The project Polo bid for me was to install three L2…read morecar chargers in the garage of a multi-family building, which - beyond the just the chargers - required upgrading the service to the garage from 20a to 100a, running perhaps 60' of roof-run conduit; 60' of trenching; lots of 2" conduit; two new 200a panels; and tying it all together to the existing 400a service at the front of the building and the existing "common area" panel in the middle of the property. Polo gave a competitive quote; worked thru several complications and design iterations, incorporating both some incremental upgrades I requested such as an additional conduit line for future low-voltage needs, and working within the tight physical constraints and limited upgrade options of the existing panel, exploring a few alternatives with both PG&E and the original equipment manufacturer to get to a solution that worked for the property, the utility, and the city. Once we finalized the details, Polo & his team took care of the work very quickly and professionally. There were no surprises during the job; and he provided tight quality control on his team, redoing a few things that almost certainly would have passed inspection but which were not to his liking. And - as someone who has done more than my share of electrical projects in the past - its very clear that he takes pride in his work: he used flex conduit only in a few very small areas, doing very clean EMT conduit bends just about everywhere else. I wish I had more projects I could engage him on! I wholeheartedly recommend Polo / Lumisol.

Hancock did a superb job on wiring up our lighting fixtures and setting up the electrical groundwork in order for us to finish our suspension drop ceiling. Even though everything was a tight and perfect fit with little room to spare, he was still able to accommodate and make it work out in the end. Our biggest concern was safety as we were trying to achieve that semi-commercial setup but Hancock was able to offer a solution without having to overcomplicate things in which we were very happy about. When I put out bids to install, HNES and Fuse responded. Randy from HNES called and explained exactly what the job entails and how he would commission the GE Energy equipment. The way he explained gave me a lot of confidence and decided to go with him. Unfortunately, Randy has been going through treatment of leukemia and was not able to personally visit the site and supervise the installation. But his team started the project and took much longer than promised since they were not trained on the GM Energy equipment. In spite of lack of experience with GM equipment, final outcome was excellent. Even after completing the installation, they continue to monitor and help with any issues that crop up. Randy and his team communicated with me at very well at every step and provided me with every information I needed. At the end of it, they did a thorough job and have finished the job to my satisfaction. They have tied all the loose ends together. I wish Randy a speedy recovery from his cancer. Find someone else for your job. It's not worth the headache…read more I should have listened to the other low rating reviews. My experience was very similar to them. I hired HNES to install two SPAN panels (main and sub) at my home, and what I was told would be done within month, but it ended up taking them 5 months for complete the job. They didn't even start the permit process until months into project, and filed the permits incorrectly multiple times. I felt I was being gaslit over and over about it being done soon, and would repeatedly get excuses for the delay. The installer would arrive late and would never respond to any of my texts. The owner did not seem very familiar with the new SPAN system, and in multiple instances started yelling at me for asking questions to understand how the system works, which was a giant red flag. To cap it off their pricing wasn't even that competitive. I got a quote from FUSE halfway into the process for 4k less than it cost me from HNES, and I am confident it would have probably been done within a few weeks, but it was too late for me to back out. I thought maybe it would be good to get smaller business to do the job because you'd get better customer service, but that was completely wrong. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because in the end the job was completed, and seems to be working as intended. But I would never recommend this business to anyone. There are better people to do the job out there.
