We have been working with Lydia (owner) and Brian (sitter) for about a year and half. The dogs had been used to parents who worked from home or a grandma who was available at their beck and call. We were nervous to leave them for hours to say the least. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience. Almost all of my correspondence with Lydia has been email (occasional calls) and has been very prompt and professional. We are on a schedule, so the billing is quick and easy and she is so flexible with (very frequent) changes. Brian is our dog sitter/walker and he is the absolute best. I honestly can not say enough good things about him. He truly cares for our dogs, understands we are "helicopter parents" and need the text check ins daily, and is always flexible with my ever changing schedule. He sends us pictures of the pooches when he comes to visit and always sends us a report of their activities. We have had to change our schedule too often this summer with sick children and he accommodates quickly and easily (and asks about the non-fur babies too). We have been using Lydia's dog care services for several years. It is a great feeling when your dogs get excited to see Lydia and her crew arrive. We happened to get a late travel start one day and Lydia arrived on time to find us still at home. The dogs were so excited to see her-and disappointed when she left without a walk! Lydia and her crew are consistently reliable, timely, accommodating and have helped out in a pinch when travel plans change. Our dogs are much happier when we are gone and do not have to go through any adjustment after we arrive home-as often happened when they went to a kennel. Lydia and Pat even went the extra mile when our air conditioning stopped working and flooded the kitchen while we were overseas. My husband and I (both senior citizens) agreed to dog sit our daughter's 12-week old lab retriever because Pongo was too young to board. We did well until Pongo's exuberance literally knocked me over! Luckily a large bush caught my fall, and I just got scratched! I have no experience with dogs other than petting them! I needed help immediately and Everything and The Dog stepped up, rushing my application and getting me a wonderful dog walker (Mark) in one day. We've worked with E & TD since 2007 for mid-day dog walking. The owners and their walkers go above and beyond. They walked our last rescue dog, Truman, from the day we adopted him that year to literally the day he died, this past summer. They grieved with us. They sent a hand-painted card of him with our cat. They truly care about their four-legged clients and the two-legged owners, by extension. We have a new rescue dog now, and we called them the same day we adopted him. They are extremely flexible when we ask last minute if we can cancel or switch our day due to an unexpected work-from-home day or day off. We have been using Everything & The Dog for the last 2-years to take care of our two cats whenever we go out of town. I have had Everything and the Dog come in mid-day to walk my pup for about a year now and have had a very positive experience. We have had 2 walkers, first one for several months, and then another when the first one moved away. Both came to the house first for a meet and greet at no charge and Pepper, who can be stand-offish with strangers, took to them both immediately. I use this company for cat sitting (don't be fooled by the name, they offer it!). The same sitter has visited my cats for several times a year for the last two years. He does a great job and communicates each day about the status of my pets. It's easy to set up service on their website, and Lydia responds in a day or two. I've been able to schedule service with little notice, which I did not expect. My only quibble is that the website is not mobile-friendly, which is a minor inconvenience. read more
