Today is a hot day and the last thing I wanted to do was ask to have my engine/battery checked for problems. But after jump starting my car 7 times I was finished with it and needed some answers. It is hot outside so it's not surprising everyone in the store didn't jump up to help me diagnose my car. Honestly there is no blame from me on that one. But David stepped up to the plate and came out to help me with my car. He is very knowledgeable and patient. He knew exactly what needed to be tested and had a diagnosis pretty quickly. Given the amount of times I've had to jump my car (btw... those little portable automotive jump starters work great and are really worth the price to have on hand in your car at all times.) I'm not at all surprised I need a new battery. Timing is never the best for car repairs but I'm thankful for Auto Zone and David's help to point me in the right direction. Several years ago, I left my headlights on at the airport and ran my battery down. I called AAA and the AAA guy insisted I needed a new battery. I later called AAA and complained that I did not believe I needed a battery, just a jobp and they needed to turn that guy down. AAA suggested I have Autozone check the battery, They gladly came out and checked it in the car and most profoundly told me, "There is nothing wrong with this battery". This morning, years later, I am going back to AutoZone to buy a new battery. read more

I have to give a big shout out to Charlie and Salvador! My car battery died on me and although they were short staffed and weren't able to replace it for me, they both went above and beyond to help me have it replaced outside the store. They were both very professional and kind providing me with any tool I needed to get the job done. At one point I accidentally spilled the hardware out of the tool Box they lent me to use and I know if I was working there I would have gotten annoyed but instead Charlie was very kind and helped gather all the scattered hardware never showed any sign of being upset or annoyed and continued to help me with a smile on his face. Because of their professionalism and kind service, this location will now be my go to spot. I can't thank them enough and I hope they are recognized by their manager for their outstanding service they provide their customers and receive compensation for it. I had a good experience at this AutoZone thanks to an employee named Brandon. From the moment I walked in, it was clear he takes pride in his work -- he was constantly moving, cleaning, stocking, and staying productive. There were about six employees working at the time; aside from roughly two who were busy, the rest didn't seem very eager to help customers as they stood around looking to kill time, which made Brandon stand out even more. Even while staying busy, he remained attentive, helpful, and helped create a positive, professional atmosphere in the store. Walked in here to get air mass flow sensor and some windshield wipers. I had one young persons help but really confused on what to do it guess he was still a little new. Thats when another person name Brandon real chill guy real helpful went the extra miles to help explain what's going on with my husband's car needed to change some coils sparkplugs master flow sensor and research for us and really help guide us on getting wat we need at a good price. Came here a while back for a new car battery. The employee was very helpful in getting us the battery we needed for our vehicle. He was patient in helping out two old biddies get a new battery for a up coming road trip. He had a bit of a hard time getting out the old battery and putting in the new one, but he was successful. I needed a left hand blinker light for my Ford Expedition. The store said they would help me install, but was short handed and come back in another day. The store clerk showed me a video how to install. 2 days later, I asked the store to help me that the video was different for my car. . There was 4 clerks in the store, and only one person said they would help. His name was Art. Art told me that the store could not be responsible for installing anything anymore. Me, a 75 yr old woman was willing to take all responsibility. Art helped install the blink light out in the rain and said the other side needs to be changed out also. He was right. The right side was ready to burn out. He helped install that one also. I truly appreciate the help in the store and out of the store. On my way to San Fran, and a quick stop here to replace some windshield wipers, had an awesome experience here with the manager who offered to help install the wipers for me! The service was quick, the place was easy to get to, and no frets about anything here. I love the pleasure of writing this review - CHRIS (customer service at the store) not only installed the headlights I bought there, saving my husband the trouble, but also polished the plastic covers after I bought the kit. I haven't been treated so solicitously at an auto store ever, and this made a long, hot week end on a very bright note. He was cheerful, upbeat and a delight to talk to. Worst customer service and response. They are not CHEAP EITHER. Tried all day to get simple answer for a battery I purchased, and all they kept doing is putting me on hold. For over 10 minutes at a time. Making some dumb excuses that their phone is messed up. Go to the Fleamarket you will probably get a better service . I'm gonna go buy a battery somewhere else, but demand a refund from these over priced terrible store. Also gonna write a formal complaint to their district manager and corporate office. read more

This review is on Jay's customer service. My vehicle broke down in the parking lot next door. I thought that I needed a jump. In fact, I asked 3 people before going into the store to ask for a battery box charger type thing (I clearly know lots about cars). He offered to take his portable jump box to start my car. We walked over to my car where it would not start...even after 10 minutes. We went back to the store and I bought a battery. Jay walked the battery back to the vehicle with the tools and replaced my battery. He went above and beyond, making conversation the entire time. Jay- I greatly appreciate what you did. Normally I don't have problems with this store. But yesterday I was extremely upset with their horrible customers service from kids who work there. I returned a new alternator that I had bought on line. And they kid issues a refund instead, without asking me if I wanted a refund or exchange then he says I have to pay for another alternator because the order was already in place. I told him to cancel because I wasn't sure what to do. then he says. "There's nothing I can do" and walks away. the refund is in place and I needed to pay another $200 alternator or wait for the refund to arrive. 3-5 business days on a xmas weekend. Totally unprofessional I've been a loyal customer for a long time. Not a loyal customer anymore he should have asked me if I wanted a refund or exchange or what I was thinking of doing. I needed to but synthetic oil for my car. One quart, that was it. I walked in, grabbed what I needed. The guy at the register was on the phone, another employee showing two other employee's how to bench test a alternator. I stood by and waited to be helped. I then watched as a hispanic male walked in and was helped by the employee that was on the phone. This employee knew I had been waiting as he looked right at me, yet never acknoleged me. I asked the employee's at the other end of the couter if they could ring me up for my purchase and was ignored. I then put the oil on the counter and walked out. I guess my money is not wanted here, but hey atleast O'Riley's is across the street, so that is where i spent my monty, got the GOOD CUSTOMER EXPIERANCE and was helped. read more

