I've been here a few times and have always had good food. You build it yourself and they cook it, so if it doesn't taste good then it's kind of on you for making a bad combo tbh. The cook job is always good and has never been under or over. The servers are all friendly, and the cooks do a good job of checking if you want extra teriyaki when they're cooking it. They did a recent renovation and it looks so good now, too. The space is big and clean and there's a lot of seating. They have loads of choices: 4 meat, lots of fresh vegetables, types of noodles, and lots of sauces to choose from - all grilled fresh. I am a self proclaimed Mongolian BBQ professional. For almost every weekend of my childhood, my family would spend one of our meals at the local, family owned Mongolian BBQ restaurant. One not too dissimilar from Coburg Mongolian Grill. Due to my years of training and practice, I have mastered the technique of creating the perfectly proportioned and tasty mound of food. So, to surrender this control and allow the employees to compile my dish had me hesitant but curious. First of all, I am very excited that C.M.G is doing takeout. Too many times have I had wished to take my leftovers to go. Now, I can get that hefty serving of food and then save the rest for later. It's very easy to make an online order. You just check the boxes of all the ingredients you would like to be included. very easy to pick up too. The staff was very friendly despite obviously being busy with orders. My only note was my meal was not 'saucy' enough got me. I have developed a very strategic method to ladeling the perfect amount and combination of sauces over my vegetables and noodles before they get dumped onto the hot grill surface. I love to watch the sauces bubble as they evaporate and get absorbed into the different fixings of my meal. So, if you are at all crazy like me, make sure to add extra to your order. read more

Stopped in here for lunch, with my Dad, and my boy's one day. We usually frequent another competitor. We decided on this spot that day because my boys were on a time crunch for their lunch break for work. The veggies, the meat, and noodles were fresh, and had a nice selection, but I was a little disappointed in the selection of sauces. I was still able to make a decent plate, but I feel like at the other place we go to it is more flavorful, or should I say has a different taste maybe? That said the one here wasn't terrible by any means, I would come back. The other place being my favorite, and this one coming in as a second. Definitely a plus the food was fresh, and the place was super clean. Also I kind of wish the guy had my food on the grill slightly longer, or maybe a higher temp. But he did seem like he was new. Soooo.............I took my adult son, and almost adult granddaughter to this restaurant last night. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Food was great. Was offered some Coconut Shrimp as an appetizer. THAT was flat out AMAZING!!!!!! Unfortunately, it was too expensive for more than one serving (which probably explains why they call it an appetiser!!!). But I could have easily scarfed down a couple more plates of those. They come with a pink sauce to dip them in, which makes them absolutely PERFECT. Next time I go there I'm going to see if they are available as an entree........... there goes my diet!!!!! The buffet offerings were fresh and their containers and surrounding surfaces clean The cook prepared my food properly, asking a couple times as to if I wanted this or that. No complaints there. I ate far more than I should have. The Egg Flower soup was not what I expected, but, after adding some of the steamed rice to it, turned out to be pretty good and not nearly as salty as what some places have. I do wish the wait people had been just a little more"present". There were a couple times I tried to see one so I could ask a question but they weren't around. However, in their defense, there weren't a whole lot of customers and there may not have been a lot of servers to be around. I have one real complaint, however. In the women's restroom they REALLY need to fix the handle that's supposed to flush the toilet. It does flush, but immediately after, leaves its hole and dangles precipitously from the commode. Most individuals (myself included) are not expecting to do maintenance work on the bathroom fixtures when they go to a restroom. Given that this restroom is for customers, it seems to me that maintaining the facilities should be pretty high on their "to do" list. I probably should have stayed home. Now that I've tried this place out, I'm afraid I will be spending entirely too much time there!!! BUT.......I gotta go back at least one more time to find out if they have Coconut Shrimp as an entree............ Course........... I COULD just call and ask............. read more

My son and I have eaten take-out from the Coburg Mongolian Grill twice, in September and October 2024. Both times, my son placed our order through their website (ordercoburgmongoliangrill.com). The first time, everything was great! The restaurant was quite busy when I arrived to pick up our order, so I saw that as a good sign and wasn't surprised that the order wasn't ready yet. The service was great and the food was too. We even got fortune cookies! The second time, my son placed our order at around 2:45 pm for a 4:00 pickup, he received a confirmation number and a confirmation email. When I arrived to pick up the food, I was told that they had not received our order, that it's not possible to order from their website, that they only accept orders from Grub Hub or Door Dash, who "always call" whenever anyone orders, and they had not received any calls from either of them. The waitress insisted that the confirmation number was not from Coburg Mongolian Grill. She said she did not know why the amount paid for the order was currently in pending status with the bank, and she continued to insist that their website is not set up for ordering. Eventually, she offered to take the order by phone from my son. Then, we found out that they don't have all of the items listed in the online menu, but the waitress indicated that my son would get a refund for the amount previously paid online for those items. We got our food, which was good, but an hour later than we planned...and no fortune cookies. So, I find myself wondering what happened between September and October 2024? Did someone forget to monitor their website for orders? Did they change their menu and not update their website? Did Coburg Mongolian Grill shut down their website and forget to notify anyone, including the internet? Or did they just decide to ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist? I don't know what's going on there, but I left the place feeling like something is not right. I kind of felt like I had just been gaslighted by the waitress! Needless to say, it was a very unpleasant experience that made no sense. For me and my son, there will not be a third time with Coburg Mongolian Grill. read more
