Sissy's at the harbor Fast and friendly service, with indoor and outdoor seating. Great way to spend a morning or afternoon on a sunny day. Today I had the western cheese omelette, which was delicious. Huge portions definitely recommend again. Pretty casual restaurant if you're able to, sit down outside under the cupboard patio and enjoy the scenery. Plenty of parking available, but do be aware there are private lots in the area. Be careful where you park. Note: -- CASH ONLY --. ATM at front door. I would definitely recommend coming back again.

Last time I was here was 5 years ago! Had lunch here after a bike ride to Sandy Hook. Beautiful Mother's Day sitting outside for lunch. I had the same sandwich-was very tasty but a little greasy. Fries were perfect! Great ambience. Stellar service by staff. Thank you!

I love the breakfast here! I usually bring my dog and sit outside at the picnic tables near the water. The atmosphere is really relaxing. The servers in this place are usually really good too. I can't say I have had a bad experience and I go there quite a few times a year. Inside is small but they have a counter to sit at.

Sissy's has such a homie local welcoming vibe. The prices are unbeatable! I've never had anything here I don't like. Such a great breakfast spot and it's right on the water. My favorite part is they serve their iced coffee and chocolate milk in GIANT mason jars!

How did I not know about this place sooner. Great food with an excellent view. Can't beat their prices either.

Are you looking to have a classic American breakfast on the Jersey shore? Try sissy's at the marina in the Atlantic highlights. They have great pancakes, French toasts, scrambled eggs, and bacon. Good service and the scenery is nice. You can see the Raritan Bay and New York City from a far.

We ordered the fish tacos, birria tacos, and kettle-style potato chips--and every plate came out looking as good as it tasted. The fish tacos were beautifully assembled, piled high with crisp, fresh slaw that added the perfect crunch to the tender, flaky fish underneath. Light, clean, and balanced. The birria tacos were the star of the table. Rich, deeply seasoned meat tucked into perfectly griddled shells, served with a savory dipping broth that takes each bite to another level. Messy in the best way possible--and completely worth it. Even the kettle-style potato chips stood out. Thick-cut, golden, and topped with just the right amount of flavor to make them more than just a side--they held their own next to the tacos. The overall experience ties everything together: polished yet relaxed atmosphere, attentive service, and dishes that clearly have intention behind them. It's the kind of place where you can tell care is put into both the food and the experience. Atlantic House isn't just a good meal--it's a spot you'll want to come back to, and one I'd recommend without hesitation.

It was early Sunday night and the bar was full but the dining area wasn't so we stayed in the bar. Service was excellent, the bartender came around and made sure we were comfortable, handed us menus and brought water. She told us the specials and shortly after our server came by. I was a bit disappointed at the lack of seafood on the menu. My picky girlfriend would have enjoyed some flounder or scallops but they only had a seared salmon and blacked shrimp. The Mrs. Got a burger and it was adequate, nothing to write home about. I got the chicken parm and it was ample and terrific. The tomato sauce was stellar! Sadly I wanted the scallops with risotto. This place has potential, the service is great, the atmosphere is fantastic, plus I know the chef has the chops from visiting his last place, the red store in Navasink. We'll be back but I'll be sure to check for seafood offerings before I go.

Well, I was finally able to check it out recently with a friend, and we both immediately fell in love with the place. The bar was at the end of a long parking lot and offered several different areas. There was a tented space with picnic tables, a sand-covered lagoon with couches and firepits, a pier with loads of dining tables, a small space for their frequent live music, a giant bar, and many other lounge chairs scattered about. The bar offered a variety of beers, wines, cocktails, and even mocktails. My Aperol Spritz was robust and well-balanced. We also ordered food from Cuts & Catch, which was a food truck and grill near the entrance to the bar. Their menu supposedly changes often, but they focus on both surf and turf items. When we arrived around 7:30 pm on a Saturday evening, a majority of the menu was already sold out. In some ways, that helped ease the selection process, but it also meant that a few of the things that had appealed to us (chicken kebabs, for instance) were no longer an option. We each ended up getting an order of the Fried Fish Tacos and shared a Shrimp Cocktail. The tacos were served in portions of three. The small corn tortillas were wrapped around large pieces of crispy, flaky fish tenders and a cabbage slaw. We both thought they looked basic, but they tasted phenomenal! The raw bar dish included five jumbo shrimp with a side of cocktail sauce. The shellfish were plumb and very fresh. We were still a bit hungry after these items, especially since we had spent the day at the beach, so we also shared an order of fries for the ride home; the thin, crisp fries were perfectly salted and simply delicious. The live music and views of the sunsetting over the marina made for a lovely atmosphere, and the excellent food and drinks made the experience that much better. We cannot wait to return!

It always looked like such a cool place, and I had been really interested in checking it out. I finally made it there the other day, after a brief afternoon at a local beach. When we arrived around 6:30 pm on that Friday evening, we could see that the back deck was very full and that the parking lot was also close to capacity. We were able to, thankfully, grab a spot and walked over to the restaurant, climbing the stairs to the second floor where we met the hostess. We were told that the wait for outdoor seating was 40-minutes, while indoors was 30-minutes. Glancing around, the inside dining room was casual and nautically-themed. The tables and bar were bustling. The balcony was just as busy, but offered live music, so we determined that it would be worth waiting the additional time and added our name to the list. In the meantime, we decided to hang by the outdoor bar but were unable find a spot. Thankfully, a duo was vacating one of the few high-top tables in the bar section, which were first-come, first-serve. We grabbed that table and settled in to watch the beautiful sunset over the boats docked in the harbor. The staff and the few patrons we encountered during our visit were all very friendly, which only emphasized the laidback vibe of the waterside venue. The food, however, was mediocre at best. When our dinner was delivered, we did not receive any silverware, so we had to grab that from the bar, which was also from where we had placed our order. I had requested the Pan-Seared Salmon, which was well-cooked and served with thin stalks of asparagus, dry jasmine rice, and a huge amount of buttery garlic herb sauce. It made sense that the fish was served in a bowl, because there was so much greasy butter that it would have leaked all over if it was on a flat plate. Thankfully, the bartender had given me a few side plates, so I was able to move my food out of the oily bowl. My friend also had some issues with her meal. Her cup of New England Clam Chowder was flavorful, but watery and mostly broth. Her Fried Flounder Sandwich was heavily breaded and served with an unripe tomato and mushy, oily fries. From a beverage perspective, they had surprisingly interesting cocktails, but I was thrilled to see my favorite beer, Kane Head High, on tap. We simply loved the view, live acoustic tunes from P.D. Brody, and the overall relaxing atmosphere. However, we felt that the food could have been better executed. The menu offered all kinds of seafood and higher-end bar food, but the preparation left something to be desired.
