I would not ever recommend this company! They have casually taken advantage of my eighty year old parents. They did the work on our property and now have tacitly refused to pay for damages they directly did and indirectly caused by lack of proper communication and notifications. They have exited our life without fulfilling common sense responsibilities towards our family, their customers (were we?). We will need to seek legal help for these unattended issues. We had a system installed almost a year ago and there was an issue with water backing up into the basement. The two reps who responded today were very effective in pinpointing the issue and immediately acting to resolve it. Everdry worked on our basement water problems 29 years ago. We haven't had any water problems since Everydry worked on our basement. Our water problem was unique because we had water streaming down the sides of our basement walls so the solution was unique as well. Everydry worked diligently to find a solution to our water problem. They installed french drains both inside and outside of our home as well as two sump pumps in our basement. The cost of all of the work remained constant as stated in our contract. I have to disclose that it took almost 2 years to get our basement dry, but Everydry gave us a dry basement as promised. Called on Aug 18th for an estimate after some heavy rains tested the limits of the current drain system. EVERDRY PGH sent two guys on the 19th. They were pleasant; walked through the basement, turned on some gadgets, etc. After about 15 mins of that, I sat through a 12-min slide show about how horrible my basement is. I purchased a $19.5K system that would require them to dig up the entire perimeter of my newly-renovated basement (inside & out (including a section of my back deck)) even though the water was entering in at a very isolated spot under our steps. I put down 10% and was placed on some program that would allow their team to give me as little as 24-hour notice to begin sooner than later. They called on Sept. 2nd and said they could schedule me for Nov 15th (week before Thxgiving). I called back and canceled about an hour later. The rep made me state and spell my name & address, phone number, and asked me a bunch of questions they already knew the answers to then demanded that I tell him why I was canceling. Even after disclosing the reason, he was flippant and began crying that it was important that he knew or else he couldn't cancel the service. They sent the same two guys back (also that same day). This time, not as pleasant. Disposition was a bit hostile. They tried to muscle us back into the sale, cried that ARK [arkbasementservices.com] (who we decided to go with bc they seem to actually care about our house and could start much sooner) didn't know what they were doing, they made my wife go get the papers we signed on Aug 20th to cancel only to tell her she didn't need them when she returned, the shorter old guy (black Range Rover) even raised his voice and said that no one has ever canceled before (even though we signed a doc labeled CANCELLATION FORM atop), etc. It was pathetic. I'll also add that their financing is trash. They hand-wrote 3 options for payment on paper and said we could do 18 months same-as-cash financing as long as our credit score was over 650 (both are). A week later, Michelle from Financing called basically saying she's shopping banks to cover the balance (roughly $17K) but they would only cover $15K and that she wanted to shop more banks to cover the rest. We decided to just put more money down instead. She said we could have the additional $2300+ whenever they came to do the work (at that time, we had no idea when that would happen). Michelle was pleasant but passed the buck a lot saying things like 'I wasn't there when you signed up', 'I don't know what they told you but...', 'I don't know why they said that', etc. Insane. After the job was completed, the Leads reviewed what was completed, told us what to expect, and signed the final paperwork to activate the warranty. These people worked on my neighbors property, however they blocked my driveway with their vehicles for 5 days. On the 5th day I asked them to move and 2 of them proceeded to "mouth off" to me. I told them if they didn't move their vehicles I would call the police. Just because you are working on a property, doesn't give you the right to block someone's driveway. This property has 2 driveways so there was room for them to park, this contractor just didn't want to clear snow from the 2nd driveway. First of all, I want to thank EverDry for giving me a waterproof basement. The guys worked hard for 5 days and did such heavy, messy work. I can't imagine such hard labor for 5 days at my house and then, very soon, going on to another job that was just as physically taxing. Steve did a great job covering the floors and my belongings with plastic to make sure, every day, that everything was still covered. And whoever did the encapsulation