After going to 3 podiatrists and suffering from 1 nail with fungus to 9, I was at wits end. Kaina at medi pedi was Amazing! She gave me hope that my feet could actually look better one day! This was my first time ever getting a medical pedi. Got a gift card for Christmas. Was super satisfied with the treatment and Kaina was very thorough and knowledgeable with her recommendations. What a wonderful experience! I have been struggling to get rid of toe nail fungus for some time and haven't had a pedicure for years because of it. My podiatrist has me using Tolcyclen, but it is a very slow process to get rid of it. Isabella treated my feet with such gentleness and care. It felt amazing, absolutely no pain, and my feet and toenails feel healthy and refreshed. She recommended gel thin aligners for my toes and told me to use a hair dryer after showering to dry any extra moisture underneath the nail as my nail had curved and lifted from the nail bed. The office is extremely clean and hygienic. My sister and I made a group appointment and traveled from out of state to come here based on reviews and family recommendations. What I got: Medical Pedicure ($103 December promotion; normal price $206) Aya's take: I came across Medi Pedi on social media and since they were doing a 50% off promotion, I decided to try out a Medical Pedicure. I've always gotten regular pedicures at nail salons but this is the clinical version of a salon pedicure. It was more focused on your foot health, enhancing toenail & skin appearance, and preventing any foot complications. I didn't come in with any issues but my feet felt super refreshed after. They were cleaned, moisturized, filed, polished, and any dead skin was removed. The whole process took about 1 hour. My technician was Isabella who did a great job and was very hygienic! At their normal price, it's not as worthwhile for me since I don't have any issues to address but at the discounted price, it was a solid try! PS, they do take credit card but cash payments are not taxed if you want to save a few dollars. read more

My feet felt noticeably healthier and cleaner, and I appreciated the clinical attention to hygiene. This is clearly a place that takes foot health seriously, and I felt confident I was in good hands with zero risk of nail fungus or infection. That said, I was disappointed to learn after making a no-cancellation reservation that they do not offer nail polish -- at all. This wasn't made clear during booking, and some of the photos I saw leading up to my appointment showcased polished nails, which added to the confusion. While I respect their focus on medical-grade care, I was hoping for a service that could combine that level of cleanliness with a polished finish. I have been coming to Medi Pedi for years and it's been a mixture of experiences. This last time was not one of the better ones, the service felt rushed and incomplete and the following day my feet felt dry and rough. This is not usually the case when I am able to book with my regular person. The person I saw was pleasant and professional but I didn't like the way she shaped my nails and there wasn't a lot of attention to detail otherwise my feet would have felt soft the next day and beyond. We originally highly recommended this business.Now Our rating would be a one for nasty attitude but our feet were smooth enough so its as we stated above. Unfortunately the atmosphere has changed and not for the better. We were running on time and had to call the office for the address. We received incorrect directions and it made us late, our subway let us out right by the business and the employee directed us to what sounded like a new location 20 blocks away. When we finally arrived we explained to the owner that her employee is giving the wrong directions and information out. She became angry and said she does not want bad vibes in her salon, she claims she hired them legally from Ukraine and that they have been under pressure. We never implied they weren't legal and we weren't rude to the ladies....Of course we believe her but we think the owner should write the address down for the employees so they don't make mistakes.She didn't like hearing anything ......Mind you, if you agree she's great then she loves you, if you make a tiny complaint even in a nice voice she is a changed woman. I waited to write this review but she was so different from the 1st time to the LAST that we had to write this. Pros- 1. Clean like a Dr officeI 2.We had smooth feet when the owner did them.(She took photos of them which we think is weird!" Cons- 1.One appt a male employee scraped my foot to low causing an abrasion/cut that burned when swimming! 2. A new nasty attitude with loads of religious reference! TRASH!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. Customer service is GHETTO! Booked my appointment weeks ago. Get a text message 2 days before asking if I can be accommodating & come in 15 minutes earlier. I agree to accommodate them and come in earlier on my appointment day. I log on to my account the day of my appointment to get their address and see my appointment is cancelled. After I took the day off from work to take my elderly mom. I called their office & they literally just gave my appointment away & want to reschedule me. The person who's had the appointment for weeks & not cancel the appointment of the person who they just gave my appointment to. That's not how you fix a problem you created. I'm so torn on this one. On the positive side, my nail technician was extremely diligent and worked hard on my feed - she really went to town and they looked and felt better than when I walked in. Though she spent over an hour on them, the visit left me feeling like maybe I would've been better seeing an actual podiatrist for some of my issues. I came in here after wearing nail polish on my toes for probably over a year without giving my nails a break. My podiatrist had warned me against this previously, and I'd developed what he calls "superficial fungus" on the top of my nails again - a white, powdery looking fungus. My nail tech said this was just dryness. One of my big toes has some discoloration on it that I suspect might be fungus, but my nail tech said it just has to grow out. If you have no serious feet issues to address and just want a natural pedicure that helps get your feet and nails looking healthier then yes, this is the place. But I left wishing for a part 2 with a podiatrist and a spot that could offer such a thing. I think the $200 price tag would be totally worth it if that were possible but again, just my two cents! read more

