I ordered from this restaurant and there was a giant hair in the food. Do not order from here - food safety issues!!!

This cute Thai restaurant is located at the corner of 8th and Moyamensing. So convenient to get to by bus 47 as it stops on the corner. There was only one girl at the counter. She was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. There are about 20 seats. Appetizer: crisp shrimp wraps: medium size shrimp, very crunchy with sweet chili dipping sauce. It's ok. Thai glazed chicken wings: 5 wings per serving. Came out super hot. Wait until they cool down a bit so you don't burn your hands and mouth. They are delicious but messy as the glaze is sticky. I recommend bringing wet wipes. Papaya salad: fresh and authentic, not too acidic as it was balanced with sweetness from palm sugar. I asked for it not spicy. It has sliced grape tomatoes and snake beans topped with generous amounts of crushed peanuts. Highly recommend. Drunken noodles: the chicken was flavorful but the beef was a bit tough and very sweet.

Good option if you're in the mood for Thai food. Small corner restaurant with not many tables. Service was friendly and attentive. Started with the chive pancakes, which were perfectly crispy and larger than most I'm used to. The dishes were flavorful and our choice of spice was on point. Drunken noodles was a hit with the noodles feeling well-made, rather than overly saucy/sticky as then can sometimes be. Menu is simple but offers the main things you would expect from such a place.

First things first. the presentation and color of the food will make you drool. We honestly don't just eat with our mouths, but our eyes determine the flavors as well. Now that you've learned a bit of Sensation and Perception 101 that you never asked, let's do an actual food review. Food: Tom yum: i appreciate the flavor, it's strong but not overpowering. They are not cheap with the veggies/seafood - do order Laab salad: another good and strong flavor, but in my opinion needs to have more lettuce. Spring rolls: great crunch and flavor. Unsure if it's homemade, but who cares. Wings: cooked to perfection! You can hear the crunch all the way to Bangkok! BUT....wayyy too sticky, sweet, and sour. Emphasizing on SWEET. Drunken noodles: great presentation, good color, but again...s.w.e.e.t. Pad Thai: i dont wanna sound like a broken record. Lessen the sugar. 6.9/10 - i will be back because I do see a potential. The score would have been elevated if they calmed down with the sucrose.

This place is just recently opened and received pretty good reviews, so I decided to try it out. everything we ordered was tasty with a generous portions, but the flavor was just too sweet for me and my boyfriend. I know Thai food is sweet, but this is another level of sweet. And the coconut noodle soup, it has no flavor and tasted so coconuty. It would have been better if they use rice noodle or glass noodle instead of vermicelli noodle. The ambience is plain, but it looks new and clean. The color of the building looks unattractive in my opinion. Service is good, but it takes awhile for the food to come out. They seem to be more busy with takeout orders. Overall, a decent Thai food with good portion and reasonable price. Tip: Pay in CASH, you'll get 5% off and they also accept Venmo.

This place was full of flavors!! Some of the best that i ever have had. Tasted really authentic but be careful on the spice as medium has a real strong kick! Chicken wings were gas as well! Good service!

Atmosphere: Cute little establishment with intimate settings. Liked the fact that music is not too overpowering and guest can conversate in private. Bathroom is very clean and taken care of, which is a + Service: Quality of service is excellent. Although the host is wearing many hats (waiter, server, busser), she doesn't miss a beat (while answering phone for take out orders). Very attentive to details to what guests needs and plates and utensils are always clean and prepared. Most importantly, food: ok, let's get down to business. Honestly, when this place first open, I wasn't wow-ed. I felt like this is just another Thai Restaurant. But, I keep giving it chances and I see the growth of the food quality, the taste, the consistency, and the wow factor. I can tell you that it's DEFINITELY improved. A LOT. Let's start from the chicken wings, you can really taste the sauce inside and out. It's tangy and balanced. You can also hear the crunch when you bite into it. A perfect Thai chicken wings. Tom Yum soup is perfect for cold weather, and the sour taste was not overpowering. Same consistency with the Beef Pad Thai. However, the sour note of the Thai Papaya Salad was just right, even though it's probably a bit too sour for others, but I think that's how it's supposed to taste. Definitely will be a repeat customer and come back again and again. Wishing this place much success in the future.

I do recommend making a reservation as they can be pretty slammed on Fridays/weekends. The Srirachi wings had a nice crunch to them while still keeping the chicken juicy inside. It would've been nice to have an even amount of wings to drumsticks though, as I like flats more, but thats just a personal preference. The crabmeat fried rice was amazing, a really good portion of chunks of crabmeat mixed in so each spoonful had some. The duck curry was a "Grandma's special" so a much bigger portion and cost - but reasonable. The duck wasnt dry and had a good flavor throughout, not relying on the curry to give taste. The curry also had a hint of sweetness to it which complements the greasiness of the duck. The papaya salad felt very refreshing - we got it at level one as to not overpower our taste buds with all the other food. I did get some chili pepper on the side to add in later. My one recommendation is having Thai peppers as an option instead of dried chili flakes. I much prefer the taste of fresh Thai pepper to add the extra heat. The mango sticky rice is always a favorite. The mango is soft and ripe, the right amount of sweetness. They also mix pandan in with the sticky rice for a more impactful umami (Im also a big advocate for pandan in desserts).

Once we arrived, it was super busy and it took a bit of time to get our orders in. We ordered a variety of dishes to try out, starting with the crispy chive cakes. I love chive cakes, but these were much softer than I anticipated. I still loved the flavor and dipping sauce. We also ordered a medium spicy papaya salad, but it didn't taste like ours had any spice at all which was a little disappointing. Then we tried the Khao soi, which was a gigantic portion and very delicious, I truly had no complaints there. Lastly, we had the chicken satay skewers, delicious especially with the two sauces they included with it, and their duck, an absolutely amazing and giant dish that was covered with a tangy and sweet sauce. Overall, we enjoyed the food a lot; the only reason I'm rating this lower was the service. Our bill had two extra dishes on it that we didn't order, making our total super high. We asked to have these removed, but then they told us that we had already ordered these dishes and that they were on the way. We clarified a second time that we didn't order these two dishes and then finally got the right receipt. Our server was sweet and apologized, but for their high menu prices, I wasn't too thrilled with this experience.

I got the pad Thai to keep it simple and I'm still salivating at the thought 6 weeks later. (I feel a DoorDash order coming on...) my friend got the pad see ew and she said it was "heavenly." The ambiance is intoxicating. Warm, dark, rich colors and tapestries. Very authentic. Not too loud, plenty of seating (no outdoor.) Very friendly staff!! The wait was a little bit absurd (about an hour to get the food) which is the ONLY reason I had to take off a star. Yes, the wait was that long. But honestly? It was well worth it. I don't always beg people to try places in reviews, but if you like Thai food, you have to try this place. And you can thank me later ;)

I love the spacing between tables which helps facilitate a more intimate experience. The wait staff is kind. I can't wait to try more of the menu

However overall it was some of the best Thai food we had in Philly and we used to live in the area years ago. We decided we had to come back and see if the food was still just as good and the results are in...IT WAS! Now onto the food! We ordered the Sexy Shrimp appetizer, Pad Thai, Dan Dan Noodles! The Sexy Shrimp appetizer was good but we weren't really a fan of the dipping sauce that came with it. It was like a chipotle dipping sauce but I think the a traditional Thai Sweet Chili would have been better. But my, my, my the Pad Thai and Dan Dan Noodles were Phenomenal! Portion size was HUGE, flavor and spice was spot on and honestly, I wish I could pick up this restaurant and move it to DC where we are located!
