Darlene was kind and amazing, and thorough in asking questions about furniture, packing, pets, and exercise equipment. Things I didn't even consider! Day of the move (Saturday after Thanksgiving) Ryan, Santos, Mario and Amir showed up on time, carefully wrapped all of our furniture with either blankets or plastic wrap. The asked questions about where things should go, and questions about how to assemble or disassemble things. This is our third move, and we are not as young as we were with our last move. We had to make two trips, but it was still within budget. Next move, I'll call them again, and pay for packing (which we thought we could do on our own in our 50s!) Jeremiah's communication heading into the move was excellent and Mike and his team arrived right in the window they said they would. As soon as I gave them the rundown of the place, they wasted ZERO time and got straight to work - all the way until the last item was carried into the new place. Heading into this move, I was worried about taking apart our bed frames and putting them back together. Mission Movers took care of it at no extra cost. But the biggest thing for me is how friendly and HONEST the team was. One of my dining chairs was already cracked before the move and they approached me and apologized for thinking they did it. That small gesture went a long way for me and I know they were going to find a solution even if it was their fault. They also could've charged me for a full 4 hours but charged me to the exact minute they worked at 3.75 hours. Not to mention it was also a really hot day and they powered through it without a single complaint. My wife and I have said several times that we don't know how we would've done it without Mission Movers. I know exactly who I'm hiring for any of my future moves. 10/10 experience! At my previous apartment, we stayed for a while to make sure everything was going smoothly before driving to our new place. When we left, the crew appeared to have already moved the majority of our belongings out. It took us about 40 minutes to drive to the new apartment, plus another 20 minutes to get settled and make sure our cat was safe. An hour after we had left, I received a call saying they had just finished loading the truck and were only then heading to our new apartment. Given how much had already been completed before we left, that timeline didn't make sense to me and left me questioning how efficiently the remaining work was being done. Another frustrating part of the experience was that, at both the pickup and delivery locations, the movers repeatedly asked me where they should park the moving truck. I don't drive commercial moving trucks, and I hired professionals because I expected them to know how to handle those logistics. I was also told that if they received a parking ticket, I would be responsible for paying it, which I found unreasonable. Once they arrived at the new apartment, the pace continued to feel unnecessarily slow. There were multiple trips carrying only one or two small items at a time. Eventually, my partner and I started helping unload our own belongings because we wanted to get the move finished. We also noticed several bathroom breaks throughout the job, which only added to the feeling that the process was taking much longer than necessary. The final interaction left a bad impression as well. I fully intended to leave a tip for good service, but before I even had the chance, one of the movers repeatedly asked for cash after I had already explained that I didn't have any. Being pressured for a tip at the end of an already disappointing experience felt unprofessional. Moving is already stressful, and I hired professionals hoping to make the day easier. Instead, I left feeling that the job took much longer than it should have, communication was poor, and the overall experience did not justify the cost. I can't recommend this company based on my experience.

We spent a huge amount of time and effort, researching different cabinetry companies in order to find the right match for us. It became clear as we researched that there is a big dividing line within the cabinetry industry. Most typically there are guys who have table saws, and tape measures and they proceed to chop up wood and nail it together. However, a more recent development in the cabinetry business is what we were looking for. The most advanced companies come out, take measurements of the room and then design the cabinetry on a three dimensional computer system. This provides a way of essentially seeing what you're going to create before you even make one bit of sawdust. Once an optimized design is finalized, the wood parts are cut up and drilled by computer controlled machines, that very precisely control the dimensions of the wood parts to within only a few thousands of an inch. At that point the wood panels are simply put together with very little effort and essentially no corrective measures being needed. The result is a cabinet assembly that comes out essentially perfect. All drawers are precisely in line, everything fits pretty much perfectly. And this is how Haynes cabinetry operates. Along with Haynes, using the most advanced methods of creating cabinetry, throughout our project, they continually displayed a most proactive approach to dealing with us. At no point during the project, did we ever have to ask to have something done a second time. Everything we asked was taken care of, and taken care of with a smile. It was as if we were having friends that we've known for years come over and perform this work, they were amazing! Looking back at our home remodel, it is clear that Haynes cabinetry led the pack with regards to comparing them with the other contractors that we had involved in our project. If you don't show up when scheduled, fail to add a job to your schedule, and keep lying to your customer about the arrival time of your tech who NEVER shows up at all...why would I trust this company with my larger corporate work? How you treat people matters, whether the job is big or small. This was unacceptable today and I did not appreciate that I had to keep calling YOUR business to find out what was going on, what happened to the tech, etc. Why aren't YOUR people communicating with customers? Why didn't anyone apologize? Why didn't anyone call before close of business to say, "Hey, we're not coming!" I was extremely unhappy because no one cared that I had taken time off work to meet the tech and no one cared enough to even CALL me and let me know what was going on. You guys dropped the ball big time here and were incredibly thoughtless and rude. Update: They just arrived at 5:36 pm. The techs themselves were GREAT and were able to do the work and complete the job. However, I wanted someone to know about the lack of transparency and communication today as it was very upsetting to me. The quality of work and the people you hired to do the actual technical job were terrific, knowledgeable and qualified. I realized it was not THEIR fault today, but I think it's important for people to know about the communication problems. I updated my review from 1 star to 3 because of the actual techs and their skills.