Generally helpful service. Competitive prices. Usually has what I need in stock. Sometimes the wait is a bit longer, but if there are multiple people there, they will open up more registers. My one complaint is that I had an issue with a battery under warranty, but they insisted that their machine was saying the battery was still good. It wouldn't start my car, so what am I supposed to do? Spend hundreds of dollars fixing other stuff that doesn't need to be fixed? Got a different battery and it worked great, so their machine obviously needs to be re-calibrated or they need a test starter to test the battery current (cold cranking amps). Now my replacement battery doesn't have a warranty. read more

This location is only a few years old. I think it replaced an old Burger King... anyways, I appreciate this place much more than I do a gross burger. The store is bright and clean on the inside and the customer service was quick and helpful. before my last visit, I checked online for parts before coming into the store. I was so frustrated by my experience at Autozone, that I actually had my car towed directly across the street to O'Reillys.

We get there with no headlights working and find out the store is closed 20 minutes earlier than their actual closing time. Why would they advertise different store hours when people have real emergencies? After almost getting into an accident because we could hardly see the road we desperately knocked on the door but received no response. We had no other option but to drive away with no lights and terrified to drive off the road or hit cars:( Please update your store hours on the internet to avoid misleading people, especially those who are in danger! read more

My car didn't want to start this morning so I went to AutoZone since I've heard on the radio that they can check car batteries. A guy in a red shirt named Felix started helping me as I entered the store he was stocking items but quickly asked me and took me to a computer, he then said let's go test your battery once I opened my hood he noticed the battery really HOT and said that could be a sign of a bad battery. He then asked his store manager that was on lunch it looked like, If was ok to test it even though it was Hot and looked bulged up. He said yeah it was ok so Felix tested it and it read good battery 100% but his store manager told him that it wasn't 100% accurate sometimes so to uninstall the battery and to put it on their inside tester to confirm it was a bad battery. I was surprised they were going to go thru all that trouble to make sure I needed a battery. So Felix uninstalled it and sure enough the tester said bad. I purchased a new one and Felix put it right back in. Easy took less than an Hour to get me back on the road to get back to me buying stuff for this power outage! Thank you Felix and store manager didn't get his name but he drove a white Honda. Will definitely be my auto part store to go to! And recommend. read more

trying to get an oil filter for a 2010 Jetta just now and this young kid asked what kind of engine, my husband tells him they're all the same. This know it all, arrogant, young kid said he can't help unless we know the type of engine and walked away. My husband looked it up in the book himself and found that ALL 2010 jetta's use the same oil filter like he said and this young man have a lot to learn and should listen to old people because duh, they know what they're talking about. read more

I dont like this place. There is only a couple people in here worth dealing with. There product sucks. Everytime I go in there, prices are always $10-$20 more then napa autoparts on the other side of town. And thats for there crappy parts. I went in to buy inner tie rods for my acura vigor, and they wanted $129 each. And had to order them out and would not be there for 3 or 4 days. I went to napa and I picked them up for $14.99 each. What gives? And if you think they are garbage for that price, you are wrong. They are great parts. Go to napa. Great staff great parts. read more

Most of the workers here don't know nothing about cars measurements or about their store. There was an old guy who I asked for a 12mm screw and he gave me a 33mm, when I told him he was wrong he got mad and left. I thought he was going to comeback with the correct screw but didn't came back. And last time, there was a young man, probably early 20's, who I asked where his screws and bolts were located and he had no idea. I go to this autozone 4-5 times a week, sometimes more. we have a fleet of over 15 vehicles plus a lot of equipment. Finding parts is sometimes hard, looking for cross reference in filter numbers and what not and its time consuming sometimes. I prefer a very nice lady that works there named Cindy. Extremely nice and knowledgeable. If there is an issue she really tries to figure a solution and doesn't rush or give up and say try somewhere else. 5 star. read more

Since they opened, I have had great experience here. Here's my latest example: I had left the dome light on in my car parked at the airport and the battery was really dead. A week later, when I returned AAA had to come out and jumper the car. I subsequently got an email from AAA saying they had tested my battery and it needed to be replaced, and they could bring one out and install it. (Ambiguous labor cost) My battery was not very old and was now working just fine, but since I then had my car in a local garage to do an oil change, I asked them what it would cost to check my battery: ans? $120, So then I asked, how much is a new battery? ans: around $150 then I asked, how much to install it? ans: $120. So that dead battery could have cost $340! I later called AAA and asked exactly what tests they did since all I saw was jumpering my car. Ultimately AAA suggested I have AZ check it. I took the car in, and Jesus (I think) brought his test gear out to the car. The battery was 100% charged. He put a load on it, and it had a 94% recovery (acceptable) -in short, my battery was just fine and he recommended I NOT replace it, but said they would replace it for free when I needed a new one. This year out of necessity I got new windshield wipers at a competitor. However while on the freeway one literally broke off!!!
