I had great experiences when took my niece here for her 3 wisdom tooth extraction about 2 weeks ago. This is extremely nice and clean office. It was easy to schedule via phone. We felt welcome when first came in. Staff was helpful contacting insurance and checking for coverage while we were filling out standard paperworks. We only had to wait for less than 10 minutes before be called in back office. The procedure and home care after procedure were well explained and all questions were answered in details by Dr.Trinh and his dental assistant before he started. Although we were so afraid that my niece would have a lot of pain with pulling 3 wisdom teeth at once, she actually didn't. He did it so fast and gently, talking to my niece during procedure what she would expect next. Thank you for taking care of my niece very professionally. Stay AWAY!! This dental group are the most greedy I have ever seen!! They over charged me and said my insurance didn't cover it, later I come to find my insurance did cover the procedure. They want money and try to find anything that's wrong with your teeth just to get money. I switched to a better insurance company and excel dental was still trying to tell me that the cost will be even more than my previous carrier. They lie, steal, and are unprofessional. read more

No No No!!! My husband and I both went here and never again!!! He sat my husband down and gave him a 20 min talk about how my husband needs to take better care of his teeth, how he is gonna have to have fake teeth someday, blah blah blah!!!! My husband is scared to death of the dentist and when leaving there he never wanted to go back! He tried to scare him! Then with me he told me my wisdom teeth needed out ASAP!!! Or I could be paralyzed! I was scared! I went to dr Kevin Chou which is amazing!! And he looked over my X-rays and said NO you don't need them out! I was in no pain and the teeth were giving me no problems. This guy wants your money!!! He will tell you every little thing that's wrong, every little gap or whole needs to be fixed, anything to get extra money! No thank you! Will not be back. I have been coming here regularly for over 5 years. I would recommend it to anyone. One time I had a bad tooth ache and they were closed over a holiday weekend and the Doctor was out of town possibly out of the country and he still got back to me and prescribed me some medication that helped tremendously and then got me first things when he returned. My son had a dental emergency and needed to be seen same day. Our regular dentist didn't have availability. I was nervous about trying a new dentist but I am so glad we went here. They took great care of us. My son has only had cleanings and no major dental work. When they told us he needed two teeth pulled I was worried he'd be upset and freak out but the staff was wonderful at keeping him calm and he didn't even cry. The Doctor & staff at Excel Dental are on point! Not only are they great with adults they are great with kids too! Very professional & clean! What I appreciated most about my visit is the Doctor is very honest & up front he was very thorough in explaining my needs of treatment. He communicated very clearly by showing me my x-rays & pictures taken of the specific areas that needed to be treated! In addition, all three of my kids enjoyed the visit and the staff was very friendly & encouraging! I needed a root canal asap but my regular dentist was not able to do one because they contract ortho surgeons and i would've had to wait two weeks and i was in too much pain to wait that long. Excel got me in the next morning. Dr. Trinh and his staff are amazing. They made sure i was comfortable the whole time i was recieving treatment. Needless to say i ended up leaving my long time dentist and switched to excel the prices are better, the service is top notch, and the treatment needed is in house. Side note my daughter needed a crown her regular pediatric dentist quoted me double what i paid here and they were amazing with her. She was scared at first but they made her feel comfortable and she was all smiles when we left. DR. TRINH explained everything he was going to do to her which calmed her nerves. read more

Dr. Trinh and his Whole staff is absolutely excellent. I'm never been so welcomed and comfortable at a dentist place like this one. I needed dental work done and no other dentist took the risk but Dr. Trinh did and I'm very happy with his work. I have been going to Excel Dental for over 2 years. I have gingivitis and just a really difficult problem with decay and bone loss. This dentist did my whole mouth with implants, crowns and major bridge work. It was painless and so successful. I now have a movie star smile along with relatively easy maintenance. He removed teeth, did root canals, placed implant and placed a 5-tooth bridge. I had been to many many dentists thru my life (had this work done at age 66). This dentist at Excel Dental, Dr. Lam Trinh saved me from EVER having to wear false teeth and gave me a Julia Roberts smile. read more

