This is the only home improvement store in Dripping Springs, and they do a good job. If I need help finding something, it usually doesn't take long to find an employee. They seem to be well-trained, familiar with the store layout, and they know where to find things. The store is also kept well-stocked with commonly used items. I usually look online first for whatever I need, and that enables me to see if it's in stock, and also where it's located in the store. This is a big time-saver. If they don't have what I need in-store, it's easy to order for home delivery, and it almost always arrives the next day. Checking online first also enables me to see sales and promotions that might save me money on whatever I need from there. Their return process is quick and painless, and I appreciate that they have a dedicated register for returns so that customers with things they want to purchase don't have to wait behind those making returns, and vice versa. By the way, they will also allow you to check out at the Returns register if there's no one making a return there. I also occasionally use their online order/pickup in store option. This gives me the choice of curbside pickup, which is handy when I'm ordering heavy items and need help loading. They bring it right out to the car and load it, and I don't even have to go inside. The other option is to pickup my online order from one of the lockers just inside the entrance. I buy all of my appliances here. They have helpful salespeople, and their delivery service and installation is excellent. They show up at the scheduled time, and they bring the right item, which isn't always the case with some of their competitors. The employees are usually smiling, and they appear to like working there which makes me think this Home Depot management treats them well. That makes me want to continue to do business with them. read more

Love the Dripping Springs Home Depot. All of the lumber and typical household goods you would come to expect from a typical Home Depot. The outdoor and garden section in this Home Depot is exceptionally large. They have a wide variety of lawn mowers and yard equipment as well as patio equipment to choose from. Great central location right on the main drag in Dripping Springs. Lots of easy parking. The staff is helpful but you do end up running around trying to find things as you usually do in a Home Depot. Atrocious customer service. I asked three different employees today if they could help me locate something in the store. The first employee said that it was his 2nd day on the job and he didn't know. He pointed across the store and said that maybe another employee could help and walked off. I went to the employee that he pointed out and asked. He clearly did not want to walk me to where it was located and said, "It might be against the wall over there, you can look but I don't know." I finally found another employee and he told me that it wasn't his area and he didn't know. I asked if he could look the item up on his device and he just reiterated that it wasn't his area and he couldn't help. The level of incompetence coupled with a complete lack of desire to help out a customer was mind-boggling. There is a reason this store has such bad reviews. I've been looking for this for awhile. Website says every store has them, but after exhaustive searching, no they don't. Drove all the way out to Drippin because the site said they had 5. 1.5 hours later and with the help of 3 different associates, I finally found it myself. I mentioned the issue to the manager and he blew me off. It doesn't matter how friendly and helpful the associates are if the manager has a stick up where it doesn't belong. It's worth your drive to go to an Austin Home Depot, or Round Rock for that matter. I will not be going back to this location. read more

I frequent my local Home Depot in Dripping Springs, always greeted with a welcoming hello and exceptional customer service to always help me accomplish all my visions and workshop supply needs. This specific shopping experience I had to share! I walked in determined to make my own fume hood vent to keep my workshop safe while I solder and melt down my mixed metals into jewelry. I knew I needed to put my safety first, but couldn't afford a prefabricated fume ventilation system... I was stuck. I knew if anyone could help me it would be my local Home Depot! I knew I was in for a challenge, but nervously walked in with nothing but $150 and an idea to safety proof my daily workspace. I met Charles, after descriptively describing to him my hood vent vision he was fully committed! It was as if I could exhale knowing I wasn't in it alone anymore and hope that my vision will come to fruition. We got a game plan and set out piecing together my whole fume ventilation system with an industrial fan as the motor. This thing is RAD! Now I can rest in knowing I'm not breathing in toxic fumes and staying safe in my workspace. I seriously couldn't have done it without Charles' help. I left that day with a new found confidence to challenge myself and take on more projects knowing Home Depots got my back. This is an unusual store in that it's always has exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Although I live in Austin, I almost always stop into this Home Depot when I'm in Dripping if I need anything. In the past I didn't like Home Depot because although their selection and prices can't be beat, I always had a hard time getting help finding things (let's face it, the stores are huge and have everything). Over the last few years the company has done a great job improving customer service in all the stores I visit. This store however is exceptional. You almost always get a friendly greeting when you walk it. And an offer to help you find anything. Anyone you ever ask for help either helps right away or gets someone who can. I bought an Electrolux Dryer in September 2019, had it for 11 days and had to replace the motor. Fast forward 2 years later, had to replace the motor again, but did not fix it this time. I have been without a dryer for 2 months now. They have replaced everything inside and I have been trying to get it declared a LEMON, but they keep sending more parts, none work. I bought the 5 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY for this reason, but I just want a new dryer. There is no end in sight. I call them everyday trying to get a resolution, but it never ends. The Home Depot Extended Warranty people hand up on me at least once a day and never call back. I have to call them back and go through the whole thing again and it still does not get resolved. I just want them to replace my dryer, it has been 2 months. read more

