Chicken tikka masala w/Buttered Naan, Garlic Basil Naan Garlic and Basil spiced Naan.

I've wanted to go to this place for years when I was in college because I heard it was really popular, but I never got around to it so here I am. I came in and ordered the chicken tikka masala (spicy) w/basmati rice, garlic cilantro naan, garlic basil naan, and buttery naan. I also ordered a glass of riesling. The tikka masala was soo good. It was spicy and flavorful, but not too spicy to the point of being overwhelming. The rice that came with it also was pretty solid. All of the naan were yummy as well. When paired with the tikka masala, it's a match made in heaven. The service here was good also. Our waitress was kind, timely, and gave great menu recommendations. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The parking situation in this area can be a challenge depending on what time you go. Fortunately, I lucked out and was able to find a parking right in front of the restaurant. Try it out if you like. :)

I came by tonight with a group of 3 people at 5:45 pm. The restaurant was empty other than two other tables. We just stood at the door for a few minutes until anyone came out. After ordering, the food took awhile to come out. But once it did, everything was good. The least favorite was chicken Momo. A little dry . The eggplant/salmon curry tasted great. The spice had a kick but nothing where you felt you can't eat it. All of the naans were fluffy on the edges and crisp in the middle like a cracker. At around 7 pm, the restaurant was packed. All in all, good spot despite food taking awhile. Street parking only

Went here a second time and ordered lentil soup, tofu and spicy mixed veggie curry with brown rice, and garlic cilantro naan. Enjoyed the lentil soup and garlic cilantro naan most, but those were the sides and appetizers. The main entree of spicy mixed veggie and tofu curry with brown rice was not as impressive. There was no tofu in it and the flavor tasted like Louisiana hot sauce was thrown in. The brown rice also had a weird flavor. The service was quick. The place was clean. Although the spicy food had a nice kick, I wouldn't order spicy again because it changed the flavor of the meal.

Living in Napa, which already has great Indian cuisine, I still always prefer to make the drive up to Saint Helena for the amazing food at Himalayan Sherpa Kitchen. Indian is my favorite cuisine, and this place truly delivers. Their lunch plates are fantastic, though they're only available on weekdays for lunch. Just for my mom and me, we ordered the tikka masala with medium spice, a side of basmati rice, buttered naan, and a side of broccoli--which is a must have because it pairs perfectly with the masala sauce. The mango chutney is also a great addition for dipping your naan. This is the best Indian food I've ever had and definitely a must try!

The food was sooooo yummy, I love lamb and they cooked it perfectly. The service was accommodating and me and my friend had a great time. I highly recommend trying it out! (Especially the lamb dishes)

We were in Saint Helena and a chef from a nearby winery recommended this spot. It was 10 out of 10 delicious!! The chicken momo was spiced perfectly & has cilantro inside. They gave us a tomato sauce and a very spicy sauce to go with it. It was literally perfection. I wish I lived closer so I could eat there more often.

Nice find in St Helena. Combination of Indian and Nepal food. The tandoori and chicken tikka masala are very good. The dumplings has different seasonings so it is different than the othe dumplings. Nice friendly staff, you should call for reservation if you have a big group.

Chicken tikka masala is really good. Definitely go when they have their lunch menu because it's the bang for your buck. You get naan lentil soup and veges all included. We were disappointed when we realized on a weekend everything was a la carte. Great beer and wine pricing too which is hard to find in wine country. Staff is super nice and ambiance is great. The place fills up quickly as it's small. Definitely worth a visit

    Is there a corkage fee?

I'm not 100% sure. Many places in St Helena are free corkage on Napa Valley wine so there is a good chance they do the same.

