I absolutely love this place! The food is so good, the staff is pleasant and friendly. And they are efficient in getting your food correct! The seating area was clean! I got Togo orders, they have really good bowls, you choose what you want in the bowl and it's sooo good! Today I got the chicken bowl. A steak bowl and a cheese quesadilla kids meal with fries. The fries are homemade!!! Overall an excellent experience.

Over the Top Pita is a great spot for Mediterranean food in the Clermont, Florida area. Over the Top Pita is located in the same shopping plaza as the Publix. It is not a big restaurant, but the staff was friendly and the food is very good. The inside is warm and inviting and overall it has a nice ambiance. I went with the gyro and I would definitely recommend the gyro. Since it is in a shopping plaza, parking was not an issue. Overall, I would definitely recommend Over the Top Pita if you are in Clermont, Florida and craving Mediterranean food.

What a little Mediterranean treat! The service was quick and easy to order from the menu. For the Pita Bowl, you complete a little custom selection paper to have exactly what you want on it. Want to try all of the sauces? You can! Because it all comes on the side. The falafel appetizer is a must. We will be back!

Small but mighty! Great gyro's! They sneak a couple of fries in the gyro. Had a small salad and hummus with a pita! Fast Service and friendly staff.

Awesome customer service. Looking forward to trying the pita for the first time. I'll come back and try the gyro next time, was feeling spicy (chicken) this time around. Great place to hang, great place to grab and go.

Great gyros- lamb and beef was well seasoned. Fried fish and blacked fish were excellent! Friendly service always. Everything is freshly made for you when order is placed. Definitely a stop well worth making!

Disappointed. The chicken and fries were real soggy. Feels like Wendy's fries but worst. All your food should be crispy not soggy, yuck

Pitas always taste fresh, especially the falafel, and the service is quick and friendly. French fries are hot and crispy.

A little pricy but portion sizes were decent and the food was very filling. I got a falafel pita and the falafel was HUGE and fluffy and tasted freshly made. Some of the best falafel I've had. Love the variety of veggie options and the Greek fries looked sooo good, will definitely be trying them next time.

Things have changed a bit... 1) Gyros went from big to…read moresmall. As you can see in the pic, the chicken gyro with extra tzatziki (which was missing as usual) weighed 9.6 ounces INCLUDING the box and paper...for $12.49!? 2) The size is way down from before. Less chicken, less tzatziki. 3) I tried to put the order in online multiple times with 2 browsers. FAIL. Had to call. 4) We stopped getting the hummus. It's just bland. 5) We stopped getting the sides altogether...they're just too expensive. 6) It feels uncomfortable in the store. Always quiet and like we're an inconvenience being there, so this time we did take-out. Apparently we're not alone, not a single customer was in there on a Saturday at dinner time. It's very frustrating to spend over $26, pick up the order and the bag feels like it's no more than 1 pound with 2 gyros & 2 sides of extra tzatziki in it (b/c the extra tzatziki we paid for ON the gyros is never there). The food is usually fresh (although one of the pitas seemed less than fresh this time), but it's just too expensive for what we're getting. I don't mind paying $11.99 for the base price on the gyro if it's a decent size. It just hasn't been the past few times.

Unlike the venue in Hollywood, Florida, which is near our home, this one is larger and brighter and more spacious. The food is just as good and the atmosphere also is cheery and bright. We had the saganaki and the grilled octopus appetizers. Both were very good. Although we are used to cold, marinated octopus we thoroughly enjoyed this grilled version. For dinner, hubby had the lamb board and I had the slow-cooked lamb. Both were savory and satisfying, and we had enough leftovers for the next day's lunch. We were adventurous and tried the Galaktoboureko dessert, custard wrapped in honey phyllo. It was served warm, and it was sweet and creamy. Our server Rafael was very attentive. About the only problem we had was that the appetizers and entrees arrived at the same time. Say what? Nico, one of the managers, chatted with us before and told us he had worked at the Taverna Opa in Hollywood. After our meal, he stopped by to see if we liked this restaurant and even offered us a taste of mastiha, a Greek liqueur. Hubby doesn't drink, but I gladly accepted a shot (and really liked it). We had dinner around 6 pm and the entertainment was starting just as we were leaving a bit after 7 p.m. We couldn't stay longer because we had to catch a speaker. Dinner for 2 with 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, tax, and tip was $137.

I asked upon entering about the authenticity of the Greek Potatoes (which I really enjoy at Santorini's and at The Acropolis) . When my waitress came around I reiterated how I was looking forward to the Greek Potatoes and what would she recommend to go with them. I told her I was not interested in any other carbs so bring me her recommendation with veggies and whatever comes with it that she thinks would be good for me. She came back and said I HAD TO pick soup or salad - something we had discussed that I didn't want. Just the yellow potatoes & veggies if she had any that weren't all carbs. 1/2 way through the meal I asked her if there was a reason I didn't get my Greek Yellow Potatoes: this is where things went wrong. She said she was sorry that that was "her bad." As I was about to leave she said she was going to have to Add Another charge for my potatoes. 5.27 - I gave her my reasonable objection and she still said she was sorry that she forgot them but was still going to have to Charge ME. NEEDLESS to say I will not be back nor will I recommend. It was just me. $24 for the lunch special and I believe I was clear with "what does that include" and "can I forego soup and salad and substitute something else." I reiterated my objections to staff as I was leaving and retracted tip and did not order my cookies. I was calm and polite. But I felt unwelcome and cheated. Nobody tried to fix this. No bread of any kind was included and she was sure of that tho at the time all I had were a few canned green beans in sauce with nothing to use to push them onto my fork. Okay - but I could use my Potatoes for that but they were not here.