I cannot say enough about Shell and her team! We first used everything has its place about three years ago; after we moved into our new home I needed help with organizing my kitchen. When we moved in I just put things in places that had no rhyme or reason and being busy with work and the family I never got around to it. Shell came in and organized my entire kitchen as well as pantry and made my life so much easier because I could actually find things. And just a few months back we called on Shell and her team once again because now we were moving due to job transfers. Shell not only had all of the packing supplies that were needed delivered to our home, she showed up with her team and spent the next several days packing up all of our items meticulously. Being that this was a cross-country move I did explain to Shell that I was worried things might get broken during the move. Shell assured me that she would make sure that her team added extra packing material around our items. After the moving truck arriving a week late I had no idea the condition of my items. Once the truck was unloaded and we had a chance to start opening boxes we found that "nothing" was broken. Hallelujah! If it wasn't for Shell and her team we would've never made our timelines and our belonging arriving safe and sound. With our children getting older (4 of them) we needed additional space for them to watch movies, play games, or play with their friends. So my husband and I thought why not turn our garage into an extended family room for them. Both my husband and I thought for sure we were going to need to hire a handyman, contractor, designer, as well as a professional organizer......Well I am happy to say that when Shell came over for our free consultation, she sat down with us so we could share "OUR VISION" as she took notes Then we showed her the space. Within a matter of a few minutes Shell was drawing up a design while rattling off some of her thoughts; which we LOVED! Not only did she transform our garage, she exceeded our expectations! Shell create a very usable area for our kids, and even went one step further and created other small designated areas like: a chalkboard wall, art, reading, and lounge areas. I initially called because my wife and I just recently moved and thought we could manage all the unpacking ourselves, but after 2days we just could not see the light at the end of the tunnel. Michelle and her team promptly showed up and immediately dove it in. At first my wife and I were like, what are they doing "there are boxes and our stuff everywhere now". But we soon realized that there was a method to this process and by the end of the first day our entire kitchen, pantry, hall closet, and guestroom were completely set up, organized, and even pictures hung. After speaking with Shell I found her to be very thorough, articulate, and a great sense of humor. So I scheduled her to come take a look for her free consultation. After years and years of hanging on to "things" I never used, sold or donated and thus making our garage a messy, unsightly and unusable place, I changed my mindset, thanks to Ariane and Shannon and couldn't be happier AND healthier. These are things I decided someone else could much better use and enjoy, and the adage, if you haven't used it in a year, you don't "need" it, is so true. Ariane and Shannon helped me and my husband to sort, donate, toss or keep so many things we had saved for 20 or more years. They also offer to take items to donate as well. I learned about my city's (Fullerton) numerous opportunities for large item pick ups and extra trash pick ups (for an added fee) in the process. I became a familiar face at our local disposal place, which I (don't laugh) was kinda nervous about going to before, and that's why so many things didn't get "dumped." Our garage now has useable totes and shelves and designated spaces for items we truly need and use for our home and life. Big pluses for "The Clutter Nanny" are that both Ariane and Shannon are punctual, hard working, organized, great communicators and schedulers, conscientious, creative, and fantastic problem solvers. I received a follow-up from my inquiry very quickly, we met for an assessment, and it was to easy to handle the payment for their services. I was a bit anxious (haha, that's an understatement- I was freakin' out!) about letting people "see behind the curtain" but they made me feel incredibly at ease and didn't make me feel judged for years of clothing build-up and lack of organization. The best part was how self-sufficient and autonomous the team was, which made all the difference for me trying to juggle a demanding job and childcare, etc. The team will work with YOU to understand how you function in your space- and then make sure that whatever system is put in place supports your usual routine!! Marla is quick to brag about unrelated job credentials. I should of known then. I have used professional organizers before and was very happy. Never a problem! *Further, I am insulted buy her comments & insinuations after posting this review which are absurd and lame excuses. No one babysat my teenage son or my little girl! And for 30 hrs?! Really? This woman is nuts! Even one of her workers told me she was crazy!) My nanny and my other hired workers witnessed her poor service and commented on it every time. Yes, MY NANNY who was full time -child care for my daughter was always present- Not strangers I hired to unpack & organize my home. Absurd! The college girls chose to play with my daughter. It wasn't anything I asked for or preferred. I hired them for a specific job totally unrelated to my kids- what an insult to suggest otherwise. And, I did assist when asked- wasn't sickly or absent- just exhausted after this drama experience. *Based on Yelp reviews I decided to try Marla for a 2 bed, 1000 sq ft move into a 3 bed, 3 bath 1700 sq ft brand new, high-end gated community home 15 miles away. The job was to pack my home, move me into the new home, unpack and organize my new home so that I