After trying it I had to come back with my wife to share that experience. It's a crispy and savory appetizer that comes with a tamarind and mint juice that when combined is an experience itself. Both refreshing and comforting - it tastes like a healthy snack that is also a close comparison to texture of potato chips. We also ordered two naan and we each got butter chicken. They were delicious, flavorful, and filling. To celebrate Father's Day we each got a dessert. The saffron ice cream was super unique, and was enjoyable. The pudding was very tasty and was our preference. The ice cream we both felt was refreshing and not overly sweet. Our service was wonderful - reservation and they called to confirm (about 5 minutes before) and had us seated immediately. Our waiter checked on us often without being too frequent, a good balance of support. Ambiance is intimate - smaller indoor seating area of about 10 tables and you can see the staff the whole time. Clean and comfortable restaurant and great service. Highly recommend - and I'd recommend the naan, butter chicken, and pani puri (going to adventure out and try more when we come back again!)

The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure our large group was taken care of throughout the meal. Vibes are ok. Don't expect a fancy setup. The pricing was fair for the amount of food we received. A 15% gratuity was included, and for a party of 7 our total came to about $206. I had called to see if they would be open on July 4th, and they actually called me a few hours later after checking with the owner and they confirmed, yes they would be open regular hours. He is most positive, friendly and conscientious He keeps an eye on all the diners, removing plates, replacing water for the table with a new chilled bottle, and he keeps a close eye on all the buffet items and communicates with the chef when something needs replenishing. The food is, therefore, hot, fresh and incredibly delicious. The one thing we really appreciated is they offer brown and white rice. We much prefer brown rice so that was another positive along with fresh greens. They provide the table with a huge order of fresh naan bread when you first sit down too. The buffet items were prepared with much love and care and all six of us had the most wonderful meal. The interior is clean and inviting. Our server quickly cleaned tables as soon as a guest left so the place looked orderly and inviting. I give big kudos to our sweet server who played a major role in the five star rating. Inside the restaurant there is a calming feeling as they were playing slow Hindu chanting music low on their sound system. The first server We began with was very young and maybe learning the menu still as he was really not that good at answering questions on the menu. As soon as we checked in on Yelp, suddenly service picked up. Another more experienced server brought us first, hand towels to wipe out hands (a nice touch, but the towels were almost cold when he brought them, was it an after thought?); and he also brought us complimentary cups of dal that were very tasty. The dishes we got were saag lamb, butter chicken, and organic channa masala, and garlic buttered Naan. Had our first server known how to describe menu better we may have chosen a few different items. He did recommend the butter chicken as one of his favorite so that's why we got it as we often enjoy it other places as well. It was very good, a classic with great sauce, probably the favorite dish. The saag lamb was good too, but we almost got the patak lamb, similar sounding dish but maybe creamier/ other veggie too? But our first server could not really describe difference well. I'm thinking we may have enjoyed the other dish better than saag lamb which was good, but felt the spinach was extremely over cooked, and so finely chopped almost like it was highly minced or powdered? But it was flavorful. The Channa Masala was on the dry side. We we're trying to decide on a saucy vegetable dish and we asked about this dish because we liked that it said organic. That same first server said it was saucy, but not that saucy. Each dish comes with your choice of white or brown rice, or steamed veggies. Two dishes we got brown rice with, and the third we got steamed veggies because we thought there would be more sauce overall to add them too. The rice was allot ( took quite a bit home); the veggies were this nice mix, but so boring with no taste, and what a waste. The veggies even had water floating in bottom of dish. It would be so much nicer if there were an option to have these lightly stirfried with a little flavor as an option ( they were completely bland) , and there was really not enough saucy stuff to add them to so only partially eaten, left remaining there on table instead of taking home with other stuff. We asked for a sample of their side sauces and we got a tiny (like a tablespoon each?) 3 dish sampling of their very tasty homemade mango sauce, tart and tangy cilantro mint sauce, and some sweeter tamarind sauce. But they were very tiny amounts. The Naan was light and crisp, very nice, but could barely taste garlic butter. We asked for our dishes to be medium heat and it was fairly mild for us still, but i guess with American palate, spicy can be relative. But oh well. We also had cups of chai (under $5.00) that had refills, and a glass of house white wine ( Murphy good Sauvignon Blanc was only $8.00 so that was a deal). I'm giving 4 stars for their efforts, but hope they read this so they can improve a few things.