underneath the steps going down to the basement did a stellar job. There was some tweaking to do with the rest of the encapsulation so they came back to work on it and now it looks great. They'll be coming back to smooth out the dirt and remove stones and pebbles underneath the front porch, the front lawn and around the perimeter of the house when the weather is more predictable. Matthew, the owner, was even kind enough to pay for boarding 2 of my kitties that would have gotten underfoot that week. The guys were here January 8-12. Unfortunately, the process of digging up and unplugging the down spout drain was not explained to me, whereby the run-off pipe could be connected to it, taking the water under the sidewalk and onto the street. Instead, the pipe was routed up the basement wall and connected to a pipe outside that they placed 10 inches or so underground, stopping at the edge of a small embankment overlooking the sidewalk. When the foreman showed me what had been done, I knew it wasn't right. I knew that water would spill out of the pipe, directly onto the sidewalk. The next morning, January 13, ice was covering a good part of the sidewalk and I had to call the City to quickly have 3 orange cones placed on the ice. I called a plumber and they came over immediately to have this corrected. The only thing that could be done was to reroute the sump pump line to the sewer drain, which is allowed where I live. As I stated, I didn't have it routed to the down spout drain as it had not been explained to me; I didn't know it had to be dug up and unplugged. A week later, Roy, the Project Manager, came up to assess all that had gone on. He made a list of all that needed to be done. I had a friend with me, a retired contractor, and he heard all that was said between Roy and me. I asked Roy to pay the plumber bill for rerouting the sump pump line to the main drain. He agreed to pay it and my friend will wholeheartedly vouch for that. Roy and I continued to talk about other issues, eventually summarizing what was discussed. I asked him again about the bill. I remember that he lowered his head, shut his eyes briefly, nodded yes and said yes, to confirm that he would pay the bill. I asked him if I should email the invoice to Matthew and he said, no, that he had a separate email address for the Service Department, which he gave me. I remember writing it on the paper I had in my hand. I emailed the invoice to him that same day, January 22, using the Service Department address. I would never have known to use that email address if Roy hadn't given it to me, I have the email to prove it. Therefore, I was surprised to receive a past due bill from the plumber. I sent an email to Accounting, Matthew and Roy, thinking that perhaps their payment and the past due bill crossed in the mail. Roy called me and stated that he never said he would pay the bill. I very nicely disagreed; I didn't want to argue. I was going to let it go entirely but it wouldn't be right if I did. I called and emailed Matthew this week to discuss, I still hope to hear from him. Roy also thought that I was asking him to pay to have the down spout drain dug up and unplugged. I never asked him to pay that and I would never expect him to do so; that is my responsibility. On February 2, when Matthew fully explained to me the procedure involving the down spout drain, I had the work done, EverDry came up February 19, connected it all, the run-off is going under the sidewalk and onto the street. I would like nothing better than to have the aforementioned bill paid and a good relationship with EverDry. read more

The folks from Everdry really helped our home! They helped us find a affordable price plan and came out to do the work in no time! The first day, there were 4 gentlemen. The second day, there were 5! All of them were very kind and professional. Everything in the rooms that they were working on was covered, to help not make things too messy.?They worked nonstop until the work was finished and were informative with every step they were taking, with logistics and what to expect. When they finished they cleaned up the mess and patched up a area outside with cement that they thought would be at future risk of damage. They even helped straighten the outside bricks to the basement entryway! Things like that really gave me confidence in their work. The basement looks great and the air freshening system they had put it has really made a deal of difference! They went above and beyond. DO NOT HIRE Everdry in Pittsburgh! To briefly explain my experience, I brought Everdry into my home in Dec. 2021 to address a small amount of water coming into my basement. With no construction experience, I trusted the salesman, Harry Klaus, when he informed me that I had a huge water problem behind my foundation. His recommendation was a $24K system to 'fix' this. As a single mother I was terrified not to accept his advice and agreed on the spot to a contract. Due to their busy schedule, my