could be moved in quickly and not interrupt my work schedule. Marla assured me they were trained and could do this seamlessly without having me manage the job or interfere with their work. It was all clear and agreed prior to hiring Marla. No surprises on my end. I am a busy, professional single mom so I had no issue paying for and hiring a professional to make my life easier. **I wasn't seeking a cheap solution rather a much needed professional service. I have no problem paying for quality. If I was looking for budget I would of hired the desperate men in front of Home Depot! Marla was never present and although her team is very nice, they are NOT professionally trained organizers. Her team is just young college kids who did pack my house quickly... That was great but NOT organizational pros. Proof is in the photos I will attach to this review. (Somehow photos were taken off Yelp?! That's suspicious!) they just showed lack of organization- nothing more. Marla suggested I use her team to actually move instead of a moving company. The move was to be expected with their limited moving experience however I was still satisfied. Didn't feel money was wasted. I saw the labor and effort however it was nothing to refer or brag about. Things changed once I moved into the new home. It was agreed to unpack my home and make my home look very neat & organized. Marla bragged of feng shui experience and other ideas I liked. Her team packed my home so I assumed by the labeled boxes they would know where things basically belong... Being a professional organizing company. Basically unpacking consisted of just opening boxes putting items alla wherever, and leaving piles of boxes and trash in front of the home. I had to re-do the unpacking and organizing that was done. Even a simple linen closet is linens taken straight from the box, not refolded. Looked like they were flung onto the shelves. My kitchen was unpacked by the nicest girl but items were not well thought out as they were put away so the flow of the kitchen is totally off. Things were unpacked without any thought. No order. The crew claims they worked hard and the house didn't have enough space however this is a much larger home then from where I moved- double in size in an upscale gated community. My prior home was not cluttered and was a much smaller space. I had very little stored in garage so the excuses were not adding up. I understand moving is challenging but this was a job going downhill quickly. The unpacking and organizing was not high quality at all. My new home was left with boxes still in the garage pilled high and furniture never made it to the correct rooms. After 2 days of unpacking with Marla's company I decided to cancel the rest of the work. I just wanted them out! I feel after nearly $2000. That this was absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional and I was being duped. Over promised, over sold and under delivered. I didn't want to continue paying them for sloppy work although would have continued to pay them to finish the job if they were worth it. A professional moving company would of been less expensive and would of done the same quality of work or better...I was looking for ORGANIZATION & QUALITY and willing to pay for it. Liz came in with Lisa and organized my pantry and kitchen. Not only did they help me sort through and discard FOUR bags of unnecessary items, but they left my pantry and kitchen so clean and organized that I thought I wanted to sleep in there! A few weeks later, we had them come and organize our garage. Our garage was the catch-all space for all things move-related, on top of our usual stuff. Every time I went in there, I got anxiety looking at all the stuff that needed to be unpacked and organized. Additionally, my husband's biggest goals were to (1) get his brand new tool chests organized and (2) simply be able to park his car in there. At the end of the very long and hot day of organizing, Liz and her team were able to organize EVERYTHING in our garage. They even sorted through all my husband's hardware (nails, nuts, bolts) and organized them into containers within his tool chest. Could I have organized my garage myself? I mean, yeah, probably. But here's how it usually goes: the two of us (my husband and I) would be able to do one section, not be able to go through *every item* and ask ourselves if we truly use it or not, NOT be able to really remove ourselves enough to categorize them properly, then we realize we need more bins, so we have to go out and get some more. We either procrastinate until tomorrow... or the next weekend... or the following month... Liz and her team already have ALL the necessary organizational items with them. They know the process because they've done this a thousand times! It is NOT possible to get this done without this team. The best part about having everything organized in clear bins is knowing exactly what we have and where we have it. It sounds dramatic, but I think it's accurate to say that having everything organized is life-changing. No longer will we have to second guess what we have or where to find it, only to purchase a duplicate (or gulp, a triplicate) of it, but we can access it easily... and most importantly, we can keep up with the organization. I think that organization MUST be sustainable in order for it to work. Even now, months later, my daughter and several friends know where to get snacks in the pantry or items in the garage, and they know that they can put it all back easily if needed. I cannot recommend Coastal Organizing Company more. Just absolutely fantastic!

They took his apt. - that was filled with over 250 moving boxes - and made it a completely organized and simply wonderful. Helped my friend purge A LOT of unnecessary and duplicate/triplicate items. In turn, those items were donated to a great non-profit called Mercy House. It was a win-win for everyone. Elissa, Leslie and Jordan were so patient and understanding and helped create an organizational system that is easy to follow/maintain.
