Stopped by Riverside Pizza & Pub on a Thursday during happy hour around 5:30 p.m. and had a terrific experience. The place had a nice crowd without feeling overly busy, creating a lively but comfortable atmosphere. We ordered a 16-inch thin-crust pizza with sausage and black olives, and it was outstanding. It arrived piping hot right from the oven, with plenty of melted cheese and a satisfying cheese pull that pizza lovers will appreciate. The crust was thin and crisp, and the toppings were generous and flavorful. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout our visit. Our server checked on us regularly without being intrusive and made sure we had everything we needed. You win some, you lose some…read more I ordered four pizzas in varying sizes--from the largest to the smallest--hoping for a great experience based on all the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, it was a flop. We spent over $100 expecting high-quality, local pizza, but were left wondering what all the hype was about. The sauces were bland and barely noticeable, the crust was dry and completely lacking in flavor, and the pizza overall felt low-effort. I specifically asked for extra toppings on one of the pizzas, but what we received hardly qualified as "extra." It felt like a waste of money. This was meant to be a treat for my family and guests, but I could barely eat more than one slice per box. I ended up giving most of it away just to avoid having to deal with leftovers. The crust, especially, was a huge letdown--more like a cracker than pizza dough. I enjoy thick crusts or even a thinner style, but this was just too dry and crunchy to enjoy. Really wish the quality lived up to the price point. This place was unfortunately not for us.
