Upon my consultation, she made sure to note all aspects of my health and past eating habits, and created a delicious customized meal plan based on my preferences, as I am primarily plant based. These plans also integrate meal prep into them, which has reduced my snacking tendencies, as I can just grab my prepped meals from the fridge. I had a previous bad experience at a different clinic, and I was super nervous to see another doctor in the city. Dr. Kostant was super kind and informative. The office is really clean and comfortable; there is a nice selection of beverages you can enjoy. I would mention if the strings to your IUD are missing prior to your appointment, because there is some medication that you can take beforehand that can help with that process. I was still able to take the medicine during my appointment, and Dr. Kostant made the time for me to complete my procedure the same day. I was able to use laughing gas and local anesthesia for my procedure, which was definitely an interesting experience. I have a follow-up appointment scheduled in two weeks, and I am sure I will be all set for the next 10 years!

The doctor that I did see here was only in the room with me for 5 minutes, so they must have a booming practice here. I made an appointment at Mount Sinai Comprehensive center because there wait was only a month. The location is a little less convenient, but I'm not going to wait 5 months to be seen for a health issue.

Having someone to be accountable to is always helpful, but I didn't feel like I was getting much insight beyond what I've read in books or online. I had to pre-pay for my time with her and when we weren't connecting and I didn't think I had much more to learn from her, I still had to pay for the two months of sessions I no longer wanted to attend. It's her policy and that's fine, it just really didn't work out for me and I would have loved some recourse for the situation I found myself in.
