Evolve is a great place I like to visit regularly. Everyone is amazing there and always makes you feel at home. So far, I have had a Really nice facial with Kelly at the Spa and made several purchases in the retail area for my skin, and home. I also tried some new beauty products and they were able to find a great match for my skin tone, and gave me a mini tutorial in applying my make up! So nice. I also love the fact that it is owned by nurses who actively seek good natural based products to carry in the store, so I don't have to spend the time going through labels with a magnifying glass..lol. Plus, they always have great smelling, well made products and make it easy to maintain my home, laundry, skincare and beauty needs in one convenient fun and friendly place. Hands down my favorite place in Providence!! The space is beautifully decorated, has a calm & cozy environment, and always smells amazing. Evolve has taken a very safe approach to reopening during these covid times. I was a member before and they respectfully put my membership on hold from March-August. Now they're doing treatments again- I restarted my membership and started with 2 massages and then I had a facial. Each time everything feels so clean and safe and healthy. Social distancing is a priority and each room is turned around very professionally. Nervous about having a massage witH your mask on? Don't be! The massages are so good you won't even realize your mask is even on! Please take this time to pamper yourself with a treatment from evolve! This past Saturday, I scheduled a last minute massage at Evolve for 2:45pm. Before arriving, I tried to fill out the intake form to no avail. I showed up 15 minutes before my scheduled massage so that I had enough time to complete the form. After standing in line for five minutes, one of the staff members brought me upstairs and helped me complete the intake form. It took 5 minutes before the massage therapist greeted me. I got changed and waited on the table for another 5 minutes. The massage started at 3pm. While I was getting dressed, I noticed that she has stopped at 2:45pm. The massage was only 45 minutes, but the MT instructed me that I had to pay for one hour. I explained to her that I showed up 15 minutes ahead of my scheduled time. My wife is a licensed MT at an exclusive RI CC, so I know how these things work. If I had showed up late, I would just owned it and went about my day. She did not seem to care and told me that I had to pay for the entire hour. When I went to pay, I asked to speak with the owner. She was not present, so the staff at the front desk called her. The cost for the massage was $120 for an hour. The owner told her staff to give me a $15 credit which I felt was not sufficient because they were still charging me an extra $15 for a service that I never received. The massage was decent, but the overcharging for a service that I never received left a bad taste in my mouth. If you do book a massage here, pay attention to the clock. I'd also recommend showing up 15 minutes early, even though that did not help case at all. Some of the staff were very professional and friendly, while others where inline with owner's mantra...overcharge customers for services that were not rendered. Very bad experience overall. Too many other local spas that will give you what you paid for. read more

I had an anti-aging facial with Kim and she was amazing. I had never had a facial before and this far exceeded my expectations. There were so many extras I wasn't expecting like really nice massage all over my head and arms it was incredible. I also felt like she paid really close attention to my skin type (I have eczema) and tried to give me advice and paid special attention to problem areas. One thing I hate about spa services in general is when they try to up-sell you extra services when you're already spending a good amount of money. Kim didn't try to sell me anything additional at all and helped me when I told her I actually wanted to purchase one of the products; no pressure at all though. My skin looks beautiful and all of the products smelled amazing. I will most definitely be back in the spring! read more

Treated myself to a facial for my birthday. I came with my sister and mom. I am so happy I found this place on Google. The place is clean, cute and the staff is very kind. They were very professional. They wore mask and facial shields. I thoroughly enjoyed my express facial. My technician Maggie was amazing. The shop was lovely and had so many cute items. Great for yourself or thoughtful gifts. I will say it's a bit over priced but that's expected when you have a cute little store. I especially liked that they had samples of dark chocolate to try which was nice. My only thing was their stock of actual essential oils wasn't very big at all. Same thing for herbs. I had the 60 minute Pure Results Facial yesterday with Amy. She was great, as was the facial! I love that Amy really catered this facial to my exact skin type and gave me great recommendations to help improve my overall skin quality. I saw someone commented about their facial with Maggie and although I'm not a frequent Yelp reviewer, I have to disagree. I got a facial with Maggie a few weeks ago and she did a great job! I got the same add on, and my skin felt/looked so much better afterwards. I even felt there was more of a massage than I had anticipated. Afterwards we not only spent time talking about what products she used, but she came downstairs with me (to the store), to talk through other products that may work for my skin type. I ended up going back and purchasing a lot of makeup because it's clear this place knows what they are talking about. The renovation is amazing, and I will be back! read more