This is difficult for me, as I am a long-time hater of Home Despot. You see, I grew up in a hardware store family. My dad owned the local hardware store in a little neighborhood in Los Angeles and I worked there as a young lass up until I went to college. My dad worked six days a week, ten hours a day until he dropped dead on the floor of store at the age of 84. He had to; Home Depot had opened up down the street and had taken many of his customers. He ended up having to pay part of his hardware store rent with his social security check until the day he died. When he died, the locals were inconsolable. How could it be that the local hardware store is now out of business? Who would help them fix their aging houses? Cleaning out the store, I found flowers at the door. So very sad. But I digress. I HATE going to Home Depot. I spent a good deal of my childhood working in the hardware store and the last thing I need is some arrogant pimply faced moron or some middle-aged idiot who lost his job during the last dot-com bubble talking down to me about hardware and calling me "m'am" and assuming I know nothing. Today, I was in a bad mood and I needed some help with some plumbing issues. I did not need to be treated like some stupid middle aged woman who needed everything spelled out for her. I was really sick of basic sexism and did not need any condescending bullshit and, really, I was ready for a fight. But I didn't get it. A very helpful man helped me find exactly what I needed. He was nice. He was very knowledgable about my bathroom drain and my bathroom sink fixture and helped me find exactly what I needed without fanfare. He was not at all condescending. He was smart, friendly, cheerful and helped me find exactly what I needed. He made my day. I was thankful. It was a wonderful experience. I took a star off because, well, hell, its Home Depot, dammit. read more

Stopped here on a lark a few weeks ago on the way back from a trip to Wimberley, mostly to say "hi" to my friend Rooster (who wasn't working that day). Oh, yeah, and to use the facilities, which are conveniently located in the front of this store, not in the aisle where you get concrete shoes (like most of the older Home Depots). I wound up leaving with over $70 in merchandise, mostly because the store was so clean, well-organized, and the staff was just so darned friendly. Among my treasure trove: a couple of HD yardsticks, an 80' extension cord, a toilet paper caddy, a couple of spare circuit breakers, and a sale-priced box of LED light bulbs. You know, just the stuff I really needed. The only negative about this store is that it's too far from where I live to make it my Homey Home Depot. Otherwise, I'd dump the Sunset Valley store in Dry Hole Road and Slaughter it. P.S. Home Depot used to be a place that I looked forward to going to. Now I dread it. In order to push more and more sales, they keep pushing items into the aisles. Look at me! Look at me! they scream. They are trying to get incremental sales through spontaneous purchases. Meanwhile, if you know what you want it is a HUGE pain to try to navigate around all the pallets of high margin merchandise. It slows you down and it's exceedingly tough to get through on the weekend when more and more people try to navigate the smaller and smaller aisles. Even trying to get out the Contractor/Pro exit, there's like 6 pallets of water where it used to be an easy aisle to exit with your lumber. Well done there to make me avoid coming to this location. read more

