There's only a limited amount of hydroponics shops in the bay area and when I heard there was a location in Fairfield, I knew I needed to visit in hopes to transition my plant care into hydroponics. I had a long list of items that I needed to purchase and wanted to support local shops before ordering items off of amazon and these items were very specific since I've been doing a few months of research into my upcoming experiment. This location is right off I80 and in a hidden spot. You can easily drive by it if you're not paying attention since the parking lot is camouflaged by trees and shrubs. The parking lot is shared with other companies but every time I've visited I was able to catch a spot at store front and fortunately I visited before the time listed on Yelp because it was nearing five o'clock and the store was about to close (I posted their new operation hours). I was met by Casey and he was able to help me find a few things I needed. The store was kind of bare and didn't have most of the items on my list but when I showed Casey my list from amazon, he offered some similar items and said he'd price match so that was cool. He helped bring my plant amendment to my car and told me that they'd be getting a new shipment in soon and to call the store and ask if they had what I needed in stock or they could order it for me. The second time I visited was about a week after my first trip and needed a pH pen. Had they had a pH/Condo meter, I would of purchased it on the spot but I had hopes to find what I needed but could no longer wait. I didn't catch the other guys name but he was friendly enough. I was able to purchase the pH meter and he said that if I had any questions to come by and they could help me but I appreciate him for offering the help and thought it would be great for others to know that the employees are willing to help you even after your purchases. Hopefully they'll get more supplies on the shelves. I'll probably need to restock in a few months so I'll most likely call in the future and take Casey up on ordering a few items for me. read more

This place has got to be the worst hydroponic store I've ever been to. Coach used to run this place and it was a great place to stop in and grab little things (pricing doesn't make sense to buy bigger stuff) but the new staff that is there now is extremely rude. Not very knowledgeable on the products they are selling. Now way I could ever support this business. These type of people are exactly why the garden supply industry is hurting so bad! read more

Terrible customer service plus a lack of products in stock in store . I purchased 36 fabric pots(about $4 each) among other things totaling close to $300. Store only had 33 in stock but I was promised the next shipment would arrive latter that day and I would receive a phone call. Popped in 24 hours later to check in ... no pots . Fast forward 3 MONTHS, I return to the store to purchase nutrients. Casually brought up how the store should probably supply a refund for the 3 pots I never received and the employee laughed at me ..... Odd and mildly offensive but I brushed it off. Seems like their mindset might be since I paid so much originally , why am I just now worrying about $12 ..... The store did not have the nutrients I needed and was told that "we should've already gotten them in.. " when I asked when the next order/shipment would arrive... not risking it. Customer service was attentive and helpful, inventory is vast with many of the things you see online except you get experince and hands on knowledge in a local shop. I have only been in this store twice. The first time I was treated poorly but I thought maybe the person was just having a bad day. I went in again today to buy some pots and soil and was treated as if I was trying to steal something. Instead of coming out to the front of the store to ask if I needed help two people started yelling from the back. I didn't know they were trying to get my attention so I continued shopping. I went into the warehouse to get soil and some guy quickly comes in and I get the feeling he thinks I'm trying to steal something. I thought maybe I wasn't supposed to be in the warehouse but he said that being back there was ok. I was made to feel uncomfortable so I put the pots that I was going to purchase back and left the store. I would not go back there again. This is the only place in Fairfield where I can find smart pots. They're not just for growing marijuana! They are also great for vegetables and small trees. Everything Green also has fertilizers and potting soils that you cannot find at the big box stores. Great place for serious gardeners. read more

