So Sad - I'm going to start by saying - I hate having to write a bad review.  However, I do look at reviews and if I saw a review like mine, I would have gone somewhere else to have my hair done. I consulted with Mercedes before my appointment. I told her about my hair and that it tends to pull red, which I don't want any of. I showed her pictures of the color I wanted and asked her if this is something she would be able to do with my hair.  When I booked my appointment, I asked if there will be extra time that day to make any corrections if needed, since I had a big celebration right around the corner and I wouldn't have time to come back. On the day of my appointment, I showed Mercedes the pictures again and reminded her that I didn't want any red in my hair. Towards the end of my appointment Mercedes was encouraging me to leave without drying my hair.  When I explained that I'd like to see how the color came out, Mercedes became annoyed.  A few mins later I realized she had a client waiting. When my hair was dry and she turned my chair around I was able to see the final product. I was shocked. It was nothing like the picture. The back of my hair was completely over-processed = no color at all.  The top of my head looked as if I was wearing a RED crown. I asked Mercedes why my hair didn't look anything like the picture. She said I would have to come back another day and she will put a toner on it.  REALLY???   A toner was not the answer. read more

This is something I have never seen before, and let me tell you it was the most amazing pedicure I have ever had. I would give 10 stars if I could!! I had a special experience with Marlys Bailey while having a pedicure. It all started with a welcoming, cheerful atmosphere when I arrived at this quaint Salon & Spa. I was ushered into a quiet and clean room that looked relaxing and serene while soft spa music played in the background. Sat on a luxurious high back chair, while dipping my feet in a bowl of warm soothing water and inhaling the rooms gentle aroma. Marlys' soft voice and gentleness put my mind at ease and helped me relax. Next I knew my chair was reclined back for the zero gravity effect, a soft blanket was placed on me along with a warm weighted pad being placed on my belly and eyes (that put on a whole new level of relaxation!) I opted to have the chair vibration on my back while lying back, which helped the back muscles a lot! Earphones were then put on me, playing soft music and next I was engulfed in a whiff of a soft fragrance. Next, Marlys began to work on softening and massaging my feet and calves. Some people are unfortunately too rough during a Massage, but Marlys has mastered the art of just the right amount of muscle manipulation. I then had my toenails painted and made beautiful again! Let me start by saying first off that I have a personal very close relationship with Jenna, the salon owner. I met her working at a pizza place in high school. Not only was she fun to work with but she was still able to get work done in the process. We instantly got along and became friends. Jenna radiates a genuine warmth and care and consideration for you. Just go meet her and you will see. I can't imagine a better business owner. I decided to go Evolve and surprise her and support her business by getting a service done. I was instantly greeted by Brandon and Ariel with a smile. I said my hello to Jenna, who was busy pampering a client, and returned to the front desk to schedule a pedicure for my overworked feet! Luckily Kristen was available. And quickly got all ready for me.....Now let me tell you this is not your ordinary run of the mill pedicure! I normally go and do the super cheap nail only places where they are more concerned about getting as many people shoved in one sitting then taking time and care with your nails. The Evolve pedicure is only a little more money, $49 and I usually spend about $35, and what you get for the money is worth every penny. Kristen started by cleaning up my cuticles and clipping my nails. Then moved on to scrubbing the dead skin off my feet. She used a tool that eliminated my dead skin and callus's without hurting my feet.... unlike those cheese grater looking tools they normally use (my feet are as soft as a baby's butt haha) she took her time and was super thorough. After that it was relaxing time...I got covered in a pillow soft blanket, the chair moved back into a comfy laying position and was draped in a warm aromatherapy neck/shoulder pillow, face mask, and ear covering head phones (playing chill tunes). Then the message.... oh man. Kristen began to rub my shoulders, my head, and then my feet and legs. I have never been so relaxed. She then painted my toes and slipped on my shoes while I was still reclined and in my state of bliss. Now that I've had a pedicure like this, I'm never going back to those fast service nail places. The service was above a beyond, the business model of being eco friendly and cruelty free is close to my heart, and the people that work at the salon are instantly like friends. The BEST pedicure ever! I was visiting Phoenix this past weekend when my cousin recommended we get a pedicure at Evolve. We had the Zero Gravity Lux 90 min pedicure. First of all, I didn't know what to expect but my experience was truly amazing and relaxing! From the foot soaking to head/shoulder/neck massage to personal ear phones with relaxing sounds to the foot rub to the aromas ....I don't think I could ever go back to having a regular pedicure at any other place. I was able to get in today with Anna Paula. My services done were exceptional. Anna Paula was so nice and well trained that my nails haven't looked this good in awhile. This was my first time at this salon and I was very impressed! It's a beautiful salon with a very kind gentleman at the front desk who welcomed me in and got me something to drink. I was also pleasantly surprised that the salon is part of the green circle salons world wide. Which means they recycle 95% of everything at the salon. Even color waist! My stylist was Clare, She was so sweet and very informative. She took a lot of time to really understand what it is I wanted done to my hair. I had grey roots and faded color with a few too many highlights. She fixed my color and highlights and was able to cover my grey completly. The results were amazing!! I highly recommend Clare as a stylist. My cut is in style and easy to handle. I love my hair!!!! Lastly, Mercedes did my pedicure and let me tell you... I was so relaxed and comfortable I think I may even have dozed off. She was so sweet! The chairs, music, heating pad, and blankets were a great touch and the massage was great!!! I waited until after my second massage at Evolve with Kristen to post this review. I thought maybe the first one, as amazing as it was may have been a fluke. Kristin has unbelievable skills and my second massage was even better than the first. I didn't think that was possible. I have had dozens of therapeutic massages over the years but this was out of this world good. She exerts the perfect amount of pressure for me and works all of the trouble areas with precision.
