After taking my dog to other vet offices for the first time since Evergreen Vet Clinic was all booked and it was an emergency, I have come to really appreciate this clinic. I really only chose this clinic because it was conveniently close and after what has happened to me, I am glad that this convience ended up being the correct choice. I rather deal with front office staff that appear rude than an office that appears nice, but is out to pressure you to spend money. Also, the front staff may appear rude, but at least they are competent and knowledgeable about animals. To add, not all the front office staff is rude, there are just a couple people I've dealt with here and there, but it was never enough to deter me from coming back. My dogs do not have one consistent doctor here. We usually see a different doctor every time we come. Sometimes we get the same doctor, but regardless, every doctor has been great. Some doctors may strongly suggest some testing, but they have never immediately jumped to euthanizing my dog because I said no or strongly suggested my dog would die because I said no. I appreciate that is office is willing to meet you halfway with treatments and what you can afford. I just feel like this office would have never immediately jump to euthanizing my dog as soon as I said I am concerned with costs. This office has never made me feel pressured. They address all concerns. I appreciate that the doctors also listen to me when I tell them what I want them to check because they actually check the exact concern unlike other offices. The more I think about it, the more I just really appreciate this office because they are also always accommodating. When I can't bring my dogs at the same time, they are willing to book in a way that allows me to go back home to switch dogs for back to back appointments. Even with my recent situation, since they were going to be closed and it seemed like an emergency, they recommended another office to see and not only that, they made sure to transfer my dog's file that day even though they were about to close. They also made sure to just secure an appointment for when they reopened just in case the other offices don't work out and that it was okay to cancel by leaving a voicemail. I just wished we were able to wait for their office, because it was traumatic going to the other offices. After this, I don't think I could ever go to any other office. read more

Dr. Monika Scott & her team are a God send for me! I'm so thankful for the whole staff there. I have an agressive Chinese Shar Pei and was in desperate need of a vet who would work with him. When I first moved into the area I had emailed a lot of vets in the area to see if they would take my dog and this place was the only one to respond. They are so amazing, I can't thank them enough. My dog has to have medication the night before , morning of and sedation before a vet appointment and the team works so great with him. I'm unable to muzzle him, and they still were willing to work with me. I cannot say how grateful I am for this staff. They treat my dog so nicely even when he growls at them. I could go on and on. This place is literally so amazing, if you need a vet, go here! They also do cats! I had a really difficult time finding a vet that would work with my dog, so I hope this review helps someone who was in the same boat as me! This place is a life saver!! read more

We've been clients of Evergreen Veterinary for almost 20 years, during which seven of our pets have been cared for by their doctors. Dr. Scott and the veterinary technicians who work directly with the animals are phenomenal -- compassionate, skilled, and attentive. I've always felt confident that our pets were receiving excellent medical care from that side of the practice. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the front office staff. Over the years, they've consistently come across as cold and indifferent, which we've tolerated because we value Dr. Scott and the professional staff so highly. Today was the most disheartening experience yet. Our 18-year-old cat, who has a thyroid condition and has seen Dr. Scott regularly, had declined rapidly this past week. Our family made the painful decision to have her euthanized. I spent hours trying to arrange an in-home visit, but being a Sunday, very few were available. As a last hope, I called Evergreen to ask if they could fit us in for LuLu's euthanasia. Regina at the front desk told me there was no availability -- not even as an emergency -- and suggested we "go to an emergency vet." There was no compassion, no sympathy, and no effort to help, even though Dr. Scott was on duty. After nearly two decades of loyalty and tens of thousands of dollars spent at this clinic, I expected at least a measure of care or understanding in such a heartbreaking moment. Instead, I was made to feel like a number, not a long-time client facing the loss of a beloved family member. Evergreen's veterinarians and techs are wonderful, but the cold, impersonal nature of the front office is deeply disappointing. If you can overlook that lack of warmth, your pets will be in excellent medical hands. But compassion should extend beyond the exam room -- and sadly, that's where Evergreen falls short. read more

