If you go to the one star reviews you will get a pretty good picture of this nursery, those depict it better than the others. I have never felt welcome, no one ever greets you and the employees are very rude, more if you have kids with you. My kids love plants and anyone who doesn't welcome my kids doesn't deserve my business. Not that loosing one customer will effect them at all, but I will not be going back. read more

Okay this place is super bomb dot com. They have soooooooo many succulents here like it's crazyp.like trust me if you think lowes has a lot this place is better. :) They had pretty decent sized string of dolphins here for around 20 bucks which if you didn't know is a freaking steal. Which means they also carry hard to find plants. Basically if you are in the fresno area and want to do houseplant and succulent shopping come here. Most of these other places are more outdoor garden plant thingys. The entrance is confusing and a bit hidden but they have a sign to help direct the flow of traffic into the lot. Honestly it also looks old chic gardens which is totally my kind of vibe. Most of the plants here look healthy and well cared for. The ppl that work here or own it also are super kind and helpful. They make real conversations instead of small talk and I didnt feel weird bugging them at all. These ppl enjoy working here which is a plus. I'm def coming here when I'm in town again. read more

I was recently introduced to Succulents by my neighbor. I started looking at Etsy to find unique colorful ones. One day I searched for succulents in Fresno/Clovis and came across this nursery. When I showed up, I was surprised to see how many beautiful unique colorful succulents they have. I am now addicted to visit this nursery on weekly bases. I've been to other ones and they have less collections and even wet, gooey plants but not this nursery. Wow. What a find. Definitely the best nursery that I've been to in the Clovis/Fresno area. The selection is overwhelming. Even in the temperate Fresno summer, I somehow managed to spend an hour just browsing, trying to decide on a single plant (basically not possible). Whatever you want, most likely they have it. For the trendy indoor gardener: fiddle leaf figs, snake plants, split leaf philodendron, any variety of pothos. For the citrus lover, they have all the citrus: lemon, orange, Buddha hand, kumquat. And of course, for the succulent people out there, don't worry. they have ALL the succulents. Good luck choosing one. And plenty of potting options. Love the selection of plants here! If you're looking for a particular plant , you're probably going to find it here! This place is huge! They have house plants, succulents, rare plants, outdoor plants it's pretty amazing! They also sell pots for indoor and outdoor plants as well. The staff here is really friendly and super knowledgeable and if they don't know they will refer you to someone who can answer your questions. The nursery is clean and inviting, many people were here even on a hot day and practicing social distancing. Definitely going to come back in the future! read more

Evergreen is my go-to place for the yard. I've always had excellent help picking out plants for various locations including the dreaded southern exposure. Enrique has a great sense of humor and his recommendations always do the trick. My little leaf olives, dwarf lemon trees, junipers and vincas have done very well. The entire staff and owner are so knowledgeable and good at helping me put together combos of plants that look stunning in my containers and balcony baskets. Edit: Thank you for your apologetic response! I have since gone in and had a better experience. Enrique rang me up for my plants and has given better vibes! Never understood why this place had several "rude comments". I used to come here every week until I witnessed how rude the obnoxious laughing male employee was to another customer. There was a customer with her child picking out a plant, minding her own business, deciding between a couple of plants. The employee says very rudely "oh cmon they're all the same!!!". Mind your own business!!! It was not busy at all where she was holding up the area. She was not bothering you whatsoever. And if you really know plants like you should, you would know that no 2 plants are exactly the same. You can clearly tell she was embarrassed. Left 2 stars up for the rest of the nicer employees. Note to that rude employee: Work on making your customers feel good about their purchase and you'll stop receiving low rating reviews. You're welcome! read more

Visiting Evergreen Garden Center is like visiting Heaven! The nursery is so well organized with a wide variety of plants that are all thriving. (Plants that are in an unattractive state are relegated to the "Ugly Section" - LOL - if you are interested in nursing them bak into health). There is also a wide variety of lovely pottery and statuary for every kind of landscaping. Last year I purchased a hanging gong bell with a rich resonant melodious tone that is so soothing, almost like being in a monastery. They also have smaller quantities of grass seed available during the proper season, if a huge sack is not needed or wanted. The staff, of course, is WONDERFUL, HELPFUL, AND UPBEAT. read more

