Ever since day one, the staff has been super helpful in helping develop our kids and provide great attention to them individually. Our son has thrived in their phonics program and it was based on one of his teachers believing he was ready for it. It has tremendously helped with his reading and writing skills. The staff provides timely updates and details if there was anything that did not go well during the day. We are very pleased with our experience at Evergreen KinderCare. My son started going to this center when he was 8 months old. Now, he is almost one year old. It has been a wonderful experience for our family. Ms. Yesi, Ms. Kelly and other assistant teachers are simply the best. The level of care, kindness, and patience they show is outstanding. My son has been well taken care of and has learned a lot. He has enjoyed his time here. We have noticed such a remarkable difference in my son's personality and growth. He has grown into a more people-oriented individual. He has learned to eat independently. He is also willing to try different foods. He is now excited/happy to see Ms. Yesi when she greets him at the classroom's door in the morning. Everyday we drop him off, we know he is in good hands. In addition, Ms. Lynda, who is the center director, is very friendly and helpful. She always takes the time to address any concerns that we have. I am a parent with two kids at this center at different times. My older child was at this center from 9m till he turned 5 and he had a lot of fun here and years after he left them, he still remembers his teachers and activities he did here. He wishes he could go there some days. Now, he visits when picking up his 3-year-old younger brother. During the pandemic, they took all the recommended measures to keep the kids safe and healthy. My younger child has also been going here since he was 9m old. He had trouble during drop-off for the first few weeks/months and even after every long break we had to take and would cry for a long time. But every teacher involved in his care was patient and attended to him with gentle demeanor. Now that he got used to the routine, he has a good time there with all his little friends. He even said the other day "It was fun at daycare today. I got to color so much". All the concerns I had, small or big, were addressed on time and they checked with me about their progress. We're very happy with him here; the staff is attentive and friendly, communicative about my child's everyday status, and they have a convenient app that they update regularly so I know how he's doing daily. My tour lasted 5 minutes and I couldn't leave fast enough. It was a red flag for me already when I called to get more information about infant enrollment. The front desk didn't have the information, wasn't very professional on the phone, and did not give me a callback by the end of the day as she said she would . She was suppose to double check whether or not there was a spot available right now to enroll. Also - please note that once you reach out its an automates response ( or a copy paste) asking if you're interested in a tour. Emailed back a response and did not hear anything from there. Than i received the same exact email again on 2/1 Anyway, scheduled a tour 1/26/24 . This is how it went Ring doorbell* - front desk girl opens the door. Shes on the phone but lets me in. Than goes back to her desk Asian girl comes up asks if she can help. I said I had an appt for a tour . She says she can assist me. Asked how old my baby was and if she can self feed . Than says she can be in the toddler room "Okay, this is the toddler room. There's cots there for when they nap. And they learn a topic a month which is posted on the bulletin board. *pause* Any questions? " Me: "Is there a schedule I can see? Do they go outside?" Her: "Yes. Its there *points to board" . Here, I 'll show you outside area." This is where they play . There are the teachers . ( one in pajama pants , and probably not pajama day since no one else was in jammies. Suppose to be 3 outside but we only saw 2. And they didn't seem very attentive " Me: Okay. And you guys don't have any openings correct? Her: Yes. Next opening is in summer Me: Okay thank you! Thats all- *** Big outside area with a couple activities ( slide etc) for the kids to play. Honestly it was very sad. Looked like they went to walmart or target and ordered the cheapest slide/ playground fixture just to have . My daughters living room has more activities to keep her engaged Honestly , it was one of the worst tours I 've been given. This review only got a 2 star because the facility itself was big and had its own space and parking. The rooms itself was very dull, just plain. No extra effort was put into this place to liven it up . Despite this place being 5 minutes away from my house, I couldn't imagine enrolling my daughter here. You would think that considering people are trusting you with their precious child, the least you can do is give them the comfort of knowing that their child is well taken care of. Can't even get a decent tour.. The staff here needs to be trained and I would recommend having a template for your team to follow if YOU were looking to enroll your child somewhere. I want to update my review to 10 stars. The teachers are all wonderful. I've