I had the beef Pho, it was amazing. The dumplings as an appetizer were delicious. My husband had the lemongrass beef and got it spicy. it was delicious and so hot. Our daughter got the sweet & sour chicken. I think she was expecting the normal fried chicken Chinese version. My husband and I shared her leftovers and we enjoyed it. Service was excellent and just an enjoyable dinner experience. Highly recommend!

The banh mi had a delicious, toasty bun, TONS of chicken, and good veggies. The ratio was perfect and the sauce was well balanced. Nothing bad at all to say about it, but I could have probably gone with a half instead of a whole portion. I'm excited to eat here again and try some of the more traditional entrees. A hidden gem in downtown Menomonee Falls, it's going to become a regular lunch spot for me.

I visited Evie's recently with my wife for dinner. The restaurant is in a cozy storefront and appears clean and nicely decorated. We were seated quickly and given menus. There was a bit of a wait before a server arrived to take our order. This was a little unusual because the restaurant was not very busy. When it became clear to the staff that we were looking for our server, someone came to take our orders. My wife had a Thai iced coffee and the shrimp Bahn Mi sandwich and I ordered the Bun Thit Nuong. My meal arrived very quickly and my wife's shortly after. It was unusual that they didn't come together. Regardless, both meals were delicious. We ordered an additional Bahn Mi to take home for our son partway through our dinner so it would arrive as we finished. Again it took a long time and there was some confusion with the staff as to who ordered it. Someone from the kitchen walked past us twice carrying the food and it wasn't until several minutes later when we asked the server that he came back with the food. Overall, the food was very good but the service was lacking. It seems like their system is not very good. We will be back for the food again. Hopefully their service will improve.

Wow. Just wow. One of things I look forward to the most about winter's arrival is the opportunity to eat my body weight in Pho by Spring. I got an early start this year and came to Evie's for the first time. I HAVE NEVER HAD MORE FLAVORFUL BROTH IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I almost hated adding sriracha because I didn't want it to detract from that unbelievable broth flavor. This was probably the best pho I've had in recent memory, possibly ever. Very generous amount of meat, veggies, and noodles. This was easily 3 meals. I also got a pork banh mi sandwich and it had this very flavorful sauce which complemented the moist and generous portions of pork. The bread was perfectly soft and fresh. I live 25 minutes away from this restaurant and wouldn't think twice about making the trek for the best Pho in town.

Stopped in for dinner. I ordered the spring rolls and beef pho. I thought the spring rolls were good but had a crunchy slim stick of maybe cinnamon and smaller shrimp. I've had better at many places. The beef pho was excellent! Your not choosing the meat and so it came as a combo with meatballs and tender flank steak in good proportions. The broth was very flavorful which had cilantro already in the bowl and then the side plate had the basil and other fixings as normal. Plenty of noodles perfectly cooked. It was a large portion for a very fair price too. Worth a visit and regular stop if it's consistent.

The food was good. It was much better on the prior visit and they've remodeled since then. The booths made it feel classier than the new tables with the open long bar showing TVs going with cooking shows. Not much seafood on the pho and when you delete two of the seafood items you'd think they'd add more of the ones you like. Orange Chicken was okay. Just okay. Nothing extra special overall but it was tasty. Veggies were a bit undercooked. We were undercharged or given the wrong bill and I gave a staff member in the back the incorrect bill and advised what we had and how they needed to charge us correctly. Then we waited 5-10 min for a correction and finally went to the front to ask for the bill so we could leave. Our server was unaware of the issue until the other staff member walked up to say she was not sure whose bill we got. There were only 4 other occupied tables, 3 of which were seated with single diners. Other than the mixup which caused a bit of a delay (and we were on a time limit because of a babysitter), it was good.

Note, I'm a crazy pho eater that has to have pho from all over. I travel far and in between the states. Eating from LA, Vegas, MN, WI, MI, IL, OH, Manhattan, FI, KS, MS, GA, canada, etc. I make reviews after tasting their pho. I know what pho is good and what is fake! Being Hmong, I try not to be bias, "only Vietnamese people can cook pho! The restaurant started from a Vietnamese owner." Evie's Vietnamese Kitchen A friend of mine suggested this place. We came and were really surprised at the decor and crowd. It was highly packed. I've been to a few places like this restaurant. It's a decor orgy. Really. Well designed. A lot of thought went into decorating this place. Wow! Onto the food. The pho was decent. The menu says it all. They really don't cater to pho. Everything else is made to perfection. That would explain the low Asian customers vs American customers ratio. Nothing bad. Money is money. How does this compare to PHO 4 U Vietnamese Cuisine? These two places are good competitors. The decor here is excellent. The decor at PHO 4 U Vietnamese Cuisine is very basic. Pho? Here it's average but at PHO 4 U Vietnamese Cuisine, it's their TOP signature dish. See the difference. In addition, here "beef pho" should really be called "Pho Dac Biet" Also, they service mixed drinks and bubble tea as their special at this restaurant. Oh, the bathroom here is top notch in design and clean. Enjoy. Both are excellent restaurants Highly recommended

Solid four-star Vietnamese restaurant. Clean dining room with lots of traditional Vietnamese decor. If you are in the area and want to get Asian food in a comfortable relaxing restaurant with TV, this is the place to go. The beef pho is good and tastes on point. The lemongrass beef is flavorful, juicy and slightly spicy - nothing wrong but just a bit like what the American Chinese fast food chain can offer. Parking is free and so easy.