A wonderful boutique. The beautiful young woman behind the counter spared no expense in helping me decide between facial oils. I, being excruciatingly indecisive in nature, was cripplingly unable to decide between oils, but a quick search of the reviews by the darling cashier made it apparent which oil was perfect for my skin. Outside of the outstanding service, the ambiance is quite soothing. The shelves are littered with small plants and the scent of bath time envelopes you, guiding your mind to reminisce on more pleasant times (given yesterday's Supreme Court Justice nominee, this was much appreciated). I am ecstatic to try out my new purchases, and I hope to see an improvement not only in my complexion but also in my love life (I am over the moon to experience the wonders of the lovers' oil with my lover). read more

I really wanted to like this place ! I was excited that I was able to have an appt. same day I called for a facial . I had Maggie for a 60 minute facial. It was poor. No extractions were performed barely an facial massage . I was not recommended any products or told what products were being used on my skin. I elected to have a fruit enzyme peel placed for an additional $15 and in my experience they should be left on for several minutes. It felt applied then removed shortly afterward. My skin had no appearance of having had a facial. My skin was not supple nor did it appear hydrated. Who doesn't love being pampered? I wanted to get a facial to kick off the new year and I figured it was a great time to test out Evolve's spa services! First off, the place always smells amazing. Let's get right into the facial, the room was clean, and relaxing. Kelly did a wonderful job of understanding the problem areas of my skin as well as going into the details of what the service included. After a quick but thorough conversation, Kelly got right to work with the service and it was fantastic. I will say, it was a bit odd not getting any extractions done at a facial but at the time, there wasn't anything to extract and Kelly explained that it's not worth extracting for the sake of extracting. Totally makes sense. Overall, the service was good and the ambiance was nice. I also appreciated that there wasn't an overly hard sell when it came to purchasing their products. read more

What a charming little store! I popped in on the first warm, sunny day since I can remember and was greeted by the smell of beautifully fragrant herbs and a lovely French accent. What I thought was going to be a store full of bath products ended up surprising me; in addition to FABULOUS bath products -- some locally made, at that -- they have cleaning products, a few items for baby, a full makeup line AND a spa in the works. Nice! I was also taken with their small collection of very elegant and tasteful jewelry -- what a surprise to find that here! Think dainty, current but classic mixed metals with a unique and beautiful aesthetic. I fell in love with a necklace and treated myself, actually. This little shop (and soon-to-be spa) is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood. I can see myself popping in for everything they have to offer -- soaps, detergent, bath oils, candles, skin care and baby items, too. Everything in the store is selected with care by the two owners, who are also nurses. All ingredients are wholesome, high-quality and gentle. I love it! read more

I came in here as I was doing some Christmas shopping. It's a small, but spacious spot right across from The Camera Werks. They have a large variety of specialty shampoos, soaps, and skin care products. A lot of these things seem to be priced well, less than or comparable to online/prices elsewhere. There's also a good amount of mens care products (good for me, of course). This included beard oils, lotions, shaving products, and such. They also sell New Harvest Coffee beans; weird but I'm into it. I picked up some lip balm and a gift pack. The staff was nice enough to offer to gift wrap my things and give some product insight. With such a nice selection of things and a friendly staff, I'll be sure to come back. read more

What an amazing experience!!!! Growing up I always had issues with my skin. I was hesitant about having a facial in fear that my skin would have a bad reaction and become worse, but this was not the case at all. I started going here to get waxed by Steph Kaminski back in December 2019, and continued both before the pandemic and after the pandemic. I kept going back to her because prior to there did not seem to be an aesthetician in the Providence metro area (aka RI and nearby MA) that could remember to NOT put stuff on my face after a wax which I realized made me break out every single time and was very clear in communicating to each person I tried. I was certainly not expecting people to remember from visit to visit, and reminded them at the beginning of each visit, but Steph is literally the only professional that was able to remember this. It sounds small, but I feel like this is a big deal when you are working closely with people's bodies. Though I do not partake any more in the more intimate waxing procedures like Brazilians, I would highly recommend Steph for that since she is also very friendly and comfortable to be around. She she is very self aware yet un-self conscious which is a great combo of traits for someone in this line of work, so you should definitely go see her! Online scheduling is very easy, and so is parking on or near Hope St., so there is really no excuse! read more

I hadn't had a Brazilian was in 4-5 years and got one just minutes ago from Xiomara! I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. She let me know she uses a hard wax that contains a natural anti-inflammatory. Even though it had been so long since I had a wax, the pain was MINIMAL for what I was expecting from past experiences (and I have REALLY thick hair..) She was also super friendly and so sweet. 10/10 would recommend and I will DEFINITELY be back! read more

I went in for a Brazilian wax 3/16/2020. It was done with no pre-wax cleanser and with no gloves. As a result, it's causing me to have ingrown hair and terrible pimples which never happened before. The only good thing is that they use hard wax. That's about it. Not recommended unless they put on the gloves and use pre-wax cleanser. read more

Stopped in to check this place out a few weeks ago and met one of the owners, then went in this past Saturday and had my makeup done.