Went in as a first time grower with little knowledge. Left a novice with a complete set up, that was good quality and for my budget. Coach G aka The Godfather, totally hooked me up. In areas where I didn't wanna sacrifice quality, just because of the price being a little high, he cut some prices for me and really worked with me. Didn't up sell me any equipment or unnecessary components. I really felt like coach G knew me for a long time and was hooking up his brotha. Very family like atmosphere. I spent almost 3 hours in store just talking to staff and customers. After I got all my stuff ordered, Coach G walked me threw the process of setting everything up correctly. He gave me tips and tricks for efficiency. I can't say enough good things about this place. Great people plus great work, equals an extraordinary company. Will be going here for everything I need. I have been shopping with this store for a few years now, and recently stopped going and found a new store. If you do shop here ask for Galen or the Hispanic guy. They both are very helpfull. I stopped shopping here because of thier female employee pissed me off by lying to me. I came in for a bag of happy frog which they didnt have so she tried to sell me a bag of coconut husk saying it what the same if not better than happy frog. I could t believe that she worked there not knowing the difference between coco and one of the best soils. Now I shop at green haven down the road. I have been a customer of Everything Green for 3 years and shop there religiously and every time i go to the store, my experience gets better and better. The staff are unique and experts in their field. Christine is a absolute doll and very knowledgeable,coach is the authority on both indoor and outdoor gardening.. i recently purchased a VERY costly item and it had some issues that were not covered by the warranty, ok..it was user error and i spoke to the staff at everything green and in 24 hours i had a brand new item in my hands... Negative 1 *! Go to this place is ya want the kind of service where ya have to place a special order on a product in which they are listed as a distributor for that they never access to. They tell ya is order and will be here in a few days. Few days later ya call them back to find out it wasnt ordered. Once again ya get lied to and told sorry about last week they will order and it will be in in a week we will call you. Patiently waiting another week ya call back to see wzup and ya told ya order was place, its on the truck and will be arriving today we will call you. 1 hr past their closing time ya realize ya didnt get that call so ya plan on calling 1st thing in am. Morning comes ya call and the same freaking guy tells ya its on back order, so ya ask why ya didn't receive a phone call yesterday and her has nada to say! This review is rated at a 5 star rating due to two employees that work there ONLY, busiess itself sucks. When I go in I make sure Amen (I think that's how you spell it) or Brent is there. Everybody else is not unhelpful, especially that really older lady that is in there sometimes...is she really an employee? Every time I've asked her a question she can't answer me, defeats the purpose of having an employee that can't answer questions or be helpful! Every time something ain't in stock it takes YEARS for me to get it & boss man always promises me tomorrow and tomorrow and before you know it, weeks have passed. Prices are reasonable. Location is pretty cool, can be hard to find/easy to drive past if you aren't familiar with the area. Inventory is ehhh. Shop is a tad bit crowded and all over the place. Too many items are just scattered instead of properly being organized. Long story short EVG is close to me so I come here, but ONLY when those two are there. Amen is always up front with me, he's helpful, & hooks it up (I'm a long time shopper, since they were at the downtown Fairfield location.) So the guy behind the counter went in the back and came out with two samples, still probably more than I needed but you know what? They were free. Let me start by just saying "Thank you!" I still don't know what I'm doing and I still need more stuff. Today I just found out where you can learn and get what you need all in one shot without breaking the bank. Matter of fact, the most expensive thing one would probably need can probably find here and at a better price. LED's MAAN! Hooked me up a few hundred under retail! I had to steady myself from the shock I was in when they told me the "out the door price". I had to ask a few more times just to make sure he said what he said. The most awesome part was the fact that they didn't even have the item I wanted and told me that they needed to restock and would pick it up if I really wanted it. Hell to the yea! It's was like ordering online and receiving the item the same day but buying locally. TITS! Probably just got real lucky! Galen is easy to talk to, very cool dude. Very down to earth. Everyone who works at Everything Green has been more than helpful with any question i have. Last year i had a terrible time, everything that could go wrong did. These guys walked me through every cure from powdery mildew to white flies to aphids. I used their tea every week and couldn't have asked for a better harvest. All the employees are helpful and knowledgeable, way cheaper than the stores in Santa Rosa.
