I finally got out of the house early enough to get some pancit malabon and diniguan…read more Both were totally worth it, probably my favorite spot to grab Filipino food in Vallejo! Love how flavorful both dishes are.

The veggies looked fresh. The line for food isn't too long of a wait. I watched as they packed the food to see if they pack as much as the other location. The lady who assisted me packed generously to the people she helped ahead of me. So of course I'm here thinking they do pack as much as the other location. But when it came to me, it wasn't even close. The palabok was packed where the container actually closed with ease. Same with the Kare Kare and Laing. The bihon pancit barely overflowing. If you check out the other photos of other reviewers, you'll know what I mean. And that's how the people ahead of me had their orders packed. I guess that server just picks and chooses who she wants to overpack for. I find that unfair. She looked the youngest out of the four ladies working. I spent practically $60 for what I got. Guess I'm better off going to Suisun city since I've never had been shaded on. The only good customer service I experienced was the sweet lady at the register who rung me up. She was pleasant and convinced to grab dessert. She's pretty much the reason I'm giving at least three stars for this review. The food was good, but probably would taste better if my experience was more positive. Only thing was the noodles in the palabok was a little overcooked. Good thing I got dessert cause the maja was exactly what I was expecting and enjoyed every bite. Other than that, I don't think I'll be wasting my time heading out to this location anytime soon. Took almost an hour to get here to begin with and had that experience as a first impression. I'd rather drive another ten miles to Suisun city.

Ok folks, no more driving all the way to Berkeley for Indian groceries. This little gem of a store…read moreis legit, and should really be patronized as much as possible! I poked my head in for the first time today, a bit shameful of me as I am a resident of Hercules and I like to cook Indian food. Major selling points for me: 1. FRESH CURRY LEAVES in the refrigerated items. I could stop here, but let's continue... 2. Large variety of common-in-Indian-cuisine types of dals/lentils/legumes, flours (including Barley flour, and other common flours for all the different types of Indian breads), spices both common and specialized (ie. Kashmiri Chili Powder, Asafoetida, etc), Popular basmati brands (Daawat - both Traditional & Ultima, Royal Authentic, and others)... 3. Freezer section has coconut, drumstick vegetable, pre-made breads and other common items found in Indian grocery stores. 4. NO EXPIRED ITEMS that I picked up and checked, and believe me, I went looking for them. Having expired items on the shelf at any grocery store is such a huge turnoff for me, and this store had within-expiry date products, and a very nice and helpful employee actively restocking the shelves while I was there. Very good sign! 5. They had common British sweets at the counter, such as Cadbury Flakes. Maybe a little too convenient! :) Today when I went, they had fresh Fenugreek leaves and guavas in the front of the store on display. I was told they had some mango and guava pastries in the back (I passed this time, but will seek the pastries out in the future). I have a feeling they probably have different fresh items as they happen upon them if they are good quality and are in season. All in all, I can't think of anything that other bigger Indian grocery stores have that this little store didn't. Great variety and well stocked! Sarab and Jessica were very nice and helpful employees, and they happily got my business today. I look forward enthusiastically to continuing to patronize their wonderful little store. Thank you KS, lucky to have you in Hercules!

Super pillowy steamed bun with ube halaya/jam in the center! Great cozy snack. I also tried the chicken asado one; eh, it was alright as the chicken filling was a little too gloopy for my liking. Anyway, yes this mart is ***fantastic*** if you're looking for hard-to-find Asian food goodies. This mart advertises the ability of customers to request specific items to be sold here, and the owners evidently are receptive to such requests (I mean, there's a freezer corner just dedicated to fruit-shaped ice cream lol). Also, I appreciate that interior-wise it's just an old-school bodega-style mart lol nothing overly trendy like j-pop/k-pop blaring in the store. Good shopping experience for me. :p No fuss with lot parking at all when I visited on an early afternoon Sunday.

Most recently, we had a 10% off coupon that stated in large writing it expired in 7 days, only to be told there was a different expiration date hidden in much smaller print. We were only a few hours past the cutoff, and instead of offering any understanding or trying to help, the staff argued about it. Most companies with decent customer service would honor something like that. As someone with 15+ years in customer service, it's disappointing to see an establishment with so much potential fall so short in this area. The staff comes across as cold, monotone, and uninterested in helping customers. To make matters worse, there seems to be little to no manager or lead support available to assist with bigger issues. Unfortunately, the customer service here has been a zero every time I've visited.
