When I showed the inspo to her, she kept doubting herself saying "uhh I guess I'll try but I don't have all of the colors and charms" she did an overall good job though besides the fact that she stopped doing my nails every 2 minutes to pick up the phone because someone wanted to book an appointment so short answer: beware of time! I haven't gotten my nails or eyebrows done since before I've given birth. so needless to say I was well overdue. I do however maintain them myself. Keep it short and simple. This was the only pampering I've done in a minute and for the price and time, it just wasn't worth it. $54 for a service that I could've done better at home and saved the money. Which I'm at home having to clean up everything, the left over cuticles, the mismatching mail shape and my eyebrows... I now have a hole in one of them. Not even worth the most basic service. The one star is of course for the very friendly staff but that's about it. over priced and very bad service and I tried my best to inform the staff to what I specifically wanted. I was wary with the varying reviews of this place but I think things have changed over the years. In all honesty the service can really vary based on who you get as your nail technician and I lucked out to have LMamo who was so detailed and attentive. The salon itself was super clean, staff were masked up, & the nail polish all feel fresh. I really enjoyed the fact that the clients knew the staff. Overheard many of them checking on how their clients' kids were. I think places like this that are built on good relations & client loyalty are truly special. After reading many reviews for nail salons in the neighborhood, I landed on Eve's for a long-overdue mani-pedi. I asked for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure with callous removal. I was offered cards from which to choose gel colors and told that the regular pedi would be matched to whatever color I chose. The gel color I chose must not have been available because they offered me entirely different colors for both the mani and the pedi until I ended up with a different color entirely for both mani and pedi, without the gel option. The callous removal barely removed my callouses. The manicure polish was applied so thickly that no matter how long I dried for (and I waited far longer than usual), it didn't stand a chance. Love this place so much ! I am a consists customer for the last year, I love Tina ! And all the girls there. They all take care of their customers it's great that you can do appointments especially during the pandemic they abide by the rules for Covid. They are cute place and very clean ! I absolutely love their homemade scrub ! Great variety of colors for manicures and pedicures. Just wish they had more variety of SNS but in the picture below this is my first black SNS and I love it. Avoid this place at all costs. Their carelessness gave me an infection and caused trauma to my nail bed. One of the manicurists is REALLY ROUGH with cuticles-she pushes them while they're totally dry with a sharp tool, which is not common practice. I asked her to please be gentle this time because it hurts when she does this. Instead, she ends up cutting one of my cuticles so badly that I bled-I looked down and saw blood pooling up on my thumb and instead of apologizing or even acknowledging it so that it can be disinfected, she sprays it with water (who knows how old it was) and tries to hide it by throwing a towel over it quickly as if I wouldn't see it. Wtf? No apology, no disinfecting, nothing. She got my blood on the towel and that towel is still being used, btw. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. read more

Great service and attention to detail! Went on a weekday to get my nails done prior to my friend's wedding. Opted for gel manicure so it would last longer. Took me forever to pick a color, everything looked so pretty! Ended up with this coral pink color which complemented my lavender bridesmaid dress. The girl doing my nails was very sweet and I accidentally touched my nails before it dried. She helped me fix it with no issues. I work in the area and was in desperate need of a pedicure. I opted to go during my lunch break based on the most recent reviews regarding cleanliness. Well, first the only nail salon that I have gone to in years that doesn't put a liner in the sink. Second, the manicurist was either blind or a simple brute, instead of noticing that there wasn't much filing that she needed to do she was filing my skin and hurting me, I had to tell her to stop filing that she was not making contact with my nail. She barely let my feet soak before she started attacking my cuticles with the nipper and cut me badly. The owner was laughing while she was apologizing, while the manicurist continued to try and finish the pedicure. I'm appalled and disgusted, I am contacting the Dept of Health. read more