Saw this place while driving home. Stopped in after seeing good reviews from trusted Elites. The menu is small with minimal descriptions, but my server was knowledgeable and was able to answer my questions. I asked of the Banh Mi included all traditional ingredients, including the pate. It did not, so I skipped the Banh Mi and ordered rhe Hanoi Dumplings as my appetizer. They were deep fried, filled with pork, and served with soy sauce. There were 5 dumplings to an order and they had good flavor. The small (or medium - smaller of the two sizes) beef pho was plenty of food. It inluded a couple of halved meatballs, sliced beef, and a few small pieces of tendon. The broth was very good. I didn't have to add anything to it to meet my taste preferences. There were plenty of noodles and beef was very tender. It may seem harsh but if the banh mi offerings were more traditional, I would have given 5 stars, assuming it was well-executed. I would eat here again for the pho, other apps, and other entrees and specials. Tonight's special was Vietnamese Beef Ribs, which looked like Korean style in the photo. I would have ordered that if someone else was here to share the pho and special with. I recommend you give this place a try!

Tried to find another Vietnamese restaurant in the Waukesha area, after my okay experience last time I came here for work. I found this place, and it had great reviews so I wanted to check it out. It was a bit of a drive, about 25 minutes. When I arrived I could see from the outside that the front was packed. When I walked in I noticed that the back had more seating and also here was a good crowd. I was promptly seated, and ordered a Banh Mi and the regular Seafood Pho, my standard order I realized. The Banh Mi was with beef, and arrived quickly, usually at Pho restaurants I receive the Pho first. Not a problem, it kinda surprises me. Any way it was delicious, I loved that they put the jalapeño on the side and not in the sandwich. Loved it! The Pho was good too, good thing I got the regular cause it was pretty large portion. Finished my meal with a hot Vietnamese coffee, which had a rich taste, and took also care of my sweet tooth...sweet as it was. I really enjoyed my meal, it was worth the drive, and to come back next time I'm back in the area. Service is fast and friendly, great place.

Ok, so, I kinda loved my experience at Lucky Ginger from beginning to end…read more Myself and my dining companion dropped by without reservations and were able to get a spot at the bar. That said, I'd likely get reservations were I to stop by again. They're a bustling little spot and saw several groups who weren't able to get a table without reservations while we were there. Where we sat at the bar, we were able to see the kitchen and our food (and others) begin prepared which was fun to see (and also nice from a transparency standpoint). Let me tell you--they are hustling in that kitchen! I began with a berry smash whiskey cocktail which was refreshing and fantastic. For my dinner, I got the bbq salmon which came with a salad to start and rice and asparagus on the side. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The only small note I had was I would have loved more asparagus but honestly, I could probably ask for a side of that next time to amp up the veggies. The service was lovely and the prices were reasonable. Get to it!

Absolutely awful service. We came in at around 5:30pm, and the place barely had anyone there. We…read moresaid we didn't have a reservation, so they said we had to sit at the bar. So, we did. But luckily my husband quickly checked well before we were served and saw there were reservations available online, so he booked us one on the spot. We were then given two excuses, one by the bartender and a different one by the host as to why they couldn't honor the reservation: (1) there were no tables available for us (note the place was half empty, but we supposed maybe there were lots of reservations coming later--nope, the place was still half full by the time we left); (2) we had to make the reservations 30-40 minutes in advance and we didn't do that so even though we did have a reservation, they couldn't honor it because we made it too soon to the reservation time (WOW--complete BS). We were peeved but decided we should just enjoy our dinner. BUT as we were finishing up, about 5 couples came in WITHOUT a reservation and both the host and the bartender gave each couple the option to either sit at the bar or at a table. When I confronted the bartender about it, she claimed "they weren't supposed to do that." WHAT?! She literally just offered a couple a table without a reservation. What do you mean?! It was insulting. Anyway, we will absolutely NEVER come back here. The tip we left was solely for the kitchen staff who were hard at work and doing an honest job. Bartender and hosts are discriminatory and awful. Do NOT recommend if you are looking to be treated with respect. Would give zero stars if that were an option.
