Aside from location, this place is nothing to speak about. The only reason people go is there's not much else around. The food is ok and the menu is limited. Once a favorite five-star restaurant with good food, views, and music has fallen from grace. Food was lackluster at best and non-edible at worst. Servers had no interest in what they were hired to do. Didn't even notice that one person's dish went uneaten with exception of first bite. Hope management steps back and experiences their restaurant from the eyes of diners and make changes to bring it back to the level it was before. read more

Best new place to eat in Sea Bright. Dockside before was an ok place but once it changed to the new owner it really took the next step and became an awesome place to eat and drink. Really nice inside and it overlooks the river so sunsets are amazing. Food is good and very reasonably priced. read more

Was looking for a place to have my kids graduation lunch/brunch with a nice view and a variety of options but thought best to try this place out first before bringing 20 people there for a celebration. And I'm glad I did. While the ambiance was exactly what I was looking for (on the water, more upscale deck than some of the other waterfront places but still casual) the food was awful. The lobster bisque was watery and had little taste. The fried calamari appetizer was ok but was cold. The bread on the grown up grilled cheese sandwich was burnt to a crisp. My teens ordered sandwiches and upgraded from chips to fries and it was ok but nothing was hot. Everything was room temperature. Very disappointing. I sent back the bisque and the server was nice enough to take it off the bill but just chalked up the rest to a test that failed miserably. Still looking.. read more

This place is a joke. Asked for a piece of fish on the seafood combo to be fried. The waitress said no because it was all prepped together? What does that have to do with anything? She did not even ask the chef or manager. I then had to decide on a different item to order. I ordered the fish tacos which also could not be fried. What the heck? The food itself was pretty good actually. The sad part is, with a little customer service, this could have been a 5 star review. They should take a tip from Burger King; your way, right away. Our server/ bartender is annoyed that my husband asked for a fork and knife about 10 minutes after my salad arrived "Sorry about that ". My salad has no extra kalamata or feta as requested. There is almost no dressing on my salad- (I guess that is better than last time when this same salad was drowning in it.) Our server asked me how everything was- I could probably have asked for more dressing- But she didn't wait for me to respond. I have been sitting at the bar since 6:30pm- it's now 8:45. The bartender just asked us if we wanted another drink. Yes. We . Do . Please!! My brother in law tells me he and his party are waiting nearly 2 hours for a table. We are all regulars. We come here every Friday Memorial Day thru Labor Day. We also come on the occasional weekend after the season. Never once have I gotten the feeling that anyone recognizes us. We don't come here for the food. We come for the fabulous sunsets and the summer vibe. Last week I had the Grown Up Grilled Cheese. They shamelessly served me the burned sandwich face down- like I wouldn't taste the charred bread. The outdoor raw bar, rum buckets and bands are usually pretty good. If you are okay with mediocre food and the lousy service from unhappy bartenders and servers then you will be okay. The sunsets usually make up for it. read more

Love the location and staff is always so nice! My go to dishes are the wedge salad and a cab cake.... Both so delicious. However new bar menu restricts the ordering of the crab cake as it is not on this particular menu. The kitchen made an exception for me just this one time. I am only giving this place 4 stars because the view and food are very good. Management seems very good also. But the waitress we had was a straight up dope. Kept forgetting to get us are drinks and messed up the order. Also be prepared to wait awhile to be seated. So here is the bottomline. Went there for a Meetup event on Saturday night and to hear a band play. Band was good, crowd was good, bartenders did a great job keeping up with drink orders. My only negative was that the restaurant was apparently not prepared for the amount of people, I was told no more food orders for the outside area at around 8pm and subsequently a 90-minute wait for a table. The band stopped playing at 9:30; many people cleared out, and my table buzzer never buzzed. Our party of 4 left at 10pm to look for something to eat so I can't rate the food. read more

I usually always check yelp before going to a new place but this visit I didn't because I was with two locals that said the view was great and the food good. BIG mistake by not checking out reviews. Came for lunch on 7/18, lunch not dinner, our waitress told us all the many things they were out of before we could order. My daughter ordered a sandwich that came with coleslaw, out of coleslaw but they would certainly give her a salad instead - but failed to mention that would be a full up charge. Her tune wrap had two inches of lettuce and about 3 bites on tuna, I ordered fish and chips -both were not eatable. The fish was almost black - over cooked cold and rubbery the fries just extremely oily. They took the fish back and brought the new order and slapped it on the table and it was hot but still cooked black. No ice in our water and we waited for 30 minutes to get our awful food.All the views on the shore are great. Be warned you really don't need a good view from EvenTide. read more

This was my fourth time back since their reopening, the place looks fantastic after the rebuild from the storm. I am really enjoying the roll out of the menu. The staff is always friendly, the wait for the food is never long. Great meal. Ate here on a Wed. this time, there were three of us, we had a hamburger, the lobster roll and chicken francaise. Everything was great, my only comment is on the chicken. It was delicious, but unlike any francaise I have ever had. I'm pretty sure there was tomato used in the coating and there was a lot of parmesan. Like I said delicious but not what I expected when I ordered francaise. The view is fantastic, the only place left in the area with a sunset view that I can think of. Looking forward to the full menu in the fall! read more