I went there to get mani/pedi. I called ahead to see if they were busy, the guy said no. When I arrived they seated me right away, which is good. Nothing to rave about really. I can't believe they have so many good reviews. My nails were bad, they got bubbles. I just didn't have the time to go back and complain about it since I need to go somewhere afterwards. My first Yelp review! How exciting for me and for all of you reading this, I'm sure. I received a pedicure at Eve's tonight, the first in what will surely be a spring and summer of testing out all the fun nail salons down Church Ave. On a post-work weeknight, Eve's was one of the only places I saw still pumping through patrons and not looking empty. The place is definitely one of the cuter options in Kensington. Clean, new-ish massage chairs, new-ish UV nail dryers, Ikea-ish throw pillows. The staff was pleasant and friendly. I couldn't decide between two polish colors, and my nail technician recommended something completely different which ended up being right on the money. A gal one seat down from me even gave me a compliment on the color. Right on! The pedicure itself was better than what I would expect for $15. The nail shape was right, the heel exfoliation was adequate, the cuticles were clipped with the focused precision of some Russian chess masters. Great moisturizing foot and leg massage (for $15, really great). I especially appreciated her exfoliating the insides of my ankles by hand - a spot that usually goes untouched. THANK YOU. Polish was applied immaculately. Cons? Awful magazine selection, and the chemical smell got a little overwhelming near the end of my visit. Nothing to deter me from returning. Went in Thursday afternoon without an appointment and was taken care of right away. Tina took care of me and she was really nice. I asked her to file my nails short and square and I love the way she filed them. Most of the nail salons I went to always file it uneven, but tina did a great job filing them. I got the powder gel manicure and at the end she used a UV light. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be done since it's my first time getting the powder, but I thought you didn't need uv for powder? Overall I love the way my nails look, but I didn't like that there was uv light used. read more

Today was my second time coming here and I can report as a Yelp Elite member, it's not bad. There wasn't a wait when I arrived which was awesome - there was a rush 30 minutes later. The young lady who tended to me was pleasant but not talkative which wasn't a bad thing as I was reading my magazine anyway. I got a mani/pedi and her massage skills were great!!!!!! Been going here for a few months off and on...I'm not eager to go because I don't think they do a great job. Tried another place up the street only to realize they don't clean their tools. The girl I seem to get stuck with every time does a horrible job painting..I have to make her start over a couple of times. They barely rub the bottom of my feet..thank goodness I do that at home..but I'm paying for it. I will give it to them they are clean. I have tried MANY nail salons especially in my neighborhood (Canarsie) and I've been disappointed every time. I've tried a few along Church Ave near this salon and though they are better nowhere is as attentive or uses better products than Eve's. I drive a half hour just to come here. A gel mani/pedi is at least an hour and half pure pampering pleasure. Suzanne is my go to girl because her foot/leg/hand massage is worth every penny. I have such a weird story about this place: Me and my friends and my little sister (8) went to this nail salon because it's just a little walk away from my house. When we walk in, and there are like 15 ladies, but there aren't any customers so they are all just sitting around. It was really awkward, but then again, it always is. So we all getting our pedicures and talking. It's pretty good, nothing fancy. Then, my little sister is finished and like I said, there were like 8 extra ladies just standing around us. So 4 ladies pick up my little sister and CARRY her to the dryers. (????) Then, when I am finished, a lady GRABS my arm and pulls me out of my chair. I say that I need my shoes and she mumbles something. Then, she practically pulls me to the dryers. She was like grabbing my arm! Wtf??? The owner did a great job on my nails because I was admiring them all day long. I have no complaints about the service. The salon looked clean and refreshing compared to others that I've been to. Also, he gave me a decent hand massage for a good 2 minutes. I wish it was longer because it seemed like he was distracted. Other than that, I think it was a good value $7 for a manicure and $2 tip. More than a month ago, I had a great manicure and pedicure experience. I had French gel manicure and pedicure that lasted more than a month. My nails not only looked beautiful, it lasted for a long time. A couple of days after I got my nails done, a small portion of my nail and toe nail polish peeled off, and I went back one week after, and one of the ladies fixed my problem areas free of charge. I just found out thay eves nail and nails plus are the same owner!! Nothing wrong with owning more than one store but trying to deceive customers setting up two nail salons on one block is crazy. You gotta feel bad for the salon in the middle of all that. I regularly go for mani pedi and waxing. But I got an infection from a wax I got at eves then I go to nails plus and I see the same person that was untrained to do any type of waxing working there. A regular customer there tells me they have untrained workers rotating from store to store . Disgusting!! Beaware of this salon. Will definitely report to the state. read more

It's pretty much exactly what you'd get a giant Manhattan place like Spa Belles, but it's a fraction of the size, and costs about 75% less. Yes, it's that much cheaper. As with any place, it pretty much depends who you get, but I've never gotten a bad pedicure or wax here. They've never made my eyebrow shape kinda weird (which is more than I can say for other places), and the ladies will definitely take a tweezer to your face and get out every last chin hair if, like me, you have bionic hair that fights with its every molecule to not be wrested from your face. read more

My experience has been great the majority of the time, no mistakes only at times when I changed my regular mani and pedicure person, there was discomfort here and there due to rushing (not a recent issue).