added an addition to the School, abs they have worked closely with my son. He has had to wear a cranial helmet as an infant,and had some developmental delays. The teachers are so understanding with him and cater to his needs while being 100% attentive to the other children's needs. He will be moving to the two's soon and I can't wait for the new activities he will learn. The teachers in the two's helped my daughter learn to express her feeling better, and I'm sure they will help my son too. I love how my kids know all of the teachers. My kids are doing great here. They recently had picture day and the teachers did so good in helping capture some great photos. Summer school is coming, if it's anything like last year , with foam party, birds and water play, it will be amazing. I love all the teachers there . read more

In honor of teachers' appreciation week, I am writing this review to share with the internet how amazing this childcare center is. My daughter started at this center in 2018 at almost 3 years old. As a first-time parent (like many other parents), I worried about leaving my child with anyone but me. Prior to 2018, my daughter attended an in-home childcare service, and although the home environment was nice, I wanted a more educational-based experience for her. After my tour with Ms. Valerie, I realized at KinderCare, she gets the best of both worlds. Not only is the center's inside awesome, but there are also large play areas outside divided up for the children to enjoy balls, bikes, and playgrounds. The teachers are kind to the children and spend their time together experiencing fun and learning. The staff are ALWAYS available for questions or concerns and work hard to communicate with parents via app or phone calls. The parents get updates on meals, activities, and even pictures throughout the day (the best part of my day). In addition to everyday learning, the center offers Phonics for school-age kids. As a full-time employee, part-time student, and mother of two, I have a lot of guilt for not being able to always provide the attention my daughter needs for homework or extra practice, and the Phonics program has changed that. Ms. Bonny has helped improve my daughter's math and reading skills so much; I am grateful for that. In 2020 the center shut down, and when they re-opened, my daughter was so excited to be back. It was wonderful and inspiring to see Ms. Linda and all of the staff returning to work and overcoming their fears to give all children the care they needed. The center took extra precautions, such as facilitating drop-off and pick-up at the front door, which limited exposure. They also had professional support in enforcing protective measures and kept parents informed of any possible exposures. As requirements began to lift, the center approached this transition slowly, which helped the children transition and kept everyone safe. Now I look back and remember how difficult that time was, and my family appreciates Kindercare helping us through it. In 2022, my son joined the center at the age of 4 months old. Even though that was one of the hardest days of my life (mom guilt), Ms. Yessie, Ms. Kelly, and Ms. Bonny were extremely gentle with me and my son. The infant's room is an amazing area within the center. Staff do not wear their shoes nor allow the children to wear shoes to keep the floor as clean as possible. It has a separate room with cribs for nap time and a storage area. The play area is filled with sensory toys, safe and clean for crawling babies. There are even mini-feeding chairs to ensure the baby's safety during feeding times. Once the parents were allowed into the center for drop-off and pick-up, I quickly discovered that the son may have loved Ms. Kelly more than his formula. My son then moved to the two's room with Ms. Antoniett last year, and I was so excited for him. Anytime I walked past the two's room, I would admire Ms. Antoniett and the children huddled in a circle reading books or sharing activities, and I couldn't wait for him to experience friendship in that way. The two's room has a soft mat play area for exercises for improving mobility skills and tables low enough for arts and crafts. There are plenty of books and toys to interact with, and throughout the week, Mr. Tim will visit the classroom and play his guitar so kids can sing and dance along. Ms. Antoniett has a kind voice when speaking to the kids and is great at redirecting. In June of 2024, my son will be graduating to his next classroom, and although it is an exciting transition, we will miss the two's. My family deeply appreciates all the teachers and everything they do to keep our kids happy and healthy. We understand that teaching young, developing minds can be challenging. However, as the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child, and my family and I are grateful for our KinderCare village. read more

