This place is always a great choice for a hearty meal. We…read morereally enjoy Greek food, and we try and come here at least 1 time every 2 months. Pastitsio was a huge serving (it's normal serving for them) and was packed with flavor. The Greek salad my husband got was very good. Very fresh veggies and was good until the last leaf. Overall, we always leave feeling full and the staff is always great here. Very nice.

I'm not that well-endowed in my knowledge of Greek cuisine. So I came into Mykonos with an open…read moremind and empty belly unsure of what to order. I went bold and tried the Combination Plate as it all looked so tasty. Everything was delicious! However, the highlight was the Moussaka with its savory and filling flavor! The Pastitsio was creamy and the tasty sauce was a little sweet, the gyro meat was fresh and the Tzatziki sauce helped top it all off. It was my first time trying Fila Dolmades, which also was good, but not sure about the grape leaves just yet. It came with two sides so I started things off with the lemon, chicken and egg soup called Avgolemono, which was very velvety and opened up the sinuses. Then a side of their green beans since I was craving something green after all the meat and pasta. And my partner really enjoyed his fresh classic gyro and Greek fries. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest, but public bathrooms never really are and the environment inside was all very comfy-cozy. But it's the food that stole the show and it's no wonder that this place has been around for 21 years and on the list of Seminole County's top hidden gems of a restaurant.

Took me so long to finally try this spot near me but today was finally the day! Ordered takeout…read morefrom The Great Greek for dinner and it was great. A little pricy but portion sizes were decent and the food was very filling. I got a falafel pita and the falafel was HUGE and fluffy and tasted freshly made. Some of the best falafel I've had. Love the variety of veggie options and the Greek fries looked sooo good, will definitely be trying them next time.

Things have changed a bit... 1) Gyros went from big to…read moresmall. As you can see in the pic, the chicken gyro with extra tzatziki (which was missing as usual) weighed 9.6 ounces INCLUDING the box and paper...for $12.49!? 2) The size is way down from before. Less chicken, less tzatziki. 3) I tried to put the order in online multiple times with 2 browsers. FAIL. Had to call. 4) We stopped getting the hummus. It's just bland. 5) We stopped getting the sides altogether...they're just too expensive. 6) It feels uncomfortable in the store. Always quiet and like we're an inconvenience being there, so this time we did take-out. Apparently we're not alone, not a single customer was in there on a Saturday at dinner time. It's very frustrating to spend over $26, pick up the order and the bag feels like it's no more than 1 pound with 2 gyros & 2 sides of extra tzatziki in it (b/c the extra tzatziki we paid for ON the gyros is never there). The food is usually fresh (although one of the pitas seemed less than fresh this time), but it's just too expensive for what we're getting. I don't mind paying $11.99 for the base price on the gyro if it's a decent size. It just hasn't been the past few times.

It's so top notch and the prices for what you get are so reasonable. My husband and I love it for date nights and when we take our young girls to dinner as well. Last night, Chris went above and beyond to make our dinner so special. His recommendations on every single thing from what flavor of juice our 6 year old might enjoy to what wine I should get with our lamb was spot on. Vanessa came over to check on us and it was a pleasure speaking with her as well. Everyone at the hostess stand was so kind and accommodating. We got the bread and dips appetizer, the shepherd salad with feta, and the Mixed Grill for two (all lamb) for the table of four and had MORE than enough food. Our girls split the pineapple dessert and raved! Thank you thank you thank you. See you again soon!

This experience reminded me of a Seinfeld episode. This location knows how to take a reservation,…read morethey just don't know how to keep a reservation. I made a standard (meaning indoor) reservation for two, show up at the time only to be told that there are no table available for two. I told they that I had made a reservation, they say they understand that and offer me outdoor seating instead. It's Florida, it's 90+ degrees and raining. No, we don't want to sit outside, so I tell them I made an indoor reservation. They understand but there's nothing available. I ask, then why take a reservation? They tell I that I can wait 20+ minutes for a table to become available. We do. While we wait, larger parties, with children and no reservations, come in. They immediately sit them down. So they do have tables available, they are just waiting for larger parties to come in, not just parties of two to occupy larger tables. Unbelievable. The food was great. The quantity for the prices, are great, and our waitress was great. They just need to learn how to keep the reservations. A paying customer is a paying customer, no matter the size of the party.

Unlike the venue in Hollywood, Florida, which is near our home, this one is larger and brighter and more spacious. The food is just as good and the atmosphere also is cheery and bright. We had the saganaki and the grilled octopus appetizers. Both were very good. Although we are used to cold, marinated octopus we thoroughly enjoyed this grilled version. For dinner, hubby had the lamb board and I had the slow-cooked lamb. Both were savory and satisfying, and we had enough leftovers for the next day's lunch. We were adventurous and tried the Galaktoboureko dessert, custard wrapped in honey phyllo. It was served warm, and it was sweet and creamy. Our server Rafael was very attentive. About the only problem we had was that the appetizers and entrees arrived at the same time. Say what? Nico, one of the managers, chatted with us before and told us he had worked at the Taverna Opa in Hollywood. After our meal, he stopped by to see if we liked this restaurant and even offered us a taste of mastiha, a Greek liqueur. Hubby doesn't drink, but I gladly accepted a shot (and really liked it). We had dinner around 6 pm and the entertainment was starting just as we were leaving a bit after 7 p.m. We couldn't stay longer because we had to catch a speaker. Dinner for 2 with 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, tax, and tip was $137.
