Decided to stop in at Evergreen Brewery because we wanted some mountain fresh air with good beer and food. We found the beer menu to have some good options with stouts, pale ales, and more. The beers ran a little higher abv. We tried the pretzel bites, with a star of the show being the beer cheese dip. We also split the Reuben and burrata bomb for our main meal. The Reuben was good though a bit on the saltier side, we enjoyed the burrata but would say that actually needed more salt. The blackberries were fresh and delicious. Service is simple with ordering downstairs and receiving a pager when food is ready. Being here on a Friday afternoon, it was very busy and pretty loud upstairs where we were able to find a seat. Fun atmosphere for the size of Evergreen itself. They have pool upstairs. The staff are extremely friendly. They have lots of TV's. They do provide some healthy options on their menu, which is a nice surprise, considering that's it's a brewery. It would be great to see a turkey burger or teriyaki Chicken sandwich with pineapple on the menu, along with the option for sweet potato fries or waffle fries. This place has incredible food and fantastic beer! Apparently the menu has been updated and it is amazing!!! I had some hazy IPA, the tomato bisque and a fantastic interpretation of a French dip I would not have ordered if it weren't for an adamant recommendation by the bar tender. He was right. I was very excited when the brewery came in because it had so much promise. Funky rooftop location across from Bergen Peak, fresh beers on tap & brewed locally/on-site... it could be such a great place. The food menu is interesting, and that's not intended to be a criticism. There are some creative options on the menu but sadly, no burgers. (Seems de rigueuer for a brewery, but apparently not.) It's just that the staff has always clearly wanted to be anywhere else, doing anything else. Patrons are clearly seen as burdens to endure, not friends to welcome. Skip it. Plenty of better options for a cold pint. Lariat Lodge, and even El Rancho are better choices. read more

Beer is really tasty and unique flavor. The location was busy for a Sunday due to football but lots of available seating. Tried the veggie plate which came with hummus, spinach and red pepper dip. Only down side was not enough veggies to dip mostly pickled veggies and some cucumbers. Able to request more veggies which they were happy to provided! Stopped here after a hike nearby on a Saturday (appears most of the people there just came from a hike) and we were so surprised with how awesome this place is. First off the beer is great, lots of selection and great flavors. The patio was a great addition and we really enjoyed it, they even have a window on the side where you can order and grab your food/drink even ready. Best of all I think was the food. SO GOOD! Menu was pretty expansive, we couldn't decide what to get but decided on the reuben (thanks to all the yelp reviews raving about it!) and a side of slaw. All super tasty, fresh. They also had a full bar and a few cider options. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious. Both the turkey club and the BLT were on super fresh and toasty bread. Ingredients were fresh and the bacon was perfectly crisp. The chicken tortilla soup was also pretty good. Minus one star for the French dip which was made with shredded/pulled beef instead of sliced roast beef. Interesting take, but the beef in mine was very chewy, dry and hard. Felt possibly old? We also ordered the key lime pie which was actually a plate filled with Graham Crackers with what seemed like a pre-made hockey puck sized frozen lime tart and a similarly sized scoop of ice cream. My go-to brewery after hiking in Evergreen. Beers are really good and the food is pretty good, too. This trip, I had a flight of the Brut Springsteen, Black Chai porter, Da Juicebox, and Tiffany Amber Theissen. I really liked them all! The IPA's have great hop and the chai porter was really good (tasted really good after a late morning hike.) I know you shouldn't be drinking beer in the morning, but the chai porter went really well early in the day. That being said, I think Da Juicebox was my favorite - super refreshing and the perfect amount of hops! We sat inside this weekend, but I've sat outside before and the views are very pretty! The Spicy Ahi Crunch Wrap was very refreshing on a warm day and the Ahi was done just right! My Aprihot sandwich was pretty tasty as well with a nice kick from the habanero pepper jelly. I came here after a snowshoeing expedition with a group. I wasn't sure what to expect. And that was a good thing. There is a strong beer lineup with lots of options from low ABV to high. I tried the cream ale (tangerine cream) and it was fantastic. But not only was the beer good, they had a great food menu. A charcuterie board was an option. The soup looked incredible. A friend ordered the thai butternut squash soup which looked phenomenal. I'm not a fan, but the brewery has oysters and those that ordered them were skeptical, but enjoyed them immensely. I was impressed that there were vegan and vegetarian options as well. I had a french dip because why not? My sandwich was fantastic. But if it's busy, be prepared for a wait. I love a brewery that also offers food because if you're drinking, I think you should have food to help with the alcohol consumption. read more

We came in on a super busy day and were unable to get a seat, but we left happy and returned at a later date because on this particular visit one of the owners made it a point to strike up a conversation with us as we were leaving. First of all he apologized for there being nowhere to sit, which he didn't need to do and we weren't mad at all. Secondly, he gave us a few recommendations of others local places we could go instead that wouldn't be so busy. That experience really left an impression on us.
