Fine brewery with a cool vibe. Came on a Sunday in early March. Had the option of indoor or outdoor seating on a nice day. Opted to sit at the bar indoors. Got a beer and sangria. Husband liked the Wild Tang seasonal sour. I found it a bit just sour without much additional flavor. The bartender was fine, not overly helpful but not offensive. I got a glass of sangria and was shocked at the $11 price tag though- it wasn't that good. They allowed dogs on the outdoor patio which was nice and appear to have a food truck during more peak times. The parking lot is giant, partially paved and partially gravel. We stopped by here after my son graduated from college. This place was actually chosen by my son and his girlfriend and they made reservations for 6:30. Our entire party of about 14 people were there on time. A few people in our party needed lower seating so we were moved outside. The weather was nice so that was no problem. Our server started off nice. Because this isn't a positive review, I will refrain from naming the server. The server took out drink orders, came back with them and water, then took orders for appetizers and main courses. So, let's say we were reseated at around 6:40. By 8:00, we still had not received our main courses. A few people received appetizers. A couple of people never received the drinks that they ordered. Oh, I forgot to mention the smaller group of people who came after us, ordered and received their food before we did. We eventually asked for the manager and the manager apologized and then went on about how the kitchen had been slammed all day and that they were doing their best. Really? So I explained that basic customer service on the part of the server would have been to come back and keep us informed of what was going on. Our food eventually came out and most of it was cold, meaning that it had been cooked and had been sitting. The manager special ordered four orders of French fries for our group. I had ordered a smoked brisket sandwich that I was not happy with. It just didn't taste good. We went to EVO for a late lunch/early dinner with another couple. It was very disappointing in so many ways. First, I ordered a beer and when the waitress brought it out it was only about half a glass. She said that they ran out and would bring me a full glass when they changed it out. I took the first sip of the beer and all I could smell was the bleaching cleaner that they use on the glasses. I didn't say anything because I thought that I would be getting a fresh beer. The waitress came back out with a sample glass and told me that they said that would make a full beer. When I poured it in my glass, it filled it up about 2/3 of the way. Honestly, I have never seen anything like that. When you are paying $7 for a beer, you expect that you will get a good pour and not have to pour another glass of beer into your beer. I ordered two tacos, a smash burger and a shrimp taco. Eight dollars each. I asked for no onion on the smash burger, but I would leave the lettuce on. That taco came out with only a burger and cheese. It wasn't noted as spicy on the menu, but I specifically asked if the shrimp taco had anything spicy on it as I cannot eat anything spicy due to a medical condition. I took the first bite of the taco and apparently the coleslaw had something very, very spicy in it. So much so that had we not been with another couple, I would have spit it out. I just took the shrimp (3) out of the taco and ate them. Unfortunately, I paid for their mistake with pain all evening. My husband ordered a medium burger. It came out well done and dry. Went there Saturday with a group of 7 .ordered their Truffle fries , pretzels with three dips . Very tasty soft pretzels . We ordered two pizza's they were very good full of flavor . Then we ordered their hamburger only thing it was a bit dry . Liked the fries . Another brisket burger was very good . Risotto with scallops . For the price they should give at least 6 scallops . Impossible burger was good . Burger was fried . Overall a good experience. Drinks Watermelon margarita was not that good . Could be better . Their desserts we ordered didn't much care for them . Great beer selection and a good deal on the flights. Their pizzas are so unique - I had the harvest pizza with apple slices and balsamic glaze and my husband had the brisket. Lucas was our server for the evening. He was delightful! Offered good suggestions and answers our questions. Was polite and personable while effectively checking on our table. The crispy Brussel sprouts app was amazing! Such unique flavors! My manager got the Cuban with the sweet potato fries which he said was delicious. Our waiter JOEY was AWESOME..he was attentive and very sweet, his service alone would have us coming back. Evolution has figured it out. They have excellent servers, great indoor and outdoor spaces, and amazing food and beer. The day I visited they had several specials, including chili and a crab meat omelet that sounded fantastic. Yet, I decided to get the Cuban pizza; it's their Cuban sandwich on a thin crust pizza. It was spectacular. The dough was tasty and not too hard or crusty. I'm used to brew pubs doing burgers well, but they have my vote when they can pull off a pizza like this. I assumed the beer was good, however it was better than good - it was spot-on. Another nice thing is they have 4-beer flights. I'm used to more beers on a flight, yet this was neither too few nor too many. As an added bonus, the south-facing patio is soaked with sun all through the fall winter and spring. I frequently choose evo for our weekly dining spot but this past time may be our last. Our server was a bearded man, I didn't catch his name, but his actions were unforgettable. As we sat and waited for him to bring us drinks we watched him yell and berate 2 young girls who were also seemingly employees. He was very impatient with us taking our food orders and seemed to be more worried with arguing with them than tending to us. Same went for after we were served. A different person brought us the food and we did not see the server again until he was ready to drop the bill off. The food was great, no issue there. But I do not want my young daughters seeing a man talking to people, especially young girls, as we witnessed a few nights ago. The bad service was just the icing on the cake. I should have said something while there but he was our server and I did not