install date was not until April 2022. Meanwhile, I was able to determine that the water was not coming from my foundation but my radon system. It was repaired and my basement has been bone-dry since. When Everdry called to schedule in April I told them that my problem was fixed, the person I spoke to was understanding but only put in to delay my service because, due to personal reasons at that time, I was unable to engage in the stress of a cancellation discussion that I knew would become an upsetting argument. Fast forward to Aug. 2022, I called Everdry as I was now ready to fully cancel the unnecessary system that they PUSHED on me, only to be told that Harry would have to come out (again) to cancel. He did and said a portion of my deposit would probably not be refunded (the deposit is arbitrary...I provided an amount of my choosing; BIG regret.) No contact from them regarding refund for a month, so I called. After my 2nd call (1st call not returned,) I was told I'll be receiving a letter from their lawyer as to why $0 of my deposit will be returned. Being as busy as they are in taking 4 months to schedule my install, I am certain that nothing purchased for my system isn't being used elsewhere. I am sickened at how I was taken advantage of and now lied to; all for $2620. Sad company that preys on individuals that are trusting. I would not recommend Everdry to anyone. Their workers are slipshod and messy. They leave mud all over your property. I have been dealing with them for three years now and have had to call them back three times for leaks. And...beware the small print. They are not responsible for any damage their leaking might cause. My whole basement is bubbled and rusty but that is not their concern. First if they think you will not hire them, they will make an appointment with you, then call you the day of the appointment and cancel saying there was a family emergency with the sales person. Made the mistake of acknowledging that I had a spouse when setting up an appointment for an estimate. After that I was reminded several other times on the phone call that my spouse had to be present for the FREE estimate. I then received two confirmation calls as my appointment approached reminding me that my spouse had to be there for the estimate- big emphasis on the FREE like somehow they are providing you a gift. On the second appointment confirmation phone call I mentioned that my spouse may not be able to be there due to work. This was enough for the lady to demand an immediate reschedule. This was already the day of the appointment and I had already adapted my schedule. When I asked why my spouse absolutely had to be there, there was no why. Just scripted rambling. That was enough for me. Customer lost. I would love to know why Everdry of Pittsburgh is so concerned about having one's spouse present for the estimate when this is (as in my case) irrelevant to the ownership of the property. They refused to inspect the property or give me a quote on the work or the price without "all the home owners present" If they were the sub on the job and would be working for the trust ownership would they expect all the stakeholders to stop what they were doing to go look at a damp floor? Everdry tore up our carpet and the asbestos tile underneath. They did not tell us about the asbestos tile and just covered it up with the carpet after the job was done. Recently, the basement flooded (so much for EVERdry) and we discovered the disturbed tile. We called in a flooring pro who refused to fix it because the tile has been illegally disturbed. Not only will Everdry not fix any of the damage from the flooding, but they refuse to take responsibility for the illegal mishandling of the tile. Then they tried to claim we aren't paying our warranty although they keep cashing our checks. I am very concerned about the last 6 years we've spent exposed to asbestos due to their shoddy work. My husband and I met Everydry at the local home and garden show. We have some dampness issues in the basement that need taken care of and we scheduled for the company to complete an estimate for us. Upon receiving a reminder call from them the day prior, I was told that it was required that both of us be present for the free estimate to take place. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THEY TELL YOU WHEN SCHEDULING. I told Megan, the company rep, that I would have to check with my husband and get back to her. We agreed that that was an expectation that wouldn't work with our schedules. I called back to let them know that we would be moving forward with another company and, like most businesses, Megan attempted to "sell to the no". Upon declining a second time, I was informed that "They have hours from 9-5 daily" and that she "didn't understand how they could make things any more accommodating"; both in a snarky, annoyed and juvenile manner. Neither my husband nor myself work consistent work schedules, which makes expectations such as theirs hard to meet.