I called yesterday to see if Dr. Trinh would be able to squeeze me in today for an appointment to fix my chipped tooth. They ended up getting me in on short notice and fixed my chip in about 30 minutes. The price was extremely reasonable. They are a warm and professional group of people at Excel. I went in for an appointment today and received a terrible service. The dentist required xrays for my visit and it took the nurse over 3 tries to get it right. Immediately after the dentist arrives and goes over all the so called nessesary information for wisdom teeth extractions but failed to mention the services he was talking about were optional. As I come to the end of my visit which was over an hour, they're fiance person; Nancy was vacant from her desk. This allowed for the nurse to go over the financial statement for the next visit. As I am asking the nurse if the services are all required she tells me yes and hands me the bill for a very large sum. Later in the day I call to receive my x-rays from the visit, as I am approached by Nancy in a very rude manor. As I found out that the services he was requiring for his office were optional. I wouldn't recommend this dentist because of they're lack of communication, terrible service, and rude employees. read more

Worst experience ever. Bad quality, greedy diagnostic, horrible estimating Bad quality: crown was installed on top of my existing tooth, had an infection ~6 months later, came back, tooth had to be removed and new crown installed - at my cost of-course. Greedy diagnostics: I am 40 years old, I can be very proud about my tooth health. I chose this dentist because it was close to my house and I did reed one good review about this office. When I came in for my yearly checkup, Dentist found a lot of issues (dentist did have some fancy equipment). It was estimated that it will cost me $16,000 to fix all issues. Of-course I did not have money to fix them all therefore I started with dentist's recommendation. Later when my experience turned in to be miserable with this place I left and went to Capital Dental Group. What was very interesting is that Capital Dental Group did not find any of the issues that I was pointed out at Excel Dental. I believe that the guy at Excel Dental was creating non-issues, so he can charge me money. And yes, he does drive Ferrari. Horrible estimation: besides recommending me all the non-issues, even if I did agree to be worked on, the estimation never came in as estimated. Every, and I mean every time when work was done, few weeks later I got a bill on mail, saying that the insurance did not cover something and I need to pay more. And that "more" wasn't $100 or $200 it was always more than a $1,000 Yes the place looks neat, dentist has fancy cameras....., but he will be drilling your teeth that don't need to be drilled, and will charge you a lot of money. I WOULD DO NOT recommend this place to my enemy. read more

Reading the other reviews, people say they didn't like the estimates they were given, but in my experience, Dr. Trinh was very fair and forthcoming with expectations for further dental work. He just lays it all out for you with price estimates, and doesn't pressure you, but does provide his recommendations. The staff is also amazing, always a pleasure to see everyone! read more

Amazing job!!! I have always been nervous about dental work since a very young age. In the Army they never gave a shit. Do the work, get out type of attitude. My horrible responsibility, my lack of going to dentist and of course fear had finally caught up. This staff as well as Dentist treated me with the upmost respect and truly showed passion about my nerves of going in for dental work. They took care of my faults with complete understanding of not only my physical situation but financial situation as well. I received Dr. Trinh's services approximately 7 years ago......root canals, implants, a bridge, and veneers on my front teeth, all totaling well over $20,000.00. Within one week one of the veneers fell off, he promptly put it back on, but now, after only 7 years I am faced with thousand of dollars in repairs. 2 Veneers have cracked and broken off (FRONT TEETH), he blames this on cavities under them???? Imagine that, cavities are breaking porcelain???? The bridge has broken, and the porcelain crowns are crumbling, he says he has no control over porcelain breaking???? A chunk of porcelain has broken away from one of the implants.....he says its because it is attached to metal. Needless to say.........I AM FURIOUS, AND HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TO CONSULT WITH A MALPRACTICE ATTORNEY!!!!! Oddly, Dr. Trinh did work on my sisters teeth at the same time he was doing my work, last year her crowns began crumbling and breaking as well, and her bridge has broken.......unfortunately, she cannot afford to have them repaired, her work was over $5000.00. No, I absolutely do not recommend this dentist......especially for cosmetic dentistry!!!!! read more

this place is horrible.. dentist was saying everything was wrong with my teeth he was very unproffesional.. they call and harass you to come in even when you declined follow up. they called my work and somehow got my ext and harrassed me at work to follow up with them when i never even provided them with my work number.. stay away from this place i will never step in that horrible place again.. there greedy obnoxious people! read more
