TLDR; go with David and his team. This is our second move with him and he has gone above and beyond again. Note that all those one star reviews you see ARE NOT his company. It's a different company and it's really sad that they're getting impacted for something that's no fault of their own. I have high expectations and trust me when I say that David is the best when it comes to moving. This is my second time moving with David and I'm crying right now because David and Cesar both did such an amazing job with my move. Moving is so stressful, but they were both so sweet and personable. I had so many good conversations with David and you can tell he treats your stuff well and takes his job seriously. I kept telling him to leave stuff and not to worry about wrapping some of my furniture, but he said he can't do that because he wants to make sure all of my stuff is protected. I did such a bad job with protecting my stuff and honestly was fine with it getting damaged as a part of the move, but David went above and beyond to make sure everything was wrapped properly and got to its final destination without any issues. The amount of time they save you, I can't believe the rates they charge. It's so low when you think about all the work that goes into moving. I wouldn't trust anyone else except David with my move. I highly recommend David for your moving needs. The job was to move a very heavy chair up 1 floor. David responded quickly on Yelp, provided the most reasonable estimate, came the same day, and with herculean-strength picked up the chair and moved it upstairs. I got new Staples chair which was delivered downstairs and the box was pretty heavy. Since I recently had lower back surgery, I was advised against picking up heavy things as I live on the 2nd floor. Used Everest Moving during our recent move from the Campbell area to North San Jose area. Communication was always fast, and David was very accommodating when I had to switch the move date to one day earlier. On the day of the move, David gave an estimate arrival time of 1pm-2pm. He showed up at 2:45pm and quickly got to work with his men. For a one bedroom 630sqft apartment, and everything in boxes, it took 6 hours to complete from loading to unloading. This was also with three men. I felt like this was a little long, but considering that they had to wrap furniture and tv's, they were moving pretty quickly from what I saw. Pricing is definitely competitive and nothing broke. So I call this a successful move. Although I do feel super bad that one of there dolly's was stolen from the complex during the loading stage. Goes to show that even a neighborhood you think is safe, isn't always the case. I recommend Everest Moving. read more

If I could give a negative rating I would!!! they are a company that is scamming people. Their quote increased over 50%, by the time they arrived to pack my things. They know you need to move so you have no choice but to pay. it is a complete scam, they didnt send a truck big enough. I had to give things away, sell thing, leave things and had to move my entire truck full of things. Yep, still had to move things myself after being scammed out of 5k over the initial quote! They played up caring about disabled Veterans, then gouged the price back and I hurt myself while having to move my stuff they should have moved. If that was not enough, they lost the legs to my dinning table and several things are damaged. I have to replace items I had to give away or sell real cheap in the rush to move before my home closed. It sickens me to think they are running this scam on people with disabilities and those elderly in our society. it should be a crime for how they operate. They will need to correct their wrong, because I will pursue it much further. read more

He was so pleasant on the phone and I felt at ease after talking to him. I had to call him a week before the move date to cancel due to an unforeseen circumstance and he was understanding of the situation and was so kind. I called him again to reschedule the move (this time with storage) and he was flexible and accommodating to my needs. This was my third move with movers and the last two companies I gave 5 stars. We chose Everest Moving because they had the lowest cost for 3 movers of the movers who had good Yelp ratings. We called them and they seemed happy to be flexible. We had them pack half of our belongings (we already packed half). They said they would be flexible in using whatever packing materials and boxes we had and bought some extra stuff just in case (bubble wrap and brown paper). When they arrived they informed us we would only get two movers at a higher hourly rate per person, it was their standard fair but more per hour than we would've paid with 3. They also informed us they preferred specific packing materials and needed bigger boxes so I had an unexpected errand to run. They told me many times that packing took longer than expected even though he asked me to buy 40 boxes, I bought 20, and they only used 11. We bought them pizza for lunch because it was taking longer and it was a hot day. The workers seemed to enjoy the pizza which we were happy they did as we know moving is exhausting. This length was especially frustrating because my wife was 6 months pregnant and we took out the air conditioner to move but she had to wait. A third mover thankfully arrived after three hours, but it was about an hour before we drove, which meant we paid double-time for him during the drive. They made a pit stop (for an agreed price) to pick up some patio furniture we found which we were grateful for. This we could not have done without them. We labeled the boxes we packed and gave them a map of the house so they would know where to put them, they also labeled the boxes they packed. They refused to look at it saying it was too much to remember (it is a 3 bedroom 1 bath house we moved to). My wife also put up labels on each door to make it easy. Still, they kept putting labeled boxes wherever they felt unless my pregnant wife was there to direct every box. During the move, I was constantly asked if we wanted to move everything (seriously I was asked about 20 times). They asked about a bulky armoire around 5 times - finally, after moving it they dropped it and put a large scratch in the armoire. They didn't apologize they just argued with each other about whose fault it was. They also noted that they broke a mirror to which I thought - no big deal it happens. Then they told me that they did not wrap it up and simply hung it from the door without securing it. They paid us for the mirror but left it for us to dispose of. I know it is my job to double-check if everything was packed. I signed off without checking thoroughly, and unfortunately, that was a mistake. We found all of the medicine cabinet not packed, all of our plates, bowls, and a few of favorite storage containers in the cupboards were left behind. We tipped the movers in the end because I know they still worked hard and it the cost of living is tough in the bay area. While unpacking we found a lot of odd surprises. They packed our bleach (which I'm pretty sure is illegal) upside down in our box with other non-cleaning items. We had a metal wedding picture which they bent to get into a box, part of the backing off of our first professional family photo was torn, and they we weren't informed about any of these things. He returned $300 of the money out of his own pocket to keep me, as the customer, satisfied. 