your business elsewhere. Better yet, spend the same money on an actual luxury vehicle. read more

UPDATE: 11/7/2016 EVAN Kia is NO LONGER Dyer Kia (thank goodness)!! Mr Dyer is no longer giving Kia a bad name due to his exceptionally low customer service and customer satisfaction. When I found out this dealer was under new ownership, I went back to buy a new Kia Soul and to get service on my other auto. I only have high praises for the new owner and finance manager. I drove away in a new Kia after they matched my other offer to the penny. They may not have profited from me on this sale but it was a huge investment on their part as I give them high praise and recognition to all that will listen. Even though they are under new ownership, they honored my new car service agreement from Dyer (ugh, there's that bad taste again..) and replaced my old battery for free; a $325 savings. 6/4/2014 This is a fairly new dealership. Their prices and amenities are better than Kia of Augusta b/c they are trying to establish a base pool of clients. Mr Dyer, the owner is a less than favorable person but so long as you can avoid him, his staff makes up for his deficit. Jahmar sold me a 2014 Optima SXL here at Dyer, $4k cheaper than the other dealership. Check the online pricing. I found out was far less than the advertised price at the lot. G'luck read more

I purchased a Kia Rio 2015 from Evans Kia. It wasn't what I really wanted but even though I make good money my credit wasn't great due to me being in out of hospital for 7 months. Sylvester told me he Wd make sure the car was in tlip top shape before I picked it up. That was in June it's been in the shop 4 times and almost 800$ dollars later it's finally driveable. I called the dealership and the service dept kept saying bring it in and we will fix it but at my cost of course. I was told the car was certified in A1 condition by a certified mechanic which apparently was BS. I had serious problems with the emission system the purge valve was bad. The windshield wipers were bad, the tire sensor was bad and it needed brakes and rotors and this was in less than 2 months of purchase. I've had my ups and down, frustrations even, with the service department... the sales people are what you'd expect... but everyone there seems to have a permanent smile on their faces! I've never had a service person not be extremely helpful, whether recommending services or treatments for my car, answering the stupid questions that I ask, or even just shooting the breeze about cars in general... for the most part, service is speedy and quality! This review is 2 stars because frank, our sales guy, was extremely helpful and very accommodating. He took time to figure out what we needed and what our budget was. If not for him, this would be one star. Josh or JR the sales manager was extremely condescending towards us. His approach of being too cool and calling me bro was easily overlooked, however questioning "what we were there to accomplish" while laying his phone on the desk with a partially nude woman on the background is where my wife drew the line. Our 10 year daughter sitting at the table was staring at the phone. I am not going to say the dealership isn't good based on one persons actions, however if he is the lead sales manager there I question what is acceptable as a business. BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!! We were tag teamed by the best sales people ever....Percy and Brian. Brian was so friendly and it was almost too easy to get us in and out. Even though it was tons of busy they were able to make the car buying process super simple and straight to the point. I am so used to haggling or being told we need some outrageous ($1,000 or more) down payment that i really dislike the car buying process, however not here. We initially had a $1,500 down payment requested, normal for us we understand, and we told them we did not have that available. All i remember is a mark through that amount and our rebate of $500.00 being used on the car to lower the payment $100.00 over what we were originally quoted. We have absolutely great financing and i wish we would have come here sooner! We love our super fuel efficient kia rio ($15.00 to fill up baby!!). This is the best car dealership ever! I don't recommend buying from Evans Kia and here's 3 reasons why. Reason #1: Clayton Jones was a good salesman and helped me out with some things but not all. Clayton tried to sell my dad more on the car features than the basic fundamentals which upset my dad and made him frustrated over the phone. When the phone call was over Clayton looked at me in my eyes and said "your father is a dick". I was shocked and upset that the deal was already made and I left that day to pick up my car another day. The Friday I picked it up he gave me the keys to my 2015 Kia Optima and said "I hope your father isn't a dick anymore". Reason #2,3: Evans Kia just wanted to sell me a car and they didn't care about me. I bought the car out and didn't need a lean but Evans Kia put on lean on the car which means I couldn't get my title and put my dad as the co-owner when we specifically told them we bought the car with cash and we want my dad as the co-owner. They messed everything up. I continued to call Evans Kia to get them to try and fix the problem but they said "I'll call you back in an hour" and they never did!