Worst Home Depot I have ever been to. Elderly employees everywhere that dont know anything about hardware or construction, muchless can they work a computer checkout terminal. When one asks me if they can help me find something, I'm polite, but thinking to myself, "I'd bet you $1000 that I know your store better than you do." In addition, many employees congregate in groups of 4-5 in the aisles talking about their weekend, or their dog, or grandchildren. Makes it hard to get by. In the plumbing department, they no longer carry simple pex fittings. All they have available now for the most part are extremely overpriced slip pex fittings that are $20 for a single 1/2 " 90. Used to be, you could buy a 10 pack of traditional crimp pex fittings for around $12. I go to King Feed in Wimberley for these now. Much better selection. Many other items become discontinued, seasonal or online order only such as plastic or metal chairs. I guess people only sit down during the Spring and Summer. Lol Lumber department is a joke. Dont go here unless you're happy with 3's, 4's, or cull lumber; and good luck getting help loading if you do. In a nutshell, if you're a real contractor, you're better off going to south Austin for materials, despite the fact that Dripping Springs is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. Don't waste your time here. It's truly unfortunate that this has happened here. When this store first opened, it was awesome. I guess nothing lasts forever. read more

Usually big-box stores are pretty much all about price, no service. Plus, one has to be annoyed that we don't have good old-fashioned hardware stores with the old guy that possesses encyclopedic knowledge. Well I had a water heater rust out and it was in the attic. The moron who installed it made sure that a hose could not be hooked up to it. Water weights more than 8 lbs per gallon, so it is a good thing to drain it before moving it. I came up with the bright idea that if I were to pressurize the tank with air, I could simply leave the hot water faucets open and it would drain. While assembling the parts, Ron asked if he could help. I told him of my scheme. He said that my concept was good but application was poor. 4 fittings later and the knowledge that I should have the water exit the inlet side, instead of the outlet and I was out of there. Awesome instructions. When I moved the water heater out of the attic and it did not make any water, sloshing noise, as in none, zero, nada. Because of Ron's instruction, it was as light as the new one. So while I am not happy that the local hardware store is closed but I am very happy that at least one of the old guys (sorry Ron) with encyclopedic knowledge was welcomed to work at Home Depot. read more

Needed wood flooring to replace carpet in a bedroom. went to home depot in kyle to choose a pattern from there *in stock * selection they only had 3 boxes on the shelves not enough even to cover a bathroom floor. the sales assistant informed me they could special order the amount we wanted* 22 boxes *how come a item usually* in stock* becomes a special order when they dont have enough for your needs ? with special orders you pay a fee if you return some of the merchandise not a good idea . So we went to the store in dripping springs wish we never had .they had plenty of the item in stock but told us as we were out of the area they would have to charge for delivery . Before we purchased the merchandise we inquired of the assistant at least twice if we used the HOME DEPOT C/C would it qualify for the ***one year same as cash deal *** as the amount of the purchase was over $1000 we were assured it would, , we had a discount coupon for 10% we applied to the total . The merchandise arrived 2 days later missing one palate had to call the store to get the missing boxes delivered by a staff member . Yesterday the bill arrived no 1 year same as cash deal just the usually C/C term s with extremely high interest rates . Called the company who informed us we **could not have a discount and the one year same as cash deal its one or the other* NOT WHAT WE WERE TOLD BY THE STORE ASSISTANT AT TIME OF PURCHASE she said we could go back to the store and have the order rewritten with out the discount and then they could give me the no interest offer that would require one more to to the store which we were not inclined to do . ALTOGETHER A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE (1 ) they didnt have the number or boxes we required in stock at the kyle store and tried to get us a special order deal, instead of having the stock from another store delivered to us . (2 ) we had to order from another store that required a delivery fee which would not have applied had our local store had the items in stock (3 ) when the order arrived it was short( store staff cant even count ) (4 ) when the invoice arrived it was NOT WHAT WE AGREED TO WHEN WE MADE THE PURCHASE . (5 ) either badly informed staff or misleading advertizing from the company to get better service and customer satisfaction go elsewhere for your home improvement needs We have had a home depot c/c for year and have bought many items from them NEVER AGAIN lowest i can give 1 star read more

