No ask was too much, kindness, incredbile follow through and attention to details we hadn't thought about made the sudden loss of our loved one doable. Levi, in particular went above and beyond for our family. Levi treated our loved one who suddenly passed away like his own family member. Levi took the time to get to know our loved one, took the time to get to know us and made sure we had every single thing we needed and more. We had a budget and Levi worked with us within our budget, accomodated our asks and the service was outstanding from beginning to end. These are stressful and emotional situations and we were never rushed or felt pressured to make decisions we struggled with. Levi and his team were compassionate and caring. A total clown show. Over-promise and under deliver. Calls not returned, overcharged the catering. We are still trying to get our overcharge-amount back. No single point of contact throughout the process. It's more of a "who do we have available today. Everyone that works there should listen to their own on-hold telephone message and ask themselves whether they meet their promises. read more

My Norwegian family who were pioneers are buried in the old section by the Rucker tomb. The cemetery is gorgeous and very park like and friendly. The grounds are tucked just off the 5 freeway. Lots of history in this location and the surrounding city. Great weekend project to explore and poke around in cemetery and historic Everette. read more

This place only adds additional sorrow to a hurting mother's heart. I called for my dear friend who after carrying her precious son, sadly miscarried at 14 weeks. She wanted to find a way to honor his memory and I was trying to help. She decided to cremate him so I found this place. At 14 weeks there is no legal paperwork, the State of Washington, like many states not counting her son as anything more than a fetus (I now despise this word) since he was under 20 weeks gestation. And at this stage of pregnancy we are talking about a baby that is smaller than the size of a child's hand. This place had no problem reassuring my friend they could do it. For the exorbitant price of $625! Just for the cremation, the urn or memorial necklace and all the other stuff would be 'additional fees'. No cost is too much to help soothe a mother's hurting heart but that was a ridiculous price, so I called up - sure she had misheard or the director had misunderstood the situation. After all I can cremate my huge dog for less than $200, so surely this was a simple miscommunication. I get the same director who gives me some song and dance bullshit about regulations and laws and internal control. When I point out that according to the State of Washington there are no laws, or licenses required I get stammering I'm sorry but those are our fees crap. So I call up their competition, I'm not going to make my friend sit through this kind of heartbreak again, Solie Funeral Home not only could do it for a reduced price, (almost a third of the original quoted price), they knew of a foundation that might be able to take the cost to zero. I will never use this funeral home for anything. If this is how they help a hurting mother how can I trust them with any of my loved ones. read more

Evergreen Funeral Home & Crematory was the default funeral home that the nursing facility where my mom died has on record. Without having seen any other funeral homes, they would seem like the perfect place to do business with... which by the was just that... you are a Business to them. We were given their rates and having seen them we decided to look at other funeral homes and this is when we realized how relatively higher their rates are (-about 3X that of the funeral home we chose.) On the day of my mom's death we went to them, and without even signing the package, it almost feels like they took advantage of my grieving father into signing an authorization to embalm my mom's body. We found out the next day from our selected funeral home that Evergreen's rate is almost 3X their price. To avoid any hassles, we went and settled the fees for the embalming - for $1300 which included the transport fee from the SNF to Evergreen (-discounted from $600 down to $300). I asked the staff why their rate is 3X higher and if they are using special embalming materials or process. Levi proceeded to indicate that they have a very nice (recently renovated) facility and that they have to pay their employees... really? Like I indicated earlier, it is just plain business. We would have paid almost $15000 with Evergreen. With our selected funeral home we paid $5400 and we were not sold any service or items we did not need. I would recommend looking at other funeral homes before considering Evergreen. read more