We were greeted right away upon arrival. A kind gentleman showed us where the Japanese Bloodgood trees were at and helped us select one. He also assisted with selecting some flowers that could withstand the winter weather. We went in and checked out. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. They even loaded the tree, plants and soil for us. They went above and beyond an laid out some plastic so the tree wouldn't make a mess in the car. Great nursery. They have plenty of space where they have placed a great variety of offerings. When I entered the nursery I was immediately offered assistance, but I realized that either intentionally or not, they waited until we finished our conversation. Two months ago I purchased two $45 rose bushes. They looked very nice in the pots planted with soil a very friendly woman helped me. One week later during a windy winter rain the two bushes fell apart and the three shoots that had buds ready to bloom broke off. I have never had a rose bush from a nursery break and fall apart in any wind at any level in the Central Valley. I returned to Evergreen Nursery to see if the owner would consider any kind of Exchange or offer to replace the plants. I showed him pictures and he said that he could not do anything to help me. He did not offer any kind of discount on future purchase and was rude. He was even offended that I asked for consideration. He made fun of me. As I drove away I asked him why he would not even consider discounting a future purchase to keep me as a customer and he yelled at me through my car window and made fun of me. Today one of my customers told me they took their family to his Nursery. I told my customer this story many weeks ago. They shopped there yesterday and the owner, not knowing these were my friends/customers could not stop his negative railing about my desire for replacing my damaged roses. I can never recommend any kind of a business that complains and berates other people to the level that this owner does of people that spent their money in his store and then he won't back up his products. Do not buy anything from this Nursery. Now he has lost more customers. read more

I love coming to Evergreen. It's hard to find water plants in stock and they usually have the lettuce Lillie's that my koi fish love. They have a great selection of succulents, houseplants, and tons of outdoor plants and trees. They offer a large array of pots and garden decor. I bought 5 rose trees. They were $50 each. All were infected with beetles. Before the owner responds. Beetles were only on the rose bushes, and no existing plants. We have been treating these trees, and decided to treat all our roses, which is becoming costly. I did not mention this, because I don't want a confrontation. This Spring I bought a Cora Cora orange tree from Willow Gardens nursery. I was concerned because it's not readily growing. It's just staying alive. I went in and spoke to Tanner. That man is knowledgeable about his citrus trees! He did such a great job in steering me toward a path that will hopefully help my tree to really thrive. In fact, an employee at another local nursery referred me to them when I told him I was looking for succulents. Been here a handful of times and always leave with at least a couple of plants. Great place for both indoor and outdoor plant lovers! They are currently having a 50% sale on all indoor plants that are not 100% striving. I found a few plants that I know I can revive. Other indoor plants that were on sale were in pretty bad shape. The owner said that a few changes are happening so the store is being rearranged and moved around. I am hoping when everything is finished they will receive more rare indoor plants! A few plants were overpriced but that's common at nurseries. read more

Love going to this place. I'm not local but stop by whenever I'm in town. They have a lot of great succulents. Very good selection and lots of not so common varieties. If you love succulents, you need to come visit this place. This has the best selection in the area and well taken care of. Prices are also very reasonable. A large selection of plants. I visited from out of the area looking for succulents, cactus or agaves. The nursery did not disappoint. They had ocatillos, large selection of barrel cactus, many varieties of agaves a good selection of smaller succulents. I even found medusa euphorbia plant there. I love this place, I discovered it a few months back. It is almost hidden as the park across the street draws your there. I have been here many times. They have an excellent succulent selection. I love their sale area, the half dead plants final chance at a good home. I bought a sage today, half off. It has new growth, so I am very hopeful. I have bought several succulents from them and they have all flourished, even the ones from the sale area. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. They have a succulent expert on site.
