Trust, the quality is all here. This was the best thing for us especially since we were in the area catching up with a few errands. Southeast G's chic, dark grey+black outside design is softened by flowers, the bar area has light wood flooring, large counter off to one side, tables and booths. The space honestly gives out an inviting atmosphere without feeling stuffy. There's also a dining area which faces the reservoir making it perfect for casual events/gatherings. The Tito's Raspberry Tom Collins called me. That sucker started refreshing and its strength soon crept up! My $16 salad with pan seared salmon was fantastic. The dressing was done simply in lemon+oil. Hubs' sliced hanger steak over potatoes, sautéed veggies and drizzled with an demi glace was his winning ticket- and at $20, he enjoyed it to the fullest. Unlike eateries with jacked up prices, this is a terrific all-in-one for us: fantastic prices+strong drink+tasty food. We really couldn't ask for more. These folks take their menu seriously. And by the way- our server Heather, was spot on and pleasant.

We had a delicious prix fixe VDay menu that was hands-down one of the best meals we've had in years. We are transplants from the city and felt like we were back in Brooklyn. Every bite was mouth-watering, from the salted butter and warm bread to the perfectly dressed beet and bitter green salad...to the delicious steak, halibut, and pots de creme and olive oil cake for dessert. What an absolute treat, made only better by the attentive and congenial waitstaff that made you feel like a regular. Oh, and the drinks - the mixologist at the bar created a perfect drink every time! And thanks for coming to say hello, Kaitlyn! Cannot recommend this place enough - do not let the strip mall locale deter you - this place is worth it in every way! It should be wall-to-wall waitlist every night - prepare to be delighted!

From the…read moremoment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by a wonderful young lady, which set the tone for the night. The place was busy, but the staff still made us feel completely taken care of. I'm usually not a fan of prix fixe menus and had my heart set on trying the Beef Wellington, but honestly, I didn't feel like I missed out at all. My filet and husbands lobster ravioli were both delicious, and the appetizers were just as impressive. Their wine selection was also really nice and paired perfectly with dinner. They were sold out of 2 of the bottles we initially requested so that speaks for itself ! We ended the night with a soufflé and a tart for dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish. Overall, such a great Valentine's dinner,we'll definitely be back! In addition to all that I was a huge fan of their fine China and wine glasses they were not only in pristine condition it was just so comforting to enjoy my food on beautiful plates. Good job to the owners/ restaurant's manager sometimes it's the smallest things people notice.

Kitchen needs to know how to stage food better when they are busy. We also enjoyed watching other customers being pissed off on the operations. Waiter was as nice as he could be considering how busy they were. The need to manage operations better. Disappointed with the fries. Too much oil and soggy. Lucs in Ridgefield is way better. I would avoid and we will not be back. Would also recommend the French restaurant in North Salem.

Immediately I went on the Yelp app to see the reviews and mostly all of them were positive except quite a few people complained about how long they waited for their food. Well, they were legitimate complaints. Me and my wife waited roughly 45 - 50 minutes for 2 egg platters. The part that upset me was the people that walked in after us and sat at the counter were served before us. Basically the cook (owner) served his normal customers first. If it wasn't for the long wait time I would've easily scored Bob's 5 stars but 45 - 50 minutes for eggs will deter me from going back.

The view as you can see from the photo is lovely, and you can see the commuter rail when it occasionally comes through. There is also a police station next door so you get a Birds Eye view when officers are getting off shift. Pancakes here are so good. I'd say 98% of breakfast places have pancakes that disappoint but not these. Since I wasn't sure, I let the kids order them instead since they will eat anything as long as there is maple syrup on it. We ordered them a short stack of blueberry pancakes to share and added on real maple syrup. They were golden and not too thick or heavy. They had to pay the "mom tax" of sharing some with me. My husband ordered eggs, home fries and bacon and the bacon was also perfectly done- something else that we don't often find. This place is charming, there was what sounded like some 80s post-punk playing softly, our server was charming (French accented too perhaps?) and we hope to be back some day!

The atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was attentive without ever being rushed. It gave us a great chance to really enjoy the space and the food. We started with the two-cheese crostini, which ended up being one of the highlights of the night. The bread was perfectly crisp, and the cheeses had just the right amount of richness without being heavy. I also tried their seasonal non-alcoholic Spiced Apple-Lini, and it was surprisingly delicious--refreshing, slightly sweet, and very "fall in a glass." For my entrée, I ordered the chicken Milanese, and I have to say it might be the best I've ever had. I'm usually very particular about chicken dishes, but the flavor and texture were spot-on. The breading was light and crispy, and the chicken itself wasn't dry at all. The plate came with a beautiful mix of seasonal vegetables--roasted squash, shaved fennel, cranberries, and arugula--topped with an apple cider vinaigrette that pulled everything together. It tasted fresh, balanced, and really thoughtful. We ended the meal with their cheesecake served with a house-made pistachio crème. The flavor was fantastic, especially the pistachio topping, which really made it unique. My only tiny note is that I personally prefer cheesecake a bit colder and denser rather than closer to room temperature, but that's purely personal preference and didn't take away from enjoying it. The owner also came by to chat with us, and he was incredibly friendly--clearly someone who cares about his guests and the quality of the experience. Between the great service, thoughtful menu, and inviting atmosphere, we're already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes. Definitely a strong addition to the Danbury dining scene.
