    Veggie Momo

Went here a second time and ordered lentil soup, tofu and spicy mixed veggie curry with brown rice, and garlic cilantro naan. Enjoyed the lentil soup and garlic cilantro naan most, but those were the sides and appetizers. The main entree of spicy mixed veggie and tofu curry with brown rice was not as impressive. There was no tofu in it and the flavor tasted like Louisiana hot sauce was thrown in. The brown rice also had a weird flavor. The service was quick. The place was clean. Although the spicy food had a nice kick, I wouldn't order spicy again because it changed the flavor of the meal.

I came by tonight with a group of 3 people at 5:45 pm. The restaurant was empty other than two other tables. We just stood at the door for a few minutes until anyone came out. After ordering, the food took awhile to come out. But once it did, everything was good. The least favorite was chicken Momo. A little dry . The eggplant/salmon curry tasted great. The spice had a kick but nothing where you felt you can't eat it. All of the naans were fluffy on the edges and crisp in the middle like a cracker. At around 7 pm, the restaurant was packed. All in all, good spot despite food taking awhile. Street parking only

Living in Napa, which already has great Indian cuisine, I still always prefer to make the drive up to Saint Helena for the amazing food at Himalayan Sherpa Kitchen. Indian is my favorite cuisine, and this place truly delivers. Their lunch plates are fantastic, though they're only available on weekdays for lunch. Just for my mom and me, we ordered the tikka masala with medium spice, a side of basmati rice, buttered naan, and a side of broccoli--which is a must have because it pairs perfectly with the masala sauce. The mango chutney is also a great addition for dipping your naan. This is the best Indian food I've ever had and definitely a must try!

The food was sooooo yummy, I love lamb and they cooked it perfectly. The service was accommodating and me and my friend had a great time. I highly recommend trying it out! (Especially the lamb dishes)

We were in Saint Helena and a chef from a nearby winery recommended this spot. It was 10 out of 10 delicious!! The chicken momo was spiced perfectly & has cilantro inside. They gave us a tomato sauce and a very spicy sauce to go with it. It was literally perfection. I wish I lived closer so I could eat there more often.

Nice find in St Helena. Combination of Indian and Nepal food. The tandoori and chicken tikka masala are very good. The dumplings has different seasonings so it is different than the othe dumplings. Nice friendly staff, you should call for reservation if you have a big group.

Chicken tikka masala is really good. Definitely go when they have their lunch menu because it's the bang for your buck. You get naan lentil soup and veges all included. We were disappointed when we realized on a weekend everything was a la carte. Great beer and wine pricing too which is hard to find in wine country. Staff is super nice and ambiance is great. The place fills up quickly as it's small. Definitely worth a visit

Small menu, but delicious! Tiny space decorated very cute and clean. Fast service and friendly staff. We showed up around 615 and by the time we left at 7pm the place was packed. Love that they had brown rice option for sides. Perfect spices very delicious and healthy!

    Is there a corkage fee?

I'm not 100% sure. Many places in St Helena are free corkage on Napa Valley wine so there is a good chance they do the same.

I can see why because their food is delicious. Fiancé and I got their momo platter (4 each of the veggie, pork and chicken momo), chicken kabob, and chicken thukpa (noodle soup). We have never had thukpa before and it was pretty good and warming. Perfect on a chilly night. Momos were juicy, and beautifully wrapped. The chicken kabob came out sizzling and was quite juicy. Their portion size is great. We even had some leftovers for next day. Service was fast and friendly. Was impressed there were just two people waiting tables/taking orders for a full house. Food came out quick and there were even a couple takeout orders while we were there so they definitely managed the flow quite well. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

That might not be a great thing though because the food just didn't have enough flavor for me. To be fair, maybe it's a difference between Indian and Himalayan food, I'm not really sure. I think it might work for people who would enjoy Indian cuisine if the flavors were more subtle. Service was friendly and everything was prepped well, it just wasn't for me. I wish I would have noticed the dumplings on the menu before ordering or that the staff would have pointed them out, because I would have liked to try them and I'm not sure if or when I'll be back.

Seating area was cozy and relaxing. Everything looked clean and in order. Ordered the samosa chaat and was out fairly quickly, was delicious and had a ton of flavors. Tried the Essence Lamb, best lamb I ever had. Meat was tender and absorbed all the Indian spices. Gravy was delicious and had to order naan to help absorb all that goodness to eat. Will definitely be coming back here as it was delicious. Also was advised to order Indian spicy, I orders spicy, but they ended up bringing me hot sauce and chili powder. A friend and I met here for lunch to celebrate her birthday and catch up. We arrived right at opening and had the place to ourselves for about an hour. Guests slowly trickled in closer to the lunch rush, but I was honestly surprised it wasn't packed -- because what they're serving deserves more buzz. We ordered the chicken tikka kebab, butter chicken, methi malai shrimp, and garlic naan. I'll admit, I was skeptical about the chicken tikka since I'm not usually a fan of chicken breast (hello, dryness). But this? Tender, juicy, well-seasoned, and paired beautifully with the mint sauce. A strong start. The butter chicken was slightly different from what I'm used to -- more red orange in color, clearly leaning into a stronger tomato base. Creamy, flavorful, and a bit brighter than the typical richer versions. Different, but still very good. And then... the methi malai shrimp. Wow. Just wow. This was new to me and absolutely the standout. The coconut-based sauce was rich without being heavy, beautifully balanced, and full of flavor. The shrimp were cooked perfectly -- tender, not rubbery, and not curled tight (which usually signals overcooking). This dish alone makes the 30-minute drive worth it. I've since checked menus closer to home hoping to find it elsewhere... no luck. The garlic naan was the perfect companion -- flavorful but not overpowering, ideal for scooping up every last bit of sauce from both dishes. Service deserves its own spotlight. The host/waiter was phenomenal -- attentive without hovering. Water glasses stayed filled, he checked in just enough, and at one point mentioned he didn't want to interrupt because it looked like we were deep in conversation. That level of awareness? Appreciated. Smaller, intimate setting. Thoughtful service. Well-executed food. If you're in Vacaville and craving Indian food, give this place a try. In my opinion, it absolutely holds its own -- and maybe even edges out the more "popular" spot in town. And yes, I'll be back for that methi malai shrimp.