When I was a child I attended kindercare for preschool. When it came time for my first son to go to preschool, I knew I wanted to provide him with the same quality care and education I received at kindercare. My son was born a few weeks before Covid shutdown. He was socially isolated from his peers for his first 2 years of life. When he started at kindercare he was developmentally delayed, required special help from a third party, and had a hard time socializing with his peers. Kindercare staff was accommodating to his third party helper, and provided an environment for him to thrive. Today he is making friends and developmentally caught up with his peers. When my son turned 4 years old I was looking for a preschool to get him ready for kindergarten. I shopped around and I found this Evergreen location. It was nerve wracking at the beginning, yet Ms. Joanne reassured me that everything was going to be ok. I'm glad I listened to her, because 3 years later my daughter was at the age to start preschool and I knew where to go. I did not hesitate I enrolled her right away. My daughter learned so much from Ms. Joanne and Ms. Bonny. She's a top student in her Elementary class now in present time. Thanks to Ms. Bonny she learned to read before starting Kindergarten. The Phonics learning adventure they have is an excellent source to add to your child's learning. I am currently pregnant with my third child and I'm on the waiting list to enroll in October for infant care. As a first time mom and my first time putting my son in a day care I can honestly say I am glad my son is here. I was really scared to put my son in a day care facility especially with everything on social media and the news, but Ms. Liliana, Ms. Kelly & Ms. Azita have all been amazing.. Actually all the teachers seem to really be attentive to the kids! They send us daily pictures and have updates on the app which is a plus for me! My son has learned alot and he is barely 16 months. I love that they make sure they are always keeping the kids busy by doing activities, singing songs, doing outside playtime, etc.. I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old who have both gone to Evergreen Kindercare since they were 6 months old. I absolutely love the teachers at this center; the communication is great and my children get to do lots of fun activities. Once the center reopened after being closed because of COVID-19 we were one of the first families to return. It was important to me that my children be able to socialize and get the attention they needed while I was working from home. I am very confident in the center and the safety measures they take. Parents are not allowed in the center so you drop your children off in the morning at the front door after taking their temperatures. The children are kept separated while they play and eat. I was surprised when at home I took my 1 year old to wash his hands and he started rubbing them together already because he knew the drill! Ms. Nicky and Ms. Yesi in the infant class room are so kind and helpful. They both have been in the infant class room since my 4 year old was there! All of the teachers are incredibly experienced. Most of the time Ms. Nicky knows what my 1 year old needs before I do! When I pick the children up at the end of the day I call the center to let them know I'm outside and they bring them out to me. I really miss being able to talk to the teachers at the end of the day but with the app and the center director Ms. Lynda setting up teacher-parent conferences I am able to connect with them. It wasn't always that I needed to talk about my kids the teachers here are just really nice people who I enjoyed talking to at the end of the day! :) I highly recommend this center. We have been with KinderCare for several months now and have had a very pleasant experience so far. The teachers have been wonderful and very attentive with our child. Any request or concerns we have are addressed immediately. Our daughter is at the point where she is excited for daycare and smiles when she sees her teachers. Ms Lynda, Ms Bonnie, and Ms Kelly in particular have been very helpful. They respond to our emails or in app messages immediately and are willing to help us with any questions that we have. I was able to get a discount through my work but we were having issues getting it credited to our account, Ms Lynda called each day trying to get it fixed, and she manually imputed the discount for me while we waited for the computer to give the discount. My wife and I love all the pictures, videos and updates throughout the day on the app! This review is for San Jose KinderCare facility. We enrolled our 2 year old Daughter to this facility and had a terrible experience. Just few weeks in, when I picked my Daughter up I saw there was something stuck inside her left nostril. Since it was clearly visible, I quickly removed it. I then further checked her right nostril and realized there was something stuck there too!!! We took her to Emergency and the Doctor said she is fine. Thank God my Daughter is safe. In this entire situation, the most disappointing fact was that, none of her class teacher knew both of her nostrils were blocked. It was a life threating situation yet they paid no attention to this. Miss V was busy attending parents instead of helping us and trying to see what happened. When we asked other teachers - when and how it happened.. their response was "They don't know"!! We were shocked. They paid no attention to my Daugther's safety and well-being. We removed her from the center the next day. You need to pay better attention if you are running a facility with toddlers read more

