    Mushroom Mutter
    Daisy T.

Ordered my food to go. Customer service was great. My food was amazing. My favorite dish was the Mushroom mutter. I could have had another order of that. I ordered mango chutney since I like it on some of my vegetable pakora. The vegetable pakora comes with its own sauce I just did not order extra of it. I have had better. The vegetable samosa are delicious and have a sauce that it comes with that make it taste even better. But again did not get enough of it. Not enough sauce don't know if that is my fault or if the restaurant should provide more. P.S. I can't comment on the place since I did not eat at the location. But I will update my comment once I do. (Don't know how big or small the place is, or how clean the place is)

This is the first Indian spot I have tried in Eugene, so I'm not sure how it compares to the others. The food was good but it took a little while to come out. I got the bread with my dish but looking at the other costumers meals I would have gotten the rice. The restaurant was nice but the salad area was not open when I visited so that was a little disappointing.

Clockwise: Garlic naan, malai kofta, chicken tikka masala, chicken koorma. Loved the little dishes they serve them in- so cute!

Evergreen was a great place to meet up with friends for a dinner out! The staff was very friendly and helpful in suggesting dishes for us to order. We tried three different dishes- malai kofta, chicken tikka masala, chicken koorma- and everything was so delicious. The chicken koorma was my favorite. We also ordered the samosas as an appetizer and even though it only comes with two usually, they brought us three since there were three of us. That was so sweet of them! I would definitely be back to try more dishes based on the experience I had here. Delicious food and friendly service deserves 5 stars!

Food was delicious, service amazing! Waitress went above and beyond to accommodate our large group and get our food out to us quickly since we had another place to be. She was very thoughtful and helpful. I didn't catch her name but she deserves a raise!!

I can't say anything about the ambience or the service, because this was an online order. The food was quite good. Generous portions, and huge chunks of chicken! It was a little soupy though, and not as creamy as some others that I have tried. Good mango lassi, but not as creamy as some of the others that I have tried. Good restaurant otherwise! Not bad!

I'm giving it 5 stars for the food, but I wish the ambiance inside was better. It is nondescript and really quiet... like too quiet. But, back to the food. Their samosas are a favorite of mine, though they are a bit spicy. I like that they come with several types of sauces. Their saag paneer has a nice amount of cheese. I'm not a fan of restaurants that skimp on the paneer. The chicken Tikka masala and Tandori lamb kabobs were delicious and had a flavorful sauce. Evergreen is definitely our favorite Indian restaurant in Eugene.

Chicken Tikka Masala and this is what I couldn't finish

My new favorite go to for Indian food or when I need some spice and flavor but still crave comfort food. I just had the Chicken Tika Masala, so good, especially dipping the hand made flat bread in the sauce. I still think my last dish I got was my favorite the SAAG PANEER.. Can't wait to try the buffet on the weekends

I love evergreen! Their samosas are super big and filling. Great flavor, and love their sauces. I always order their chicken tikka masala. I pretty consistently get the same medium heat level. Occasionally it's a little extra spicy, but I like it. Another fav is their saag paneer. Their paneer is nice an large. The greens in the saag have texture. Really nice and creamy. The veggie korma is also another favorite of mine. Nice sweet flavor and box of vegetables. The customer service is always on point and I miss their old location, but that is only because it was more convenient and festive. Not the most affordable place for one person with my wanting everything on the menu, but they do offer a complete dinner for less than $20. It is well worth every penny!

We hadn't been to Evergreen Indian Restaurant since they moved the business to 7th St. But we are so glad that we came. We started off with an Onion Pankora appetizer. We had never tried it before. They call it a chickpea dumpling, but it is actually deep fried and tastes a lit like onion rings. They serve a nice big plate full, with three different sauces to dip it in. It was delicious! We both got the Chicken Tika Masala with rice and a side order of Naan (6 pieces). Both were excellent.

They advertise a buffet that they no longer have. Before moving away I'd go here at least twice a week. Now I ain't going back once. So sad.

The gal told me that the lunch buffet will end in about 40 minutes and asked if it was okay with us. I said no problem. We go seated and got went to the buffet counter. It was a smaller selection than what we were used to but it didn't bother us. We got what we wanted to eat and enjoyed our food. Even though the buffet was closing soon, the cooks were still bringing items out. I was kinda expecting we were just going to get what ever is left, but everything was still coming out very hot and fresh. I didn't get seconds, but my daughter did. She's pregnant and said that the food really hit the spot for her and the baby. For me, that's a win! Thank you for the great food and service. We will definitely be back.

