If I could leave less than 1 star I would. Was referred to her by my opthamologist in San Mateo. Went to her office in Foster City initially for the removal of ingrown eyelashes that were scratching my cornea. She tweezed them (maybe 3) and billed my insurance for over $500 for the office visit and procedure. Went back for same procedure as the lashes grew back and was charged the same. She suggested having them removed by electrolysis but no guarantee they would not grow back. Took her suggestion and had her remove them in office. They practically had to strap my arms down when they injected the "numbing" agent into the bottom of my eye sockets in the very tender part of my face. I then swore I would never, under any conditions, let them do that to me again. Over the course of two years, I had to go back to her for "dry eyes" which, on 2 occasions, she inserted needles down my tear ducts. Neither time did that work. Then she suggested surgery to insert stints into both the upper and lower tear ducts of both eyes for which were to be left in for 3 months. On day of surgery after being behind for nearly 3 hours, procedure was done and when I got home the left stint was coming out and I had to cautiously work it back into the bottom tear duct. After 6 weeks the other stint came out so far it reached below my cheek bone and there was no way it could be pushed by in so I ended up having to cut and remove, pulling the knot out of my tear ducts. Needless to say, this was extremely painful and when I returned to her office she acted like it was no big deal. After all of the procedures, and thousands of $$$, my dry eyes were unchanged and not improved. She then suggested the next course of action was to break my bridge bone and go in and re-route my "plumbing". After two years of suffering there was no way I was going to let that occur. Just so happened that after telling my neighbor what I was and had gone through, my neighbor, who is not a physician, suggested either Restasis or Xiidra. I called Moscato's office and asked if she could write me a prescription so I could at least give the drops a try and Moscato had her receptionist tell me that she would not do that and for me to go to my primary, referring opthamologist for that because it was too time consuming for Moscato to do it. I mean, really? Here I had been going to Moscato for over two years and had all these procedures and surgery and she could not write a prescription? Aren't doctors supposed to help their patients? Well, I called my opthamologist and they made me an appointment for the very next day and wrote a prescription for Restatis, no problem. Well, guess what? Within 2 days of using Restatis, my dry eyes are no longer a problem and I am just blown away that Moscato is obviously about doing all these procedures for thousands of $$$$ instead of trying a medication first. It may just be my opinion, or pretty obvious, instead of doing the less invasive options first, it is all about the money and not doing what is best for the patient, most likely knowing that the eye drops would work but would not be beneficial for her bank account. Under no circumstances would I recommend. read more

Interviewed several surgeons for ptosis repair and scar revision from a previous blepharoplasty. Dr Moscato was on time, very pleasant, very confident that she could correct the condition and spent time educating me on the condition and on the procedure in a user friendly and not rushed fashion. She is very down to earth. Another surgeon had told me that this type of surgery has a high rate of recurrence, however Dr Moscato said that this is a surgery she does alot of and that's just not the case. I am VERY happy with the outcome and the treatment I received from everyone at the office. I highly recommend. read more

Do NOT see Dr. Moscato even if you've been referred by another physician and I'm a health professional. She nickles and dimes everyone that walks through her office. She starts off by charging a $200 consultation fee, which is normal, but most offices apply the $200 to further treatment. I've called several other offices for a second opinion and they all apply it to follow up treatment. Then she charged me another $600 to dissolve some old fillers, but that did absolutely NOTHING. She told me to make another appointment in 5 weeks to see how treatment went and they charged me another $175 for a follow up visit when Dr. Moscato was the one that asked me to make the appointment for a post op visit to see how the treatment went. That's a total of $975 for absolutely NOTHING. She didn't even offer a refund for a treatment she suggested and that DID NOT work. I called for a second opinion and no other offices charge a follow up visit, esp not for $175 and not for an appointment that the doctor requested. That's almost $1,000 out of my pocket for absolutely nothing. At least be a competent doctor and recommend a treatment that actually works. Stand by your work. If it doesn't work then have the decency of refunding your patient. Have you also noticed that she has no photo gallery, no before and afters. I'm seeing an SF doctor, who has a much more impressive background and experience and has a ton of before and after photos of procedures he's performed. She might be the only doctor in our area that specializes in oculofacial plastic surgery, but I would venture outside of your area. Trust me when I say it's worth it. read more