Check your receipts My wife discovered that our credit card statement and the receipts amount did not agree. I drove half an hour ( each way) to meet with the manager to resolve this. Oh yes, i see your we added an additional $50 to the tip amount. He refunded the amount, said sorry and that was that. No concern about the over charge, no offer to compensate us for our time and trouble. Makes you wonder. read more

We used to love this restaurant, still like the food, the view couldn't be beat...it's the clientele that can be a turnoff, what a large collection of self absorbed a-holes. Tonight we ate at the outdoor bar like we always do when this party of about ten showed up led by this particular jerk who was holding court puffing on his cigar, to the dislike of most, and you were lucky to be part of his universe. I would have gave this place 5 stars because the food was excellent, but waited a long time for a table. The Mahi mahi was excellent (highly recommend it, blackened perfectly) coconut shrimp was the best I've ever had.. And the PB explosion and coconut tres leches cakes was also excellent!!! Clean, beachy feel, overlooking the marina and the sunset is free! Very hangry over sized teenaged son was very satisfied with his calamari appetizer & chicken parmigiana dinner. Picky husband reported that the fish & chips were good, sliders were devoured & I had a burger which hit the spot. Fries were good too! We went there last night just after sunset. Even then,the view was absolutely amazing! It was almost surreal with the dim sun colors, and the layers of clouds. I ordered the blackened scallops, and my wife ordered the chicken Caesar salad wrap. The meal came in a timely fashion, although I noticed that the two tables around us had ALL their food brought out at once, and they had to send back the main course while they worked on the appetizers. The blackened scallops were very good, and were served with some tasty rice and asparagus. There was also some warm spicy tomato thing served along with the scallops. It tasted OK but didn't go at all with the other items on the plate. My wife liked the chicken Cesar wrap, but was wondering why they would put croutons on a wrap!! It didn't seem to go very well as the wrap was a little dry already. It was a good meal, although with some strange things served on the plates. read more

Wonderful dine in experience! We had a table by the water on a beautiful Sat night. Our waitress, Kate H., was a gem. We started with Rum Bucket, a must, and crab dip appy (delish). My wife had the surf and turf burger, fab, and I had the Nicoise Tuna Salad (very tasty). Finished with PB bomb (another must have). Not only a great atmosphere, but we got to enjoy a live band along with our dinner! Snagged an after dinner cocktail, enjoyed walking the marina, while living the music! Monday night my wife and I thought we could go and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere, and it wasn't busy so we thought we were good. We got sat right away, and waited 25 minutes to be greeted, then the waitress came over took our drink orders and waited another 20 minutes before they even took our order. Had dinner here last night with some friends. We tend to go for the setting and you can't beat the sunset views. Had drinks at the outside bar while waiting for a table which were great. Once we sat down for dinner it went downhill. Our friends ordered the Seafood Pot for 2 which they were later told the kitchen could not make, but were offered no explanation. The cappuccino machine was also broken. At least our meals were tasty and the company was great. All still would have been ok except for the attitude of our waitress. She was unfriendly and unpleasant and quite frankly should get a job that doesn't involve customer service. read more

It's Labor Day, empty seats all over the place and had to wait at the bar for half an hour for a table. Finally get seated and no one comes over to us, so after 15 minutes we left. Is this place under new ownership or just a new name? Table of 5 next to us with grandparents and the granddaughter I assume got up and grabbed a pitcher of water herself. Another table actually cheered when their food was brought out. Parents ended up leaving a few years ago for the same reason. It's a shame would loved to have tried something on the menu. Overrated and overpriced. Food is mediocre at best but the views are very nice if you don't mind overpaying for poor food.

To start never order the fish and chips, they seem inconvenient to make. The pizza is freaking phenomenal, and whoever's been doing salads from June-October is a culinary genius. Our server, who goes by the name Ed (odd name, seems more like a Ben Dover) was too hipster to bare. Kind of ruined the whole meal. He kept asking us if we knew about some obscure band that we never heard of, and never stopped talking about Brooklyn. Overall would eat there again. Had a terrible experience at Eventide in Sea Bright tonight that I feel I need to share. A large group of us went for dinner and 1 member of our party has Celiac disease (you CANNOT have gluten when you have Celiac disease). I posted a picture of the menu, which clearly labels "gluten free " items as GF. My friend decided to order the Waldorf salad and the chicken skewers, both GF on menu. The kids were served their meals first and were nearly finished when something made my friend double check with the waitress that the chicken was indeed gluten free. She went to check with the chef, returned saying that, in fact, the sauce on the chicken is not gluten free nor is the dressing on the salad that she ordered. WHAT?? How can that be when it is marked GF on the menu? When the manager came over (Cynthia), she confirmed that none of the sauces or dressings are gluten free but they could make her plain chicken and give her a lemon on the side for flavor. My friend told her to cancel her meals as she no longer trusted the kitchen. The manager went so far as to say that she understands because she too has Celiac disease. How could she possibly allow these items to be marked GF if she has Celiac and would know how horribly ill it could make you and the autoimmune response that could be triggered by eating gluten!?!? And, she barely even apologized. On top of it all, they wound up charging my credit card the wrong amount (too much) !! I will never go back again. read more