I have been wanting some Indian food, and saw on Royal India's website they offer lunch specials…read morethat were pretty reasonable. So I went to Royal India. I was seated quickly, and brought water... I also ordered a Masala Chai. Once there, I found out they no longer have Lunch Specials, but opened a buffet ($17.95) instead. Apparently the website has been incorrect for over a year, but the owner has not fixed it. I did not really want buffet, although it looked decent. So I ordered the Chicken Korma ($19.95). Then I found out that unlike the lunch specials I was hoping for, they do not serve Naan with their dishes, so also ordered some Garlic Naan. The food was delivered to my table in a reasonable amount of time... and looked good, although I thought the portion of Korma was pretty small for the price. Korma description in the menu states it has cashews and raisins in it. I think I could taste some cashew, although there were no whole cashews like I have had at other restaurants with this dish... and no raisins either. It did taste strongly of curry leaves which overpowered the cashew flavor I love. But every cook does this dish differently. Large portion of rice was ok. Garlic naan was very thin, and lacked the chewy softness I expect from naan. This was just flat, no rise at all. Masala chai was lacking in flavor, but it was a large portion, which was nice. Service was very good... Ingrid checked on me repeatedly, and was very nice. For the price ($36+) with the tip, I felt like this was a very expensive lunch, and while I did take some home... it was not even a meal (unless you count just the rice). Usually if I spend that, I get at least one other meal from the takeout. I guess I will have to just stick to making Korma at home when I want some. Not sure if I will be back....

My partner and I grabbed some food from this food truck yesterday afternoon. We love Indian food…read moreand have it once or twice a month and wanted to try a new place so we went here. It's located in a little food truck alley on Main. It's the second food truck in the row so it's easy to spot. The employee (owner maybe?) walked into the truck when we arrived and took our order immediately. I ordered a mango lassi, butter chicken, and plain naan. My partner ordered the tandoori chicken and garlic naan. The food took about half an hour to come out which was fine as there was covered seating right there. We sat and called my partner's mom for Mother's Day. The food came out hot and smelled absolutely delicious. We took it home, about a 20 minute drive, and it was still hot when we ate. The mango lassi was good but a little small for the price. I finished it within 10 minutes of getting it. The butter chicken was fantastic. It was spiced well and was incredibly tender and flavorful. The rice it came with was also great. The plain naan was delicious and paired perfectly with the butter chicken. My partner found the tandoori chicken to be dry but I suspect that's what the yogurt sauce was for. He doesn't like yogurt so he didn't try it, but I think it probably would have been less dry with the sauce. His garlic naan was also good, he ended up having some left over which I put with my leftover butter chicken and am planning on having for lunch today. The food truck alley was quiet and clean with good seating. We didn't eat there since like I said we took our food home with us, but I think we would have enjoyed eating there too. There are plenty of covered picnic tables to choose from. I didn't see a bathroom nearby, not surprising since it's just a food truck alley. Overall I really enjoyed the food from this spot and definitely want to go back. It wasn't super expensive, and while it looks like a small amount of food it is actually incredibly filling and you will likely have leftovers for another day. Definitely stop by and give this food truck a try if you're ever in the area!

It was chilly, so we waited inside of the public house building in the middle of all the food trucks. The building had a welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted by a friendly bartender at the bar, there are high ceilings, and dim lighting with natural light coming from the large windows. Music was playing, but wasn't too loud. Seemed like a nice spot to work from home. There were a few people who had their laptops plugged in at the tables. The crunch wraps were warm when they arrived, but still crunchy on the outside. I ordered my chicken crunch wrap extra spicy and it had a good amount of heat. The vegan crunch wrap was equally filling and flavorful. The marsala fries were a let down; they were the regular fries with a little drizzle of sauce and black sesame sprinkled on top. I wouldn't pay extra to order it again since it tasted just like the regular fries. We ordered the natural root beer in the public house which tasted refreshing and much better than the canned stuff you get at the grocery store. It paired well with the rich, creamy crunch wraps. Would come again!