Dr. Moscato performed epiblepharon correction surgery for both of my lower eyelids. Surgery was quick, had a smooth recovery, and no one can tell I even had surgery. So much relief now since I no longer have scratchy eyes. My only regret was not getting this done sooner! read more

She was cold, never smiled, was critical of my eyebrows being uneven and did not express any confidence in helping me with my drooping eyelids. In October 2014, Dr. Eve Moscato performed eye lid surgery on both my eye lids to correct "droopy" lids. The surgery and recovery went well and the results have been terrific. Dr. Moscato is amazing! Being in my late 30s, I felt like it was time for my first botox experience. She was referred to me by a friend so I decided to give it a shot. Soooo glad I did! When I first came in, I was greeted by the friendliest face! I believe her name was Danielle. She was surprisingly helpful and knowledgeable which was great. I've encountered rude receptionists way too many times. Once I got into the office, when Dr. Moscato came in she made me feel comfortable right away. I cannot express enough how grateful we are for the work Dr. Moscato did for our 2 1/2 year old son. He was born with ptosis and his drooping lid gradually got worse over time until he was basically walking around with one eye open. It was hard to see him struggle to see and it was hard to watch other kids and adults constantly make comments about his one eye knowing that he would hang his head lower each time. It really breaks a mom's heart. It really took a toll on his confidence. The drooping was also causing vision problems and his eye was much weaker than the better one. We finally decided it was the right time to correct his lid with a frontalis sling in May with a referral from our long time ophthalmologist (who is also great). Dr. Moscato was confident and warm which is what we needed knowing this would change his appearance and it would also be a long surgery for such a little guy. Recovery was a breeze with minimal bruising and swelling. Immediately we noticed my son's running gait was less clumsy. The first time I took him to the park, he walked up to a kid and tried to say hi. This is coming from a mom who watched her son run away and hide from others instead of trying to be social. We are about 6 weeks out and not only does my son actively seek other kids to play chase with (a miracle in itself), but his recent eye exam showed his vision has improved 100% and now both eyes see perfectly! In fact, his vision is better than most kids his age. No more patching his good eye. They are both good! I know as he grows we will have to tweak the sling, but I cannot recommend Dr. Moscato enough. He looks so handsome and you would never know there was an issue to begin with. The results are very natural. Just seeing him smile as he plays with other kids was worth all the struggle. read more

She is a surgeon but is not the type to automatically recommend an operation. She thoughtfully analyzes and decides what's best for the patient. I called her San Francisco office to make an appointment for my teenage daughter for an eye issue at the end of 2018. It is now the end of 2019. When making the appointment I was very specific, making sure that the visit would be covered by my specific insurance. When I arrived at the office, I was also assured of this. However a year later, I am still getting billed for the office visit in its entirety as Dr. Moscato is apparently not actually in network. I have called her office multiple times and the office assures me that it's a mistake, and I called the insurance company and they are saying that the group is in network but not Dr. Moscato. I have asked the office for a copy of the actual bill to send it to the insurance company myself, but after a year, they just keep billing me a "balance forward" amount for the office visit. She might be an OK doctor but she needs to get her office organized. read more

My first visit with Dr. Moscato was in April 2018 to correct a right eye Ptosis procedure that Dr. Scott Lee of East Bay Ophthamology had done in November 2017. I was very comfortable with her. She explained everything to my understanding very well. I liked her immediately. She is very professional, smart and beautiful. Woman to women, I knew she knew how I felt having that droopy eyelid. The procedure was done July 2 with very little bruising or swelling. I am elated! When I took the bandage off later that day, I was amazed that my right eyelid looked so good right away.