As a full time working parent, Kindercare has been an essential part to the success of my family. I can depend on the center to get my kids to school on time and to pick them up each day. During break, they provide my kids breakfast, lunch, and snack. My daughter just celebrated her birthday and my kids are currently working on spring and Mother's Day crafts. Every teacher is diligent about my children's care and education. Miss Elizabeth calls and tells me how the day went and reviews any issues or concerns that may arise. Miss Lynda greets us every morning and encourages the kids to have a great day. She also has the tough job of reminding parents to pay their tuition and avoid late fees, but she is very discrete and professional when it comes to this and works with families to get tuition paid. I am on a first name basis with all the teachers that have had my kids in their classroom. Whenever a holiday comes up, the teachers post on the web app to remind parents to contribute so the classes so the kids can enjoy a great celebration. I get daily pictures and updates of my kids' day on the app. I will have my kids at Kindercare until they are no longer eligible. read more

My now 5 month old has been going to Evergreen Kindercare for the past few months, and we've had an incredible experience being new to the Kindercare school system. We love Miss Kelly (infant teacher), Miss Lynda (director), and Miss Bonnie who all welcome us everyday with friendly greetings. Miss Kelly always gives us close updates on our little one's sleep, diaper rashes, or other behavior. She is so warm and gentle, and I can tell she truly cares for all the babies in her classroom. Miss Veronica has been great as well ever since she started in the classroom recently. Every baby looks so happy and cute when we go pick up my daughter. Her night time sleep quickly improved as soon as she started there. We love the long stretches of sleep! I also love that she's met with safe sleep practices which is important to us in a daycare. The teachers listen well when we ask them for a change in her schedule or special care on the occasion when she needs it. The updates, photos and videos shared on our Kindercare app gives us a peace of mind each day. On Mother's Day, we were given little gifts from our babies and photos of them - so cute! We are moving soon and will be attending another Kindercare because of the fantastic experience here. We will miss all the teachers so much! read more

My son has been attending KinderCare for three years now, since he was an infant. Under the care of teachers there, he has blossomed. The center focuses on overall development of a child, helping them become independent. The teachers provide frequent feedback on my child's development and also encourage parents to be involved. In these Covid times, The center follows strict health and safety protocols, with daily temperature checks for each child before entering the building. Kids remain in small stable groups with assigned teachers. All staff wear masks and gloves. While no parents or other adults are allowed inside the building, we get frequent updates and communication from the teachers through the KinderCare app. Overall, we are very thankful for the excellent quality of care. My husband and I brought our 2 year old here to tour the facility today. While the toys and playground set up is nice. The staff that helped us and the presentation that was given was really underwhelming. As a first time mom who has never put their child in daycare before, it's important to feel super confident and well informed about the facility as well feel super welcomed (you would think a warm welcome is something essential). We arrived and left within in 10 mins. The presentation literally was "here's the 2 year old class room, and here's the outside play area, do you have any other questions?"... umm yes?! I pretty much had to conduct the whole thing by asking all the questions myself. I'm sure there's more to it than just the class room and play ground right ?. Not to mention, my son who has never been involved in daycare before was fond of the front beach display they had in the reception area and proceeded to play with the props. This is when the woman who toured us said "uh yeah, those are for display only". After that, I was left with a super sour taste in my mouth and decided this wasn't going to the place for us. Sorry that my 2 year old isn't able to differentiate display-only props vs. toys....Was really hoping to like this place because it's close to our home, but it seems like we have to keep looking. The 2 star rating is simply for the nice setup of separated classrooms and clean playground. read more

I would recommend Evergreen Kindercare highly. My oldest started here at 5 months, and he is 6 now. Many of the teachers who took care of my then-infant is still here at this center 6 years later. When he returns for the summer program, he still sees his old teachers. That speaks to the quality of the program when the teachers are happy. My younger child was non-verbal and had sensory issues. The staff are so loving and caring. They go above and beyond to accommodate him. We were so grateful for their care. He is now attending a special education program, but we hope to return when he is able to mainstream. The director Lynda is amazing. She is very understanding and compassionate. Raising children while working is difficult. This center gave us peace of mind and took great care of our kids. read more