4 stars just because I had to go through this. __________________________________________________ MAIN COMMENT: I moved from a 1 bedroom in Mountain View to a 1 bedroom in SF. It took them 9 hours 15 minutes and they charged in $1300. ($120 per hour for two workers) Everything was packed in 22 boxes before the movers arrived and all they had to do was: Move 22 boxes, 1 bike, 2 sofas, 1 bed, 1 dresser, 2 TV stands with their TVs and a coffee table. The two workers were working in separate rooms and whenever I walked in on them they were on their phones!! Then they kept telling me how they're taking care of it and they are working as fast as they can. I would not recommend working with them or at least get them to commit to some price by showing them the place. I ended up moving boxes and light weight items just to get it done faster ... David and team were prompt, responsive, communicative, and friendly. They moved my 2br condo and a small carport storage to my new place quickly and efficiently... including breaking down and reassembling my bed and a heavy dining room table. Before they left they made absolutely sure I was ok with where everything had been placed and offered to move anything that I might need in a different location. They even plugged my bedroom lamp in for me behind a heavy dresser so that I wouldn't have to try to do it myself later. Very thoughtful! I truly cannot say enough good things. If you are looking for hardworking and trustworthy movers, stop looking any further and call Everest Moving. I have used them twice for out of state moving from CA to WA. The first move was (I believe) a 26 foot truck and the second move was in a 17 foot truck. First Contact - When I first started looking for movers and I had initially reached out to 5 movers with great ratings on Yelp. David at Everest Moving was quick to respond and quickly set up a walk through of our house to give us an estimate. This process was quick and thorough unlike some of the other companies who took forever to respond and gave quotes, only to go back and forth with the price and play email tag. Since our move was out of state, there were many moving parts to it. We also had other big items in a storage facility in Campbell that had to be picked up after all the items from our home in Sunnyvale. Some of the other moving companies wanted to charge extra for the pick up at the second location and kept adding extra fees to their original quote. David made this process pretty painless. Moving Day (Tues in CA) - David arrived with his team and they quickly got to work. They were very careful with all of our items. They even wrapped an old sofa into a plastic burrito treating it like it was brand new. When I mentioned to David that he didn't have to be so careful with some of the older items he responded "Everything you own will be handled as if it were your treasure". The honesty in him and his team is praise worthy too. You would be surprised as to how many items and loose change you can find hiding underneath and inside furniture when moving. ALL items including money was put into a bag and given to me at the end. After they packed all our items from our home in Sunnyvale we drove onto the storage unit in Campbell. There they continued to work through the heat. Their work ethic and reluctance to eat or take a break was humbling. Move In (Thurs in WA) - We flew into WA on Wednesday and by Thursday morning David was already at our new home in WA, ON TIME! It was such a relief when David opened the back of the truck and I saw all of our items unmoved and safe in place. Again they took extra care not to scratch or damage our furniture and our new home. Moving is really stressful but David was very accommodating and always tried his best to match our schedule and time frame. We had Everest Moving do two moves for us from CA to WA and both times were great. The comparative price point was the best but most of all there were no hidden or added costs to the original quote. As I mentioned earlier all of our belongings were handled with the utmost care and carefully placed in the designated new rooms. David and Leo moved us from Mountain View to San Luis Obispo and did a great job. For the all day move of a one bedroom apt, and packing the day before, I paid $2665, which was the lowest quote of about 10 people I called. My move was being reimbursed by work so it didn't factor too much into my decision. The great communication and responsiveness is why I decided to go with David. I am glad I did. He was super flexible and accommodating. The packing took all day the day before so I am so glad I paid extra for it. Well worth the extra cost for the ease. My move was a bit more of a pain because some items were staying in the apt, which probably made it confusing as to what stays and goes. Even so, David and Leo were fast and professional at all times. We have a LOT of stuff and they were able to pack it all in about 8 hours, and provide packing materials. I am also fully unpacked, and can say confidently that nothing is missing or damaged. Everything is in great condition, with a few expected nicks and scratches here and there. A few wine glasses didn't make it, but they weren't expensive. I wish I could have paid extra for them to unpack but alas, they don't do that. Also, our new house was being painted and the painters were in there working as the movers were moving. Not an ideal situation for anyone. David and Leo were super careful and we saw no dents or scratches on the walls/trim after the move. This was really important to us, and I appreciate them being so careful. read more