want the confrontation while out with my family and instead used it as a learning experience for my chicken that this is exactly how not to behave. Once again, food was great and the service has been good previously but this was too much. We ordered dinner, we didn't need the show. After my 91.5 year old mothers funeral one mile up the street we had a wonderful family lunch!! I found you through a Google search and the reviews seemed promising. Myself, my three siblings and spouses along with our Dad really enjoyed all the dishes we had!! I especially liked the deviled eggs app (Very creative!! Great flavor) and my crab cake platter with string beans & potatoes was absolutely perfectly Eastern Shore delicious! The atmosphere was wonderful and warm!! Our server, Kyle, is a great asset to your restaurant. First, I am always impressed when a server can take an order without writing it down - which he did for our drinks! He was very charming and brought out refills as needed. The meals all arrived at the same time and everyone got what they ordered without the 'did your order the......' from the food runner. Came in for a meal and some craft beer and thought it was good, but really nothing more. I will say our server was very attentive and did a great job. I had the crab cake sandwich and was disappointed with the fact that it was so small. It seemed tiny compared to the bun they serve it on, but it was decent (not great) flavor. I also wasn't super impressed with their beers. I had the pineapple IPA. It was ok, but once again - that was about it. I've been here before several years ago, but feel that their quality has dropped off dramatically. Maybe that's not true overall or perhaps I fought them in a bad night, but I wasn't impressed this time. I will also say that my wife had their creamy crab soup and she loved it. Do I start with the atmosphere, food or service. The service was okay but we asked for the appetizer to come out first but everything came out at the same time. The only problem with this is that the appetizer either had to be eaten first. In which case our food would be cold. If we ate everything together the foods didn't pair well and would be unusual flavor combinations. The atmosphere in the back room was like sitting in a warehouse. It was sparse with uninteresting decorations on the wall. The service and atmosphere only caused the lose of one star, the balance of the lose came from the food. We had the Pot Stickers as an appetizer and they were very greasy with not a lot of flavor. My wife had the Brisket Sandwich topped with Coleslaw. The meat was extremely salty, that was the predominant taste, and was basically inedible. The Coleslaw was not. It was more like a sour pickled cabbage that was not good. I make both Brisket and Coleslaw at home and I would have served neither in my house. We thought about taking the Brisket home for the dog and decided it would not be good for him. I had the Cuban Sandwich which tastewise I think was pretty accurate but the bread was soggy and it was dripping with grease. We both had French Fries with the Beer Cheese dipping sauce. The French Fries were also soggy and oily. This is a one and done for us but I have had their beer on a few occasions, not at the brewery, and I liked it. read more

When some place is THIS good, I think I must shout it out again! We stopped in between appointments, and we're so glad we did! Evo is familiar and comfortable. We were greeted by Tamar, one of the best bartenders we know! As always, she was friendly and remembered my favorite draft (out of their many beers)! She was knowledgeable in helping my husband, when he asked for something similar to a Lite beer. The food is always terrific at Evo, but we decided to each have a crock of French Onion soup and to share their Naked Jumbo wings. The wings arrived first, piping hot and truly JUMBO! They made the chicken wings served at most other establishments look like pigeon wings! We found out why!- Morty, the Wing King (Tamar's coworker)! He explained the attention that is given to the wings so that he can make wings of such quality! Bravo Wing King! Our soup was brought out next in a crock with cheese melted around the exterior and crispy onion rings on top. A treat for our eyes before we even got to taste it! As we waited for our soup to cool a bit, a gentleman from behind the bar asked how we were. We explained we had the soup before and it needed to cool. We exchanged pleasantries, and assumed he might be a manager. As I said in the beginning of this post, we were "between appointments".(If not, I think we would've had to stay for another course!) We thanked the Wing King for the amazing wings, Tamar for her awesome ability to tend bar always kind and pleasant to customers. We also said goodbye to the "manager" named Tommy. Incidentally, we then found out that Tommy is, in fact, the owner. For the short time we talked with him, we see how Tommy is a role model for the wonderful staff he is lucky to call his! What happened to EVO? We've been there a handful of times over the years when in the area for sports. I made a reservation weeks ahead of time. Excellent beer, food, and space and kind service. I focused on tbt specialty brews--Rise Up Coffee Stout, Blurred Vines, and Lot. No 6. which were all great and are highly rated. Enticing food menu. I went with Primal fried chicken sandwich. I really like that they flatten the filet to fry it so it has a consistent thickness and fry and overflows the bun. Topped with a blue and bacon aioli and fresh l&t. Awesome fries-I upgraded to sweet potato. And they're thoughtfully served with a curry dipping sauce. Service was good despite being busy, our waitress took care of our needs when it came to drinks. The food was another thing. We got the shore style brunch fries for an appetizer. Crab dip inside was decent but there wasn't much, it's expected for the price. But the potatoes had zero seasoning and weren't very good. We also got the crabby pizza and this thing was trash. Hardly any crab meat to speak of and no type of sauce to soak up the dry pizza. Crust was good and crunchy but really needed some sort of creamy sauce or more crab. The wife got the sausage gravy and there was hardly any gravy, she did bring us more when it was asked. Overall the place look solid and has a nice vibe, but the food is average to below. But it is a brewery so you get what you get. read more