My five-year-old daughter started attending Kendercare one morning when we arrive to drop her off .she became frightened & also started to cry .I sat her down & had a talk with my sweet baby girl .I found out she was getting bullied & choked by a little girl several times. Mention it to the staff and also the director .when the director found out who the child was she mention "The child has 6 Brothers and sisters and is a year younger than your daughter ...she laughed and than blew it off . I don't care if the child came from a family of 20 Brothers and sisters there is zero tolerance for bullying and most of all putting your hands on another human being. I'm on a quest to find a new daycare for two of three of my children (possibly all three) who are currently ages 5, 3, and 1. I have passed by this Kindercare multiple times, always impressed with the landscape and cleanliness of the outside. Lots of curb appeal. What I look for in a non-denominational day care provider is that they have a rigorous approach to education at all ages, distribute learning throughout the day (not just in one time block), the ratio of children:teachers, parent involvement requirements, etc. I like Kindercare in general because all three of my children can go here, up until age 12 for before/afterschool care. They also take government subsidies with the option of a copay. Extra tutoring sessions are offered in 5-6 different areas of academics for an additional fee. For my 5 yr old they offer private kindergarten, and when he goes to school they offer transportation to/from neighboring schools. Love it! For my 3 yr old, the classroom setting was standard. For my 1 yr old I loved that the ratio was 1:4 children A few things that stood out about this location.. the administrators were all friendly, the kids have an abundance of learning opportunities, and each age group of children has their own outside play area (even the infants). I was not a fan of the indoor set up. While the 1-2 yr olds have their own classrooms, the rest of the school is an "open" layout and partitions divide most of it. When I walked in the noise level was incredible, and granted it was free play, I can only image what it sounds like during structured activities. Overall, I would send my children here if the location fit my needs, but fortunately I found another Kindercare facility that was a better fit for our family (see other review!) read more

My son has attended Evergreen KinderCare since he was 6 months old. My son loves it there, as do I. How do I know he loves it there? Because he looks forward to going there daily (M-F), plus he has a little routine. When we first enter the daycare, he peaks into Ms. Lynda's office and says, "hi". Ms. Lynda then entertains him and talks to him (of course my son babbles, but it's cute to see them interact together). I then walk further into the daycare and open the safety door (you have to unlock a safety door to let kids in and out). My son then runs in, and searches for Ms. Nicki. Ms. Nicki picks him up, and they hug for a good 5 minutes. Ms. Nicki then puts him down, and he runs to search for Ms. Yessi. When he finds Ms. Yessi, he gives her a hug and they play with blocks. At the end of the day when I pick him up, he always insists that he hugs and says good bye to his favorite teacher Ms. Ellen. I always leave the daycare with a smile on my face. It feels good to leave your child at an establishment in which is full of respectful and caring people. The atmosphere is full of love, and it shows in my son's smile and actions towards the staff members. The staff have actually become family to us. They've cared for my son for almost two years now, and I have been extremely satisfied with their services. I feel the love that they radiate towards my son and the other children. I also love how detailed they are. Whenever I go in, the place is spotless. In addition, they are very meticulous. They pay attention to every detail of their establishment as well as every detail of the children. I always feel that my son is in good hands. The staff is extremely friendly, and they keep me updated with important information, Ms. Ellen even sent me a video of my baby's first steps!!!!!!!!!! This place is full of love. I would not take my child out of KinderCare for any reason. As a side note to a previous review- I have never seen the director in 6 inch heels, nor have I seen homeless people or the establishment dirty. Yes, the staff present themselves as presentable...I would expect that of a director, but she's never dressed inappropriately or in 6 inch heels. I'm 20 now so I'm sure things have changed, but when I went here as a child my experience was terrible. I was bullied by one of my classmates and alienated because of her. None of the staff bothered to address the situation and take care of if it appropriately. Also, I got punched in the face by some brat too while I attended this place. Go figure! Hopefully the staff isn't as incompetent as they were 15 or so years ago and that they aren't letting children get bullied ‍ read more