Went this morning to take my cat Dexter for an apt. And Dr. Monika Scott was AMAZING!!! I highly recommend taking ur pets here. 1,000/10, Nine was so sweet holding my cat the entire time massaging him during his exam, Holly did great with his vaccines & the entire was staff was so nice, friendly and helpful. My cat has high anxiety and was really calm during his entire appointment. After 6 years of dexter not being at the vet, I'm so happy with my choice of coming to evergreen vet. I moved to SJ and needed to find a vet for my senior cat (she's 19 y/o). This place was the closest to my house and I'm so glad to have stumbled across this place! Seeing that my girl can no longer groom herself, she's gotten extremely matted and smelling not to great. I tried shaving her myself, but she wouldn't let me get near her. I tried calling a mobile grooming van, but bc of her age, she wasn't a good candidate. I felt I had no where else to turn, then I found Evergreen Vet! From the very start, Sue, the office manager, returned my call and answered all my questions and she stated she would personally take care of Roxy for me. Dr. Turk initially saw her for her consultation and she too was fantastic. More importantly, they didn't make me feel guilty for Roxy being as matted and she was. I felt at ease with everyone and yesterday, Roxy was finally shaven and bathed and clipped! She's like a brand new cat, and at 19, that's hard!! She gained another life and she's happier now that she's no longer matted! Sue did a phenomenal job and also called me this morning to check in on my girl! I wish I would have done this sooner! We have taken all of our doggos here for 20 years or more now. Staff is great, responsive, & very experienced. Of all the veterinarians, so glad to have met Dr. Monika Scott. She is a gem who I highly recommend. She takes her time, is thorough, & treats your baby as if it is hers. She gives advice on what she would do if it were her pets. & follows up with appts and calls. She took the extra effort to do a safe local procedure on my most recent pup, which past veterinarians were pushing surgery or stating there was nothing they can be done. As a first time dog parent, I was impressed by the reviews for the vets at this clinic. I was hoping to take my puppy here for an ongoing issue that has been worrying me. I called around 12:40 pm and either the receptionist woke up on the wrong side of the bed or she missed her lunch, but she was so rude. I explained the issue going on with my puppy and she seemed so irritated with me. I even asked clarifying questions about the deposit for the appointment and she had an annoyed attitude about that! She made me feel so uncomfortable and honestly discouraged me from wanting to book an appointment. It was disheartening since the vets sound like they could've helped my puppy. First impressions are everything and if this is the attitude this clinic is ok with portraying then do not go here! read more

I came yesterday at 2 pm with Kohi. The front desk receptionist, Christine P. tried making me pay 429.70 dollars and told me that's my total for the whole visit. I was severely confused and said what? I didn't even get his shot yet. She said he did in the back. I said no he didn't. She said yes he did... then she realized he didn't get his shot.... she didn't say anything about making the mistake.. I asked Dr. Vuong for the total and the receptionist gave me the wrong information. The Dr was very nice though and looked at my dog thoroughly!! However, my medicines were severely expensive.. I told the receptionist I had one more question to the doctor when I paid and she told me to just leave her a voicemail. I guess they didn't care after I paid. I left a voicemail and she said the doctor would get back to me today. The front desk receptionist said she'll be done after her patients... the doctor didn't call me back even though the front desk said she would. I was going to be a new client here but had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. My appointment was scheduled a week from now so it is well before the 24 hour cancellation notice. At the initial time of booking my appointment for my pets, they sent me an email with a receipt of my deposit and a message stating, "If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please give notice within 24 hours, it is refundable with the 24 hour notice. If not given 24 hours notice it is not refundable." When I called today (6 days before scheduled appointment) the person on the phone said that "your deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE, are you sure you want to do that?" I corrected her and said that it is refundable per the email that was sent by the business when I booked the appointment. I have this email saved. She didn't say anything after that and refunded my money. Just a tip that if you are planning to bring your pets here, save your booking email in case they want to pull the "non-refundable deposit" on you if you need to cancel or reschedule. I felt like this move was a little shady and will not reschedule to bring my pets here. read more

I've brought my kittens here twice and both times I was extremely happy w/ their service. Due to COVID fur parents need to call to check-in and wait in your vehicle whilst they provide care for your babies. I was lucky to find parking in the front of the clinic; it's also right next to a busy pho place so parking can be tough. Caterpillar has been adopted along w/ the mom by my good friend but I kept the other 2: Mo (short for Moana) and Gus Gus so having them examined, vaccinated, and fixed were all pretty new to me. I didn't ask many questions but the non-profit organization that I worked w/ at the beginning (foster, etc.) and this clinic made everything easy for me. Very disappointed. The last few times I've needed to get my pets in to be seen bookings for appointments were weeks out (various excuses given). Now they want you to call first thing in the morning in case of any cancellations for that day. There's no guarantee there will be any cancellations. This just doesn't work for me. I haven't needed services for a couple of years, but today (6/15/22 @ 2:25 pm), I called for an appointment because my cat has obvious pain that happened overnight in his hind leg. When I called to have him seen today the person told me they were all booked up and they didn't have appointment till next week...even though it said on their add they take emergency's, the person I talked with said if it's an emergency, take him to the Emergency Clinic because they don't do emergencies. Very disappointed in their lack of concern. Normally I have been happy with them as I have been coming here for 20 + years but with this new attitude, it must be time to move on..you need a place you can depend on. read more

