Just got my phone screen fixed here. Great prices and such a cute shop to wait in while your phone is repaired, it was awesome! While he was fixing my phone he called me over to show me that there were missing screws. This was the second time I've cracked my screen and the only other folks who had been inside of my phone were at Batteries Plus. Go to Evolv, DO NOT GO TO A CHAIN OR BATTERIES PLUS. I also liked that he had complimentary water and soda while I waited. To be fair, you don't even really have to wait in here if you don't want to - there's tons of restaurants and Starbucks, etc. just a few steps away. But I enjoyed hanging out and watching TV (playing The Office, my favorite!) It's Feb.2023 ... I have a Iphone 11, bought new from major cell provider. That said... looked up yelp for local repair shops. Evolv is downtown and 5 star. Unlike so others. Short of it....He replaced the charging port ( 1 year warranty ) . Went to charge it that night.. same problem, no charge...water detected. Mad as hell next day I show up with a new charger and a month old one. Both with their charging cords. Told him the problem. He showed me the chargers were fine.. the cords are krap. Bought a much higher cord from him and works fine. Told me these cheap charging cables are the reason for the port failing and needing to be replaced. I now agree and will stand up for him anytime. Price is less then apple. Shop is nothing to write home about, thats okay. Good prices, warranty, great service. Solid stand up man. Better yet a man of Honor. I brought my dead phone in for an estimate. Luis was great, he was nice, honest, knew what was wrong with my phone without having to open it up. I was prepared to pay a high fee due to not knowing exactly what needed to be fixed. Luis told me immediately that my phone just needed a new battery and a new screen, total of $129. I gave it a go thinking this was a good price. about 40 minutes later, Luis handed me my phone, not only it works like new again, the bill was $89 plus tax because I had put in the new battery myself the night before that was how I messed up. I had two devices that needed to be repaired, an Ipad Mini and an Ipod touch. I called the store to get pricing information and Vanessa, one of the coowners answered right away. She was very helpful and asked me to bring the device in and they'd be happy to take a look and give me a quote. When I brought the device in, Luis, the owner helped me with my devices and explained what he would need to do to repair the devices. The repair only took one week for both devices which was pretty impressive since the damage was so severe. The ipad mini had issues with the charging port, but he was able to solder it back to life! The ipod touch had even more damage, the LCD was coming apart, the ipod wouldn't even turn on or even charge.. but he was able to replace the LCD completely and everything is working great! Super happy I found Evolv! First, they are BY FAR the most reasonably priced repair I have found for a cracked iPad screen. That in itself is a big thumbs up. Seriously - Apple wanted me to pay half of what I had bought the iPad for just to get in for them to look at it. I don't even know what they were going to charge me to replace the screen after that. Secondly, not only excellent quality repair (new screen that fits so perfectly the whole tablet looks brand new) AND they were quick! I live on an island and take the ferry so do as many errands as I can when I am on the mainland which is generally only once every 2-3 weeks - but rarely know exactly how long anything is going to take so appointments are difficult to schedule. They were flexible and had it fixed in easily less than an hour (didn't watch the clock but know it wasn't long) while I watched TV in their waiting area. Super friendly and pleasant to work with was just another added bonus. I don't think I'll ever take my iPad or any other device anywhere else to be fixed. read more