Social Responsibility! Everyday at this location water is running out of their parking lot and across RR12. I was recently informed by their friendly, yet unconcerned customer service manager that" they looked into it, but there was nothing they could do." This is unacceptable in a time where everyone is encouraged to act responsibly and focus on water conservation. Home Depot has a responsibility to the community to lead the way in these efforts. I will no longer be making any lawn and garden purchases from this store. And I encourage others to do the same until this problem is remedied. read more

When it comes to home improvement, let's face it, we all pretend like we can do what's on HGTV, and that "associates" are nincompoops who no way know the difference between a philips and flat head screw driver... but this Home Depot is the exception. The staff actually does aim to please, and tries very hard to answer even you crazy question about "How do I install my toilet on the wall so spiderman feels more comfortable when he comes over?"... they don't look at you too crazy ;) Tip, order online/phone and pickup your order to save time. I wouldn't recommend this for lumber since of course it takes time to pick out the best lumber. read more

Walked into the Dripping Springs Home Depot and was floored to see only a rare few of the employees wearing masks. I phoned the store and spoke with who I believe to have been the manager. He stated that they "encouraged staff" to wear masks but it was not required. I would say there was very little encouragement for staff to wear masks. I take this to mean they have very little regard for the health and safety of their costumers or staff. I put down the items I had come to purchase and left. I was masked so the staff did not see the frown and disappointed look on my face. Good luck Home Depot. I am on to another store to make my purchase. read more

Purposely drove nearly an hour to this location as online shopping showed they had a farm gate we needed. No one in the entire store knew where they were kept. Employees directed us to the service desk. The guy there asked us for the SKU of the product we wanted. He couldn't look it up on his own so we had to go online and provide him exact details to purchase it. Once that was done we went to where the gates are kept. Had to go inside AGAIN and ask for someone to unlock the anti theft wire that locked all the gates together. Several minutes later a guy came out, looked at the wire and said "I need to get the key." Ten minutes pass when an older woman (no issues with this, as I am an older woman) came out with a key. She couldn't unlock the wire by herself, couldn't hold any gates back so we could get the one we needed, which of course, was in the middle, and struggled to lock them back up. Why wasn't there someone assisting her and us if she physically couldn't do the job? All of our interactions with several employees proved that not a single one knew anything about this store. No one was remotely eager to help us. Everyone brushed us off saying they didn't know anything. These employees are just warm bodies using a scanner. You'll have more luck checking yourself out at their kiosks. If you need anything more than that, I recommend going somewhere where people are knowledgeable and want to help you. read more

Went to pick up a outdoor dining set last night. Even called in advance, after being on hold for 15 mins finally had a HD associate pick up. But we were walking in the store. She said she was working in having someone come over to get the dinning set down from the top shelf. After 20 mins we paid for the item and asked for the Manager on Duty who said the high lift was being used to get several items for another customer. After spending over a hour we decided to leave. I had to make a second trip to Home Depot to pick up the item. Not a pleasant experience. read more

This has been the worst experience on my purchase of both a washer and dryer that I could have ever imagined. I am now on washer number 3 for replacement which still does not work!!!! The 4th washer is suppose to arrive tomorrow.(Ha Ha) The delivery company has not only been rude and inefficient, the delivery company does not know whether they are coming or going. Please everyone do not buy appliances at Home Depot. I purchased theses units on 7/11/2018 and still do not have a working washer and it in now 8/20/2018. I have to assume that at the Dripping Springs location there is a policy against employees wearing masks and keeping a safe distance from customers. Out of all of the employees I only saw 2 wearing masks. I had one employee without a mask approach me and kept getting in my face to try to show me what was on her cell phone. The further I moved away from her the closer she got. I will not be returning to this store! It is a festering petri dish and a likely hot spot to spread infection. read more