Theyre pretty easy to get a hold of as if you just leave a message with your name and number, theyll get back to you within 1-2 hours. Maybe it was just luck of the draw but I felt like a number and that they just wanted my money. The front staff are kind and SORT of walked me through the new patient process (basically she gave me a clipboard of forms!) but that was about it. My dog and I were ushered into a room where we waited an additional 10 or so minutes. We saw the Vet for about 5 minutes. And we were sent out merry way. I've been a long time customer of this clinic ( since 2010 ), however, the service I got at my last visit is the reason it will be my LAST visit to this clinic. I had made an 11:30 APPOINTMENT for my dog to get something checked. Her paws was irritated and to get a same they appointment they wanted to charge me in increased EMERGENCY rate. That's fine. I arrived to the parking spot at 11:29, and called to check in and let them know I was there. No problem. I waited in the car until .. 11:45. Nothing. 12:00. Nothing. After 30 minute wait in the car I called back and asked what was going on. A different person answered, so after explaining everything again, they said they'll check and it should only be about 5-10 more minutes. Okay. I waited again .. 12:15. Still nothing. Called again and was finally told after the third call that they have a situation they're dealing with and since they only have one doctor at the time, they have no idea how long it will take. I could wait if I wanted to but they have no idea what time I can see the Dr. Wow. This is not what I expected after arriving on time for an EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT which would have cost me more money, and waiting for 45 minutes. No communications from their end except when I called in. No apology either when I said I don't want to wait anymore and just wanted to cancel my appointment. The girl simply said "Okay, you're appointment is cancelled.". Jeeze. Thanks for the memories. This will be my last visit. read more

Hello, I am a shih-tzu, with a itchy bum problem and I scratched until all my hair fell out in one area. My mom called this clinic and was given an appointment within one hour! Dr. Scott gave me a few tests and even waived the fees. In result, I was given a shot to reduce my discomfort and itchiness for 4-6 weeks. Dr. Scott really is amazing with animals, and she treats me like I am human. I was nervous and had a break down, but she was able to calm me when no one on Earth can. Evergreen Vet informs clients about the costs in advance, the cost is lower than expected, and they truly care about their clients. After years of driving out of my way to go to this vet, I am done. They had the audacity to ask me to refer friends last week. After which I was given 9 day wait to treat my sick dog. I ended up at emergency vet. Shame on this vet. Don't ask me to refer when you can't even see really sick pets of long term clients. Shame on you. Our dog got ran over and we rushed her to this clinic and we were begging for help but no one answered. We called and talked to a representative on the phone and she said that they "heard all of the commotion but didn't come to help because they were on their lunch". Our baby passed away because of their negligence to open their doors to try and save our little girls life. I brought my dog in after an unfortunate encounter with a stranger who got scared of my dog and hit him in the face w/ his keys. I knew something with wrong with my dog's eye and I was scared that the stranger had blinded him, so I called this vet to ask for some advice. They took me in that very same day and took a look at my dog's eye. Even with the Covid regulations in place, it is still so easy to communicate with the doctor via phone calls. Dr. Scott was able to let us know that my dog had a corneal laceration, and that we should start treatment right away, and they sent us home with ointment, drops, pain meds, etc.. Dr. Scott was super helpful and extremely sweet! She even called me after hours to give updates on proper application of the medicine, eye drop alternatives, etc. which made me feel like she was really thinking about us and making sure we were getting the best possible treatment! Eventually, we were advised to see an animal eye specialist to take a closer look and made sure everything was going to be okay. The eye specialist praised Dr. Scott's work and said that it is thanks to her that our dog's vision was saved! The specialist let us know that our dog was extremely lucky to have made such a great recovery, and we owe it to Dr. Scott! read more

Santa here, Usually I leave medical and first responders out of the reviews, but when I see bad customer service especially when it is dealing with am unknown emergency, and you are shoved out the door like today's trash, because they want to close, it just bad business. My dog Ruger's leg was injured by accident while playing. I didn't know how serious it was, but he at first was limping on three legs. I examined the area myself which was his left rear paw. It was tender to the touch and he grimaced when I touch the bottom. Anyway, I looked up the time our "emergency" vet closes and I had about 40 mins and it's close to our house. When we got there there where two assistants one a chirpy younger woman and an older women that had a scowl like her dog had just died! They really were not happy that we arrived so close to there closing time. Oh my God? Please forgive us for patronizing your business and inconveniencing you as my dog is limping from an accident, of which we have yet to determine the extent of the injury. Business people:. IF YOU HAVE A POSTED CLOSING TIME THEN HONOR IT. ANY PATIENT THAT ARRIVES BEFORE CLOSING IS IN AND SHOULD BE SEEN, ESPECIALLY IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. ...and regardless if your inconvenienced. At first, the vet thought my dog had possible bronchitis. My 13 year old dog has had a bad cough for a while. 3 stars for correctly diagnosing a collapsed trachea (by the radiologist and expensive $275 chest x Ray for a small chihuahua... ). Minus 2 stars for prescribing not only expensive medication but also ineffective ones. I was first told to give my dog Hydrocodone and Clavamox Drops. When that did not work, they said try Theophylline. All three medications costed over $200. I eventually felt skeptical about all of this so I went to Aborn Pet Clinic; where Dr Singh prescribed us a steroid that quickly relieved her of symptoms and continues to help our little one. Evergreen was okay but expensive, parking can sometimes be a challenge and the staff was nice. I only came to this location because Pet food express had it on a recommended vet list close by me. But the improper selection of medication by the vet was upsetting. read more