I wanted my feet fixed. I wasn't there to relax or get a massage. I was there to get the thick callouses off my heals and they did just that. They fix your feet. I'm a big guy and I was afraid they were going to waste time pampering me and that's not why I was there. They didn't. They were like a garage for my feet. They gave them complete maintenance! 1st time client today with mani pedi and I must say I will definitely come back. The room was super clean like a doctor's office. My tech Rodrigo was gentle, informative about what I needed vs. what I wanted. lol trust me there's definitely a difference. Think of this service to address dry skin, cracked heels and calloused foot areas that should not be covered at a regular nail salon. There's no water or nail polish involved. High tech gadgets are used to rid you of all the unwanted skin which builds up. I brought some amazing foot lotion and a new foot file as recommended. I had been using the wrong kind all of my life. Just the education on what I needed was worth the price point. I tipped 20 percent. I was recommended to go every 2 to 3 months. I've recently been shying away from regular nail salons and wearing polish every day and have certainly quite gel mani/pedi after so many reports of that process being a problem with the skin. Also, at a regular nail place I've been cut on my foot where I started bleeding and the pain was unbearable. Highly recommend! I have received a couple bad pedicures elsewhere in the last year where the nails are cut wrong and cause ingrown's. I am a hairdresser that stands on my feet all day. The pain these ingowns cause is awful. I wasn't sure if I should go to a podiatrist. I decided to give this a try first and it worked for me sooo good. They were able to remove the ingrown, the nails are cut how they should be and cleaned in a way that no spa has ever done, not even the fancy ones. The pain is gone and I can stand/walk again with no pain. This was my second visit and I think I will treat my self every few months for an in depth tune up. Worth every penny! read more

CLOSE BUT NOT CLOSE ENOUGH This is a harder review to write. GOOD The staff is pleasant, efficient and diligent. The treatment was competent enough, There are air filters (or air vacuums) to clean the air from errant micro particles. And the technician did a........ decent..... treatment My nails and feet looked far better after the session. And, I had no particular issues. THE NOT SO GOOD Nothing about the experience is "rock star". I see a Libyan podiatrist in Dubai and a podiatrist in Los Angeles (who looks older than Methuselah) . I've also been to podiatry clinics in London, Bermuda, and Hong Kong. And, here's the rub: NOTHING about the MediPedi NYC experience left me walking away feeling "wow" I am prone to ingrowns. And I love someone that expertly "gets in there", pairing back concerning nail edges, files / polishes and does all that razzmatazz -- maintainence work before anything goes awry. The MediPedi job was "pretty" and I left feel like it was a competent job. And, its nothing to write home about. This was every-day any anonymous neighbourhood pedicure with a few more soft frills. SUMMARY Will I go back? Probably not. Frankly? The Vietmanese nail spa that I frequent in Chelsea does a better and more comprehensive job! read more
