Everything does NOT open; however, everything DOES cost an exorbitant amount of money. From start to finish, our experience with this company was terrible! We found ourselves locked out of our beach house at 10 at night in Malibu (our stupidity, we know). We then call Everything Opens and were told someone could help us in 15-30 mins. This seemed unrealistically fast, but why lie? Approximately 45 mins later we receive a call "confirming" we want to use the service, and we are given the new ETA of 30 mins... ultimately the technician arrived well over an hour after our initial call--very misleading. Then, we are given the quote (again, our stupidity for not asking up front). To get into our house (residential property), we were quoted $489 PLUS the $29 service fee!!! When reacting to the extreme nature of this quote, we were told, "Well, it's the type of lock and the location, of course." The latter half of this statement left me with the impression we were being upcharged given the "obvious" amount of money we must have to own such a Malibu beach house. Highway robbery and so unfair for two young (ish) girls, now, at nearly 11:30 at night. When we started to think of alternatives, we were promptly told the "cancellation fee is $80 PLUS the $29 service fee." Out of desperation, we caved and asked the tech to start working on the door. Although the tech was nice and hard working, he was also over confident, assuring us repeatedly he has picked many locks just like ours. After an hour of hammering away at the door, his tune continuously changed: "50% of locks I have to break. Are you sure you don't want me to break it?" I asked relatively early into this ordeal, "So what happens if you can't pick it?" And was told, "Then you only owe the service charge." That is, until 12:30 at night when he said, "Ok, so you owe the service fee plus the $80 cancellation." I outwardly expressed frustration, noting that we were still stuck outside in the pouring rain and never "cancelled" his services. He was superficially apologetic and indicated, "well I was here working, wasn't I? That's what they told me to say." So we ended up paying $109 to NOT get into our home, and to delay getting into our home several hours (we had to have someone drive a spare set of keys from 20 miles away at 1AM). In addition, he left our beautiful door dented and chipped in multiple places and removed and reattached a metal plate at the bottom, chipping much of the wood. He even left part of a credit card broken in the jam. Needless to say, I'm beside myself with how this business is run, and I would NEVER recommend this company. Overpriced is an understatement. Ineffective comes to mind, and certainly, unfair. For the record, we received a quote of $65 from another company, but were told the wait time would be a bit longer, so we chose not to go with them... biggest mistake ever. read more

I called to get a key extraction for my car. My dad accidentally put a pad lock key in the ignition, this key had a shit load of teeth which stuck in there really good. I tried real hard to get that key out but was not happening. The key ultimately broke and the technician who's name in Ami took that key out effortlessly. Ami is the man. Last night I had encountered a broken car key for what seems to be an impossible make and model. We called like 8 other locksmiths (not even an exaggeration) only to hear the same thing. As soon as we said Classic Range Rover key, everyone responded with, we don't have the tooling, you have to send it to the factory dealership. After exchanging a photo of the broken key to make sure we weren't wasting each others time Ami made sure he had the correct replacement key. My trailer door lock failed (key would not come out) when my mom opened the door and my mom called them out to look at the lock. When he got there he told my mom it would be $250 to fix the lock. Mind you a brand new door lock for the trailer is under $40. Thank fully my mom called me and i told her i would fix it that is a crazy price in my opinion. I just found out the guy charged her $55 for a service call which i am fine with because he came out but he also told her she had to pay a additional $45 for canceling. Well that i have a problem with. That is a completed bogus charge. How can we get charged a cancel fee when he just gave her a price to fix it. Just because i told her not to use them he doesn't get to charge a cancel fee total scam. She told him she thought it was pretty steep fee to come out and give a price she finally talked him down to $25 for cancel fee. still ridiculous talk about taking advantage of people I would not recommend them at all read more

Ami is the best! My family and I were at the Santa Monica Pier when we lost our FOB for our car. It was a 3:00pm on a Sunday and most places were closed so we google searched "key replacement" and called the first company we found. They were just a call center and routed us to their first available local locksmith which happened to be Ami! He called me and told me he would get there within the hour but then after an hour another locksmith called and said the company had switched locksmiths and that he was coming instead. I called Ami and he said the company had called him and told him they were sending another locksmith instead. We waited another hour, and then another hour, and then another hour only to receive a phone call from the locksmith saying that when he was on his way he realized he didn't have the specific FOB for our car. So now its 8:00 o'clock at night, phone battery is on 5% and I desperately call Ami back (still having his number in my phone from earlier) and he says "You have to be kidding me! A locksmith never came?" I tell him the story and he says, "Don't worry, I will be right there." He gets there within 15 minutes, gets into the car, changes the lock, erases the old key (In case someone finds it or stole it from us to begin with) programs a new key and sends us home...finally! I later found out that when I had called him he was on his way home after a long day of work to eat dinner with his wife as she just prepared dinner and when he called her to tell her he was going to be a little late, his wife said, "What? are you talking about the same family you called me about at 3:00pm this afternoon?? You have to go help them! I will wait for you to eat dinner" One other thing...Ami was like an old friend, he had one great story after another and was a pleasure to talk to while he was helping us! AMI is the ONLY locksmith I will ever call!!! My Monday started out terrible! Put the key in the ignition to go to work and key wont move... Steering wheel locked ? NO so I Keep trying to see if maybe the key will engage it and start the car. I feel like Im going to break the key in the ignition if I keep TRYING to turn